Hi Ladies,

I'm new to this thread but I hope you won't mind another preggie joining in. It's so nice to have found a forum for MTB's to share stories and experiences.

Just a brief intro to get started. I'm 1st time mum and am expecting my baby boy to pop end Dec. Had such a laugh reading thread abt age and weight concerns. BTW, I'm OLD and FAT and I literally turned green with envy when I read abt your weights.

Hi Bloom! Yar lor, our GP and colleagues kept telling us to hurry and have a baby coz not getting young anymore.... so much pressure. Now that we think about it, I guess they were right.

Gan, are you sure Mrs Wong is selling nappies cloth?? coz she told our class that up to now she is still sourcing for good nappies cloth. All those in the market are not up to her standard yet. The ones she sold at my class are flannel wrap (for swadling).

I've only found 1 stall outside carrefour selling it and it's expensive and not as nice as HK one.... Last trip I went to HK, only manage to find it in HK and I stay in Kowloon.... so only manage to eat 1 bowl only

I shall go Chinatown if I got the chance....

KKH doesn't give me that when I was there with my 1st, that's y I'm surprise with TMC when they give it to me. But no.1 was born perfectly leh, no poo poo leh....

As for the ambulance, I'm not quite sure, cos nvr tried b4. I think after waterbag bust, if got own transport, u still can make it to the Hospital on time except to dirty the car, else I think wait till ambulance.... mayb abit late liao, depending on the waiting time.

tummy not so big better. mine was relatively small in the beginning and frens kept asking why so small. last few weeks, i started to balloon and now i am less mobile. and i hate looking like a telletubbie. hee hee
maybe too much mooncake liao. i finito one box within a week!

Childcare leave is compulsory for parents with kids under the age of 7. It's 2 days per calendar year. But my co only allow us to take it 1 day per 6 mths, cannot take 2 days together, so end of this year I haven't clear, better clear now rather than later I go on maternity and kana forfeited liao

the steam milk pudding in chinatown oso not as gd as HK one... so far HK one is the best... yum yum yum..

i had it everyday when i was in HK tt time.. stayed at causeway bay area n there's this old shop there tt sells a varieties of milk pudding... ohhhh...

Yesterday, i went to church and first time wear a baggy maternity dress (2nd hand from fren), it looks like a batik print dress...but very baggy lor and EVERYONE said to me "you look very pregnant now!". Even my frens who oredi know i'm preggie teased me by saying "wah, u're pregnant!". Last time i had ppl asking me, "why u never wear maternity clothes ah?" or "how come u dun wear maternity dresses?". Strange hor...ppl's perception on what preggie woman shd wear...

Though it's compulsory, it also depends on ur co on the terms and condition, as for my co, only for staff with salary lower than $1.6 or 1.7K, so those getting high paid than that do not have the benefits.
Though potluck, not neccessary to cook mah, u can get us some drinks...

but hor thinking of it, it's a bit difficult to do potluck lah, cos it's weekday evening, mayb can order pizza and share the cost lor....

Ya, for parents.
I've got the steam egg pudding with milk, but not nice leh, not sure if whether it's due to my itch hand, I go put inside the fridge, so when I eat, the pudding is very thick and rough.
