We used to be weekend parent when we have my gal. So now my MIL will bring Jan back and i will look after my boy. My girl will be back on friday but they will come over everyday to see my boy.

I cant handle two alone, i will go crazy.
My girl borned in Jan.

U got to look out if anyone starting a Spree to buy from v-baby. I'm sure there will be some coming soon.

usually i feel engored in the morning when i wakes up and eveningwheni go back home, cos it'll be like abt 7-8hrs without pumping already. but i realise it gets better each day. so far the uncomfort is bearable. as long as u slowly increase the time interval bet each pump, things shld be fine.

missmoon, really will feel bad ah... hopefully i can tong till 3 mths.. just abt 1 more mth to go.. biting my lips liao.. i totally agree wif u, very hard to maintain a balance family life. i can't even find time to cook. cos even if hav time, i rather just sit infront of the tv n zone out. I hav not been watchign tv for very long already lor..

lala, i using avent manual, cos no sound! i cannotimagine using eletric, i do hav medela single. but the noise produce i think the whoel office can hear! so pai say.. usually i'll put into a bag and carry the pump into the toilet.so not so obvious.

exactly lo. i haven't watched any tv for the longest time. i just wanna sleep most of the time. i'm sure u can tong lah, time really flies. after that, u can enjoy a bit

my older boy @ 34mths oso very sticky to me n my hubby.During daytime he'll ask me to play/accompany him.When his daddy is back frm work,he'll stick to him.Even when my hubby goes toliet,he oso follow.Really having hard time as nobody there to help me,so i decided to put him in C.C for full day.We r staying on our own,MIL got to work n my mum cant visit me often...stay 2 far.YA!!It's really difficult to cope wif 2 n i oso need to express milk.Btw my older child is oso having cough n i give him EBM every morning.

My gynae said he will insert the IUD for me when i go for my pap smear in my next appt. No need for surgery. But the con is got to change every 5 yrs and i think each cost 100+ - 300+ depending on the model. Oso got to check regularly to see if it drop out or not.

i cant imagine me alone wif 2 too. but my boy is super sticky to me... always mummy for everything. even daddy also dont want... some nights my mil go for line dance, i'll have to cope wif 2... hb cant help much leh... so mad...

joykel, my son's cough is on for very long liao... cant recover leh... pd says a bit asthma, oral med cant help liao so put on inhaler... now not working liao... tried chinese phy also not helping... i very worried... dont know wat to do... is your boy like that too?

go ahead n give ebm to yr boy. your boy's age is at the time when they tend to fall sick really often. he will benefit from it...I work from home so i cld bf for so long mah....

my girl used the inhalor since 2yr. asthma tend to be inherited and also due to weak immunity. what inhalor u giving him? is it ventolin and flixotide on the aero chamber?

now even the seretide also no use... doc recommend even strobger one... i'm thinking of bring him to kkh or nuh for treatment once n for all... wat do u think?

how's your girl now? is she still on the inhaler? what else shld i do?

Long time never login liao! Busy meet up with friends and shopping recently..

IUD
My sister did before and she said not good and got some side effect lo!

Now she change to "Contraceptive implants". I'm still waiting her feedback. IF good i might want to put too!

My collegue also put it and she said so far so good! She done at TMC and cost her $500/-. Can last for 3 or maybe 5 years..not sure!

My gynae told me the latest IUD has very few side effects but more expensive. He said his wife oso using it and he highly recommend it.

I oso got 2 liao cannot afford to have anymore child. Cannot handle financially, physically and emotionally.
 
Brought baby to have his first injection. 6-in-1 package cost $285 - cheaper than polyclinic. Had his Phuemococal first injection also ($155 x 3). Now baby 6 weeks old.

Went gynae check up today also. do everything today since the clinic is near where my gynae is. Cannot do pap smear yet as still not clean.

I check with gynae when my period will come but his reply is just if breastfeeding than will take longer.. hmm... if I go back to work still not yet come, then does it mean i got to wear pad everyday just in case it comes suddenly?? How did you all manage? Did you wear pad to standby?

