Ya I remember tat JT had high fever sometime back. Aiyo...poor u. Nevermind...soon JT will be toddler liao n hopefully feeding problems will vanish. Unfortunately I m sure we will be facing other "toddler" problems soon. Yah, cos he doesn't like 2 drink water/juice so for now he is strictly on milk only diet so that he gets enuff fluids. My mum bot bus ticket to go home today but on seeing E still with fever decided to stay on

I m not complaining tho...

Extra pair of hands quite handy else quite difficult to wipe up vomit pool while holding screaming baby on one arm

Ya ya...PD say recently lots of kids coming in with vomiting n diarrhoea. In fact when I was there got a few mummies come in with bb's with diarrhoea. Careful mummies. Better clean their hands, toys etc esp if u hv been out with them.

1 of my colleague, whole family dwn with stomach flu. 1st is the daddy, then elder son (3yrs), then my colleague n her bb (8mths). She went for 2 jabs n BB condition more severe so hv to go NUH a&e on drip. lucky aft 2 days discharge liao. Poor thg.

On MC today, kenna throat infection then evee also started having fever last nite. I didn't get to sleep from 5 am and today its such a struggle as she kept refusing milk, whole day drank only 200ml. Can felt that even when i carry her when sitted down my back condition will press on the nerve root causing numbness and pain in my right leg

Gan, didn't know can get it so fast thought the organiser stated 3-4 weeks so end up last nite i went guardian to buy already

I bot XXL as per advised by the pharmacist. I tried wearing today not very comfy especially the shoulder /arm pit area like kept rubbing against the strap.

jav also learn to pick up 1 gerber star n put into the mouth 2 weeks back. He used to grab a few stars n tried putting into his mouth but all ends up sticking on his fingers or palm. so funni. there was once i fed him dragon fruit n end up some of the black seeds stick on his face. the black seeds looked like moles on his face. jav looked hilarious tat mi n my hub were laughing away. seeing us laugh, jav also laugh wif us.

But honestly, if u want to learn abt diff gyms u shd attend trial cos diff things suit diff bb and parents. wat others like u may not, and wat u like others may not. So, go ahead, try for urself then decide.

Actually felt kinda sad that when Evee sick i can't take care of her cause i afraid worsen my condition. Yesterday both hubby and me take care of her but i already strained my back and felt leg pain so today hubby have to go work i dun dare to take care evee myself also. Felt kinda guilty as i may have pass the virus to Evee think her throat like not comfy.

JT can't drink Gain IQ, cos she is allergic to cow's milk mah. haiz... Actually I dun blame her for rejecting the soy FM, cos it really smells quite bad to me too... yesterday I managed to spoon feed her EBM.. so tat means it's not the taste lah!! Dunno why she suddenly dun wan to latch again...but it's so incredibly tiring, cos she will only take in abt 60ml each session, so must feed her every hr... she doesn't take her sippy cup at all now.. spoon feed milk and water every hour, and still must pump milk... wah lao, tired like anything...

How do you spoonfeed mandy milk and water such tat it's enuf?? I feel I can never give her enuf water like tat leh.... tat time she spoonfeed water, but she'll latch she still get enuf fluids, but not she won't latch, her urine also reduced, make me so scared, so now must feed her EBM every hour.... yah lor... this girl is so problematic... haiz... she slept thro last nite... she very strange one.. the other time when she rejected latch-on, she also slept thro the nite.... dunno wat's the reason... strange girl....
I think JT's character is very strong one... she wants means she wants, these 2 weeks, she is imitating adults a lot, and she is very happy everytime she succeeds in doing tat.... she loves to feed herself the teddy puffs... and if she accidentally drops it, the she will turn her head ard to look for it and won't clap.... hahaha

Is it your MIL who advise you to nite feed ethan?? It's obvious ethan doesn't want it mah... sometimes it might not be wind. Tat time JT refuse to eat, my MIL kept insisting its wind. But PD says its not leh... if she still insist its the empty stomach at nite tat is causing the wind, I advise you to bring ethan to the PD, with your MIL. Let the PD covince her that nite feeding won't cause wind. in the 1st place, it might not be wind, old folks tend to attribute everything to wind....cos babies at this age should not be so proned to wind liao. best to let the PD check.

fil is a medium... n last nite 'god' came n instructed me to feed ethan when its feeding time... he say must follow if i wan ethan to grow stronger n gain more weight... even if he is sleeping oso must feed... but i really feel there isnt a need to since he din wake up for feed... now really in dilemma... dun wanna force feed but oso dun wanna risk jeopardizing his growth...

btw, i din wake him up for feed... i juz push e teat into his mouth... usually he will juz suck while sleeping... as trained by his granny...

