hi afcai,
like starluster said, i use thermo lunch jar to store jav porridge when we r outside. it can keep warm for 3 to 4hrs.

hope u feel alright now. actually 2 weeks bk when we came home from my parents hse, jav also refuse to sleep n wanna to play. The more he played, the more energetic he gotten. we try all means to let him fell asleep but failed. end up fell asleep on my arms around 1plus in the morning after crying for awhile. luckily happened only once. *touch wood*

err..tx ai-yo, she is not that active but only impatient, will scream when she can't get what she want. of cos, cannot let her have her way loh.
she dun want to latch on (last time I tried is during Jun period), she just place nipple in her mouth and then bite man...after that dun seem interested in sucking, look here and there, sweating so much.

wow selinna slp so late, never establish a fixed sleeping routine for her since young? then u must be tired then cos next day still need to get up to work.
hmm so u bring hm selinna daily?? tx's teeth has not grown completely, only can see little portion of white thing, when touch it, it is sharp.
my frenz told me I dun have enough calcium so my bb grow teeth slower, dunno how true leh. my frenz when preggie that time, she consume calcium tablets, her bb boy grew teeth when he is 4 mth. so by 8 mth already have 4 teeths.
bb tx dun want her papa to carry. when papa want hug her, she struggle and quickly hold onto my shirt tightly. when force to hug her, she scream with legs kick.

for the flash card, i only get to see bb tx full day on sat and sun only. normally, weekdays, she will be at my mum'plc and I only get to see her after work when I delivered ebm. dun seem to be effective if I dun consistently flash at least 3 times a day as advice by my col.

he used to errhh errhh whenever i sing songs to him. Now he goes "ah ba, ah ba" when i sing songs. Even if he chat to himself, he also "ah ba, ah ba". my mil says he calling daddy now.. n veri excited tat his 1st word is daddy. haha.. buay tahan her. like tat also count as his 1st word. then my boi 1st word should be mummy already. coz whether he wanna mi to carry him when he gets sleepy, he will cry "e mi, e mi".

afcai, next time when u go out...go out with other mommies, so that when u forget to bring something, can borrow from them from then on ..slowly figure out what are the necessary things u need to bring and what to do in different scenarios (eg, bf in public) ...have fun! for me, one big challenge is whether to bring stroller or not ! morale of the story re failed hdd... backup backup backup! i also consume calcium tablets when i was pregnant but kate's teeth only come out during the 9th month.... ur hb alot of -ve vibes so tx is scared?

Tell her dun do that she become sensitive so used to just let her b lor. THen now she is going home to KL for sometime. I told her how I need to change things else I wun b able to cope. Finally she agreed. Nowadays I just let E play in the cot until sleepy n he will sleep himself without any patting. Then also try to stop giving him pacifier. Then try not to carry him immediately when he starts to call for attention. Just talk to him nia. Then sometimes at nite Ah Mah go inside room earlier. E dun c Ah Mah, wow, so much more guai

no time didnt post liao... I am counting down to the days to go back to work..just 3more mths to go...
Ivan's upper bunny teeth is out liao...tat could be the reason why he has been very cranky past 1mth...he doesnt nap in his own cot unless we carry him in our arms...but we dont want to make it a habit..till now he still dun nap well in the day..as a result ..nite time he can wake up four to five times...his eye bags are red red now...cant sleep...cant grow well...

Sept is coming ...tink there are several mummies whose birthday falls in Sept...QH is on 8th Sept...jackie n Gan's on 18th Sept..Och..think yrs on 5th Sept? I have pre ordered a tiramisu cake from Vanessa on 16 Sept!! cant wait to try since I have heard so much good comment on it!