Also today went to perm my hair.

i don't really believe the chinese/sinseh(sorry) becoz in the first place there r very limited access to understanding the benefits of bf. mainly, the western culture are more updated and scientific. so i believe only in substantiated evidence. even with the limited knowledge that i knoe, how do you link nutrient loss with menstrual flow??! I know the chinese believe that menses blood is dirty etc. i even heard one recent taiwan report that when we have menses that we should not wash our hair, if not will suffer from lots of damaging effect, if can find it will send link...

urs 4 yr old and still like that. Can talk to her? shld able to understand now. I cant stand her whining, i scold her if she did it. Stime to the extend to smack her thigh to stop it.

i dun think i can take in another child too but i wun got for ligation now. Actually more like caregiver issue. My MIL is taking care of 2 now and i dun think she can take care of 3 and will be unfair to my BIL. He may need my MIL to help him to take care of his kids next time. So by the time my kids will be all gone up and i can free my MIL to take care of BIL's kid.

When you say that flixotide not gd enough and must use seretide and now and stronger medicine, may I know how long you've been using for each inhalor? My girl on the flixotide for 2 yrs. Ventolin is a reliever while flixotide/seretide is a preventor.Is your boy taking in the medication fr the inhalor effectively. If not, sometimes it is as gd as nothing even though it is done everyday.Also you must make sure you do it religiously. What your doc is recommending is a stronger cortisteroid.But your boy is 2yrs plus right? So quite young. I am not a doc so can't understand but i'm puzzled why you say seretide is not good enough. You want to seek 2nd opinion? If you go to KKH, they also will give you a reliever and preventor if your boy's condition is bad. My girl also have to take an oral one: namely prenesolene whenever she gets bronchitis.(She got bronchitis every mth when she turned 2 until 3 yrs, afterwhich is every 2-3mths)
I learn to manage my girl's asthma problem. Becoz everytime she gets cold/cough, she will get wheezing,and v bad phelgm which will not go away until she takes the prenesolene and inhalor. So my job is to prevent her from falling sick. Even when she is well, she still takes the preventor puff daily. Becoz she also have ezcema, allergic rhinitis(at times, she have to take nose spray-steriod too), i am very careful of everything she eats,drinks and places to go. I am starting swimming for her, to help strengthen her lungs and hopefully wean her of the inhalor. You need a good doctor to follow up yr boy's condition.. i also don't believe the report .Aiyoh, my 4 yr old girl understand but can't control her emotions. She asked me to throw the bb away yesterday. So sad becoz my hubby is a busy man, can't accompany her, so , quite poor thing she.I have a maid so i try to pass the bb to her if i can but the bb also very smart. Want me most of the time.

i read abt ur girl condition, does that also contribute to her whining?

Do u know there is a steriod free nose spray? It is made of deep water sea. I have rhinitis too and i am suppose to spray everyday but i am too lazy. I used the sterid free spray and it works well too. U can get it off the shelf outside.

I am more fortuante cos hubby will help out from time to time. Stime i pass my girl to him, stime my boy. Especially if i lose patience to anyone of them, he will help me to take over.

you still awake huh... free time is when both are sleeping...yah, my girl is quite bad hor. so sad man....The nose spray i've used only one treatment of it. I even bought a v expensive air cleaner which i think helps with her nose. but recently, with the haze, the nose thingy comes back.whats the name of the spary? can children use them? Maybe i can check out in the internet first...