I brought JT the the Anne's baby and child clinic in Jurong East before. I am not comfortable with the PD, cos her equipment all look very old and not well maintained, and the medicine that she gave were generic or cheap medicines. And she charges almost the same price as the PD that JT usually goes at Mt A. So now I always bring JT back to Mt A even though its a long q.

lil, you better take care of yourself too! i'm sure ewan will be ok too. i dunno but even if ewan is ok, maybe should let him rest for another few days before travelling? i'm sure its not nice to be poked there. you dun need to do that unless the fever is over 38.5 right? last time doc also gave me another medication called cataflam or something. its a drop for every kilo of the wt of child. got orange taste. my girl likes that too. dunno suitable for bb or not, at least no need to be poked.

zion, no comments on your pil. but definitely won't get wind if no feeding at night. if not then so many bb will have wind, so many already sleeping thru. if bb cry a lot, then will have wind.

Quite true, am thinking or else go to SBCC at AMK also good, cos relatively SBCC drs are good. Sometimes I bring Reyna and Renise there to see their PD. It is not in hospital so it's ok. If u want, u can call and book now, think today is Dr Ngiam, the earliest appt u can get in the evening is 5.45pm and the waiting won't be too long.

btw, I think Kidslink in JE is no longer in operation. Now it's dunno pawn shop or some x-ray centre, provided if I'm not wrong.

a lot of mummies 'protest' over the advise to feed ethan overnite.agreed with what Dora has mentioned, bring ethan to doc with yr mil. last time, my mum also like that, she said who said one when i raise issue. I told them it is advice from KKH doc and doc. then she will slowly accept the facts. since ethan is fine skipping the nite feed, why not let it be....u will tire yrself and dun u feel

that ethan has 'graduated' from nite feed?
where's got stomach wind one...ask yrself if adult woke up in the middle of nite to consume food?? think it will take time to persude or get the information of the night feeding issue to yr mil. jkust like my mum with regard to the powder stuff....i just keep telling her for the sake of bb.

over the weekend, sometimes, she woke up at 5am for feed(since tx's 2 mth till 4mth , tx dun have night feed. until she was being taken care at my mum'plc in april, she will wake up at 4-5am my mum 's hse.) but i bo chap. I delayed and continue my slp till 6-7 when I woke up for pump then dig hubby up to feed her. tx will go bck to slp too at that time.

oic, same, tx alsop sweat a lot. so most weekend, got to on aircon and then will let her wear her logn romper but she still sweat.

for the Gerber stars, how long can Hayley take to finish the whole packet? tx only eat biscuit from baby choice or baby bits brand. she will eat half of the biscuit daily except weekend.

No leh...the suppository is paracetamol to be given if fever is below 38.5. He also gave another type of paracetamol which is less concentrated n tastes better than the infant paracetamol. But this boy ahh...abit bitter taste will also gag. THen if the fever is above 38.5 we were told to give bifen which is ibuprofen (or aspirin). Anyway...came back from PD...confirm it is fake measles liao n he may continue to run a low grade fever. Spots coming out now just as Dr said wld after 3 days of fever. But now got diarrhoea which Dr says is also normal. We r not travelling...just Grandma nia so it's ok.

Actually, not true that bb wun get stomach wind if u dun feed at nite. It really depends on whether the bb wakes up for the feed or not. Even adults sometimes u wake up at night n u feel hungry. If u dun eat, u will develop wind n worse it develops into gastric. The same with bbs. So it really depends n u must observe ur bb's behaviour. My boy was a colic baby so I m very careful. Like tx waking up at 5am for feed is not unreasonable. Must remember their food is just milk n porridge which gets digested v easily so she must be hungry when she wakes up after so many hrs of sleep. Quite poor thing to just ignore her needs n force her to go back to sleep just like tat. Anyway...that's just my opinion.