Thanks for your kind words. I'm ok liao.... yah hubby is very sweet, kept asking me to go out. But I felt so guilty at losing my temper at JT, I bu she de leave her at home, so in the end, all 3 of us went out for lunch, and I came home to take a short nap.... but couldn't really sleep also lah cos keep hearing JT go "eh eh eh"....
I think I know why I couldn't control myself this time. JT has previously woken up many times a night for periods of time. I used to have no problem with that. Then now, she has been refusing to eat for the pass 1 mth. Tue was the last straw when she started to shake her head vigouroulsly during her meal times, which made feeding her not only challenging, it was impossible. I know she is teething lah, but spending 2 hours a day trying to coax her to eat is really very tiring physically and mentally. I was very particular that she take her afternoon nap if not she will be even more difficult to feed when she is tired. I thinkit all boils down to her feeding problem. And on top of that, hubby has been so busy with his work, he has been working on his laptop til midnight everyday. So communication with him became minimal during dinner time. So I have not much adult interaction also. And on top of that, it has been raining like crazy.... last time whenever I feel moody, I'll just bring JT out then I'll feel better. But it has been raining non-stop so I felt trapped in my own house with a cranky baby. But now ok lah.... I feel much better after the outburst.... but can't do it too often if not lose the effect on hubby. He was stunned cos he has never seen me like this before.

The PT cleaner has been scrubbing the ultra dirty bathrooms, clean the fan, scrub the ultra dirty kitchen, and the usual mopping and vacuum, and cleaning JT's play yard.
JT has also started calling "dadada bababa" but hubby is not impressed cos he says JT is calling that indiscriminatingly.... she even calls her cookie monster "baba"....I say he siao lor... she is only officially 8mths tomorrow, what does he expect wor...

yup.. been kinda bz + not feeling well, plus hubby not around to help out. those thermal lunch jar can be found at most dept stores - isetan, metro, taka etc etc. i bought mine during sale, cost $40++ (i think). a couple of months ago, sometimes sophia cry "ma ma", and my mum oso says sophia calling her. but nvm lor. i read somewhere "b" and "m" syllable (or isit "p"?? *forgot*) is the easiest for bb to pronounce. so that is why she called out ma ma... not really coz she is calling ah ma *haha.. me just being sour grapes*
i rather think that her first word is "ah choo" coz my hubby got sinus rhinitis problem...everyday oso hear him sneezing (very loudly) that sometimes she got shock.. so everytime we will tell her.. daddy ah choo, don't need to be frighten.. then repeat the ah choo a few times...so sometimes she will imitate us and say "ah choo". very cute! but can't catch it on cam lei... coz when cam on standby she dont wanna say. hrmphh!

i havent been pumping for 3 days liao.. and now feeling pain in my breast, like blocked duct like that.. for the last few weeks have been pumping once a day...sometimes 2 days once.. and the amt like 20~30ml only.. thot can forgo it totally. mummies who stop expressing... how did u do it?? endure the pain or still express it out?

oic. cos yesterday night already detect brown spot so I think 'gd fren' will be coming. agreed sian....oic. pump 3 times, last 2 wk, I also tried to pump 3 times per days bec I need to go d n d and also NDP so miss one pump or delay the pumping. come back luckily dun have block duct but breast only veri hard till bm drip all over the shirt and floor (that's after I bath).
do PH slp yao lan before? tx will need to rock to slp when at my in laws hse but she can slp on her own at our hse. she just flip and flip then wave her handichief and then stuck her 2 fingers and doze off after that. this little missy really sweat a lot, everytime need to change her towel (double layer) which is placed at the back of her head.

Last 2 weeks, my hayley been waking in the middle of night and keep crying/refusd to sleep (e.g. 2.30am - 4.30am). OMMMGGGG Making us sooo tired at work at daytime. This few days, she a bit normal even though she wakey around 4 or 5am, standing at her cot and keep calling us for attention. Right after we put her together to laze with us, we just sleep while she roll n roll till she tired and back to zzz.