Maybe her whining is due to her discomfort. Just now, she sleep on my bed with only her panties and woke up crying becoz whole body itchy with lotsa rashed. She also got bites on her legs. How come adults don't get it but they do. somemore change bedsheets every 3 days....hiaz...

wanna ask mummies who are still expressing bm. how often do u express? and how much do u get each time (both side or only one side)? and u feel engorged after how many hours?

i still express milk loh..hmm...im expressing every 5-6 hrs interval...i always get ard 120-160ml per time (both sides)...hmmm...i feeel engorged abt 2 hrs later..breasts pain pain loh./..but if express every 3 hrs...milk supply miserable loh...so will let it pain till 5 hrs later..hehehe
 
Alvina, my boy and gal are always ill also... Ever since my gal was diagnosed with bronchitis 2.5 weeks ago, she hasnt stopped coughing, etc. And cos my boy and gal are always together, when 1 gets ill, the other normally would. And my gal doesnt like the inhaler. The PD wanted to have us loan the inhaler when we went to see her. But b4 tt the nurse tried one dose on her n she screamed like nobody's biz. dunno wat i can do to help also. dun like them to keep taking medicine...

yenny, im going to put the IUD also.. in 2 weeks' time. if not pop another one think my MIL and husband will faint. U using the latest IUD? the Mirema or something like tt one? Think i'll prob use the normal one.
 
brambles, now i still xpressing. however, only 3X a day, with abt 8 hrs of intervals. cos working so very hard to pump more often. iif pump half an hr usually abt 250 to 280ml, but if 45 mins, then prob will get abt 320 to 360ml depends.

after the last post i went to sleep.
The steriod free nasal spray is call Sterimar (Physiological Sea Water Microspray). I saw my PD clinic had it. I think they are promoting this steriod free nasal spray to kid.

Ur girl condition sound a bit complicated. Even thot of let her seeing a chinese sinseh? I heard thomson area have a very popular sinseh for kids.

What kinds of bites? Adults are stronger mah. My girl also insert attractor. She can get bites so easily.

I learn to share my burden with my hubby. haha.
I dun want to act as a strong woman nowsaday. I also let him have a taste of taking care of bb on himself sometime. Last time when i have my girl, he refused to be alone with her. He gave me the excuse that he dun know wat to do. Now shldnt give me that kind of excuse.
 
Hi brambles, I'm trying to be regular in my pumping but have been not so regular. Partly because I still direct latch my baby sometimes. I think I try to do it with 5 hrs interval. My output not as good as misaryeo (I hope I have that kind of output). Even like yesterday whereby I went perming my hair, end up only reach home at 9am - about 7 hours interval didn't pump and output only slightly more than 5hrs interval which is around 180ml (both breast)

my boy ve cough since 3mths aldy... come n go oso cant recover... pd always say common flu virus coz he goes C.C.he dun ve asthma but everytime when he catch a cold/cough...a lot of phlegm.i suspect tat he got ezcema,he keeps on scratching his body.when i touch his hands can feel tat they r cold,dun know is it bcoz of the med(cough med which he ve been taken for so many weeks).last week went to c chinese sinseh...says he is 2 heaty should cut down on biscuit,ask to let him drink goat milk instead of cow milk bcoz of his skin problem...not yet let him try.now he is better..not much phlegm after taking e chinese med.

Hi brambles, I have 2 pumps. One is Avent MAnual which I have been using since day 1 and Ameda which my hubby bought not too long ago. The Ameda is pretty good as it save time - pump milk in half the time. However, I think I have been so used to the manual pump - can walk around, type computer with one hand, change tv channel etc.. I only use the Ameda pump 2 or 3 times only. Ameda is a double pump and both my hands occupied and I have to sit down to pump and lean forward lor - not used to it. So now trying to sell it .. Actually another friend wanted to give me her PIS but same thing I use two times and give back my friend :)p). I think I too used to Avent already and so difficult to switch. Moreover, I thinking of slowly stopping breastfeeding after back to work ... So actually the Avent can already.

Actually to think about it, maybe my supply would be better if I use the double pump more regularly as I read that your body will think that you are feeding twins and will supply more. But since I'm not going to breastfeed for too long, doesn't matter lar.

yeah, i think I'll use the latest one. My gynae told me less side effects and oso if used, won't get menses. But more expensive, think double the cost of the normal one.