At least now its cmf fake measles. The most worrying part is when we dunno wat is the course. Densie oso had her blood drawn the last rd cos she hd mosquitoes bites and it was the peak of dengue then. Wish Ewan recovered soon. U take care too.

Not easy to handle bb when we mummies r not feeling well. Wish u n Evee had a speedy recovery. btw, r u still breastfeeding Evee? It jus strike me, cld the back prob oso due to insufficent intake of calcium esp for nursing mummies?

I oso experienced backaches these 2 mths esp aft carrying Denise using the sarong. Dunno is it I din sling properly or she is getting bigger or both.

I still prefer to use ergo carrier. Only complain is that the material is too thick for home use. If only I can find a lighter version

no comment on your FIL but juz a reminder to you.
feeding bb while laying in bed flat and asleep is not good for his ears and tooth.

Alabone had shared before tat her PD explained to her in details tat it will cause ear infection (if i din remember wrongly) if bb drink milk laying flat on bed etc.

sucking milk, juice or any carbo drink while sleeping for bb is bad for their gums and tooth (if have any).

strongly suggest tat you take your PIL to a PD and get the doc to explain the "damange" they are causing their grandchild in the long run.

Mummies, just came back from PD clinic. Was told evee got throat inflammation possibly caused by virus. She got no more fever since this morning (hope the fever won't suddenly come back tonite) but MIL said evee lost her voice..even cry also no voice..so poor thing when i heard her trying to cry just now so brot her see PD. Cost us $88+ scary hor? so ex. Doc asked if anyone sick in family i said i only lor sore throat...but i could have caught it from Evee rather i pass to her since she got the symptons first. Too stressed just now suddenly got migraine but better now afte r popping panadol.

Van, Kidslink still at JE but not at central anymore, they shifted to somewhere opp chinese garden mrt.

Roo13, i asked orthopaedic if my condition is due to lack of calcium he said no leh..my problem is more of the disc rather than bone. In your case since it is not back pain must be muscle strain..u got to strengthen your back to cope with increasing weight of bb else may end up like me spine cannot take it. I stopped breastfeeding totally 2 weeks ago..had initially wanted to stop fully next month when E turns 1 year but for health reasons no choice haiz..

I think my posture oso plays apart. I tend to slouch when I carried Denise. Yes, will try to strengthen my back with excersie (thinking of pilate) and calcium intake. My ht shrunk by 3cm during my recently comp medical check-up...scary.

Agents fee really bo hua. All they do is send the person 2 ur place once n they take $$$. Worse they also take frm the cleaner leh. So poor thing for them...work so hard for that little amt of money n agent take half. Tht's why I m quite happy to recommend Lay Choo to u cos then she dun hv to pay. She is v nice n can b trusted. When I m away I just leave her my keys. I hv been thru a few local cleaners liao...so far she is the best. I had one...wow...so kpo, everytime I talk to my mother she wld hv something to add...then talk talk talk hands never move. Then 45mins b4 times up she tells me she finito liao, packed her things n all ready to leave. I ask her u clean this n that liao meh...she say no, ok ok she clean now. Vomit blood.

ask u, where is yr nan fm manufacted and what color is the scope(spoon)? all along I tot it is fr Switzerland but yesterday, when I opened another can of Nan fm (400g), i realised the previous can that tx has finished is from holland. the spoon is yellow instead of red. dunno if nestle has changed the color of the spoon liao or not.so funny... even design of the tin is slightly different(positioning).

Glad Evee managed to see pd. I can understand how distraught and helpless you feel. Regina was sick continuously for 6 weeks, and there was a stage when she had high fever for 8 days, followed by a break of 4 days, and it resumed again for another 3 days. And at different periods during the 6 weeks, we went through 2 flu bugs, vomitting, cough, diarrhea, hard stools, eye infection, throat inflamation.... And I myself was also down with flu, cough and sore throat in tandem. All in all, it has been good training for me.

I'm staying in Bt Batok. From your postings about seeing paeds in JE and Bt Batok, I guess you probably stay somewhere nearby too. You have my number now, feel free to buzz if you need help ok?