I still remember last year 4th Nov, I was heavy preggy with bb, and I still went for the signing event. So glad this time, can bring Hayley along to see see.

as for homemade yoghurt, I just made some on wed night. My indian colleague taught me the method as she also been making yoghurt for her boi. Yoghurt that are seling in supermarket may contains preservatives/sugar and plain yoghurt is too sour as they set it for very long. Homemade one -> you can control the sourness and gentle for bb stomach. Even we adult can eat it too.
Sharing with all mummies on the method.. easy as 1.2.3..
Ingredient : 200ml fresh milk, 1/2 tsp plain yoghurt (which u can purchased it fm supermarket)
Methods: Warm the milk over a saucepan to abt 37 temp, stir and add the yoghurt. store in a air-tight container and let it set in room temp for at least 5 hours but not more than 12 hours. U then store the yoghurt in the fridge, use within 3 days.
* Any remaining yoghurt left in fridge, can provided culture for yur next batch of yoghurt.
Serving method for bb : scoop some and add some fruit puree. Voila..bon appetite

Yah yah.... haiz dunno why these babies like to torture us leh.... how long was Mandy like tat? JT has been at it for >1mth already. Last week she was starting to eat for the 1st 10-15min of her meal, which I tot I was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, but suddenly she got worse again.... I think she is teething again, but her bottom 2 teeth still hasn't fully grown yet leh, dun tell me her upper ones are coming out too? But I feel her gums like nothing leh.... haiz really dunno when it'll be over....

hehehe... you should have seen how dirty my bathrooms and kitchen are No lah, everytime she'll have a weekly routine (vacuum/mop floor, clean kitchen, bathroom, toilet, play yard). Then there is a additional thing that I'll ask her to do that is not weekly. Like the 1st week was scrubbing the 8mth old stains on the bathroom and kitchen, then the next week was cleaning all the 5 fans in the house, this week is the living room displays.... something like tat lor...
I can't bring JT out in the rain, cos my place to mrt no shelter one... if she fall sick then I'll be even more jiat lat!!

Homemade yogurt good hor! I also want to make but afraid I dun pasteurise the milk properly then breed god knows what other harmful bacteria. Ask you hor, must warm milk to 37degrees n leave at that temp for how long? Or is it if we start with pasteurised milk then dun have to worry too much, just warm nia can liao?

ladies,
i just realized why my ss suddenly abundant (well, to my standard lar).. its coz of one of the gastric medication the doctor prescribe. domperidone. isnt that the one for increasing ss oso? but pity have to throw away the 80ml i pumped out last nite coz other accompanying medication - omeprazole; not so safe for bf. no wonder suddenly got block duct when ss was actually dwindling liao. thanks for reminding me about the cold cabbage method! tomorrow must go ntuc liao..

hubby is thinking of no 2 so want age gap bet sibling closer fr 1-3 yr old better. next time, education wise can pass down the textbk. anyway, so dead tired where got mood, some more me still bf, sian.haa thuis time, must plan when to take ml to avoid so many ph, so lugi.
yup, we learnt a lesson next time must backup our precious data loh. hubby has bought a new hdd. now ndd is so cheap. still got a lot of thing have not install yet.

the feeding schedule at my hse and my mum'plc is diff loh cos tx will wake up early at 5am for feed at my mum
plc so my mum will give her as follow:
5am - 150ml of fm
8am- 4 tablespoon cereal with 150ml of ebm
1130am - 3 tablespoon of brown rice.
1230pm- 125ml of ebm
3pm- biscuit + 90ml of ebm
530pm- 1 bowel of porridge(fish n veg)
8pm- 150-180ml of ebm
usually ebm is not enu on mon so will have 2 feed of fm. cos at my hse, we seldom touch fm. we clear ebm first.
at my hse(wkend)
6am or 7am - 220/240ml of ebm + 20-40ml of water
1030 or 1130 - 4 tablespoon of cereal + 150ml ebm
3pm - 100 ml of ebm
6pm at in laws hse - porriage with side dish(piece of fish, 2 slice of potato, 2 small carrot, 3 small pumpkin or sometimes few pieces of tofu)
0930pm(reach hm)- 125ml + 20ml of water
of cos in betw got give her water.
