Thanks for sharing. Hubby and I agreed to monitor her for another six more months … if she is still doing well in this aspect, then we will probably send her to the relevant school. But for now, I will just continue with our games. I will be speaking to my contact in NIE who once worked in the local child dev unit to have his take on her developments too. Re: Dry Coughs
Kell has been down with about a week long dry coughs liao! She will cough till really jia lart at nite. Brought her to PD this morning and my heart almost dropped out when I was told that the child sitting besides me is down with HFMD. Ended up, he did not inform the nurses when he registered and after he gets into the room, the two nurses sprung into action disinfecting the places. I am praying very hard that Kell won’t kena manz … the ultimate part is that my gal ya ya papaya, bring one toy to this boy and says ‘share share’ and that boy accepted it. Argh!!

You know, all these while, my goal for Kell was a simple one … just grow up to be a happy and responsible child. Until last week, when I was having lunch with this group of Profs … we had a chat about parenting and when I told them about this goal of mine, they told me that while it is good and healthy to think that way but at the same time, I must realize that the children these days are incredibly clever and intelligent. She will be pitching against this group of children in the primary, secondary and uni days. If I don’t nurture her well, she might ended up feeling an odd one out or an inferior one when she enters that phrase in her life … that conversation has sat me thinking for many nites liao … till now, still thinking! Haha.

what your prof frds said is quite true.. but am worried we are adding too much pressure on the kids. am hoping to move to australia eventually, they nurture kids according to their interest and likings not just studies. i find it healthier. </font>

Prof Shichida and Glen Doman has a principle that all children love to learn and are very eager to learn. It's the parents who are stressed over learning through past experience and then passing the stress to their children. Remember, children have ESP and they can sense what mommy and daddy think. Dunno if you will believe though. I do believe in that, cos I am their fan. kekeke... Everytime, when I am stressed up and frustrated, I will stop teaching anything with A. When he's not happy, I will also not force him

And hor..ytd chelsia with my mum over the nite... mum called tis morning n ask why chelsia sleep so loud one leh... and she insist that its not heatly.. she says normal kids sleep where got so loud one.. IS it true huh??

Received a call from CC again asking me to bring her home as she got running nose. Last thur i fetch her to cc &amp; when i could even get the keys to open my gate,they ask me to go back n fetch her as they say running nose. when i rch there,i didn even see any mucus,just tt her nose is dirty with those dried up mucus n blocked..due to her nose allergy. today again call me back...getting irritated! when i was acompanying her during the 1st week,i see so many kids with running nose oso there. last thur i already told them tt she got nose allergy..just now i tell her teacher over the phone again n she ask me go get a letter from doc tt says it. Arrghhhhhhhhhhh

For the past 2 nights, I could here G "grinding" her teeth...Is it normal?

She is still having flu, since 2 Sundays ago. Hm...wonder if it is caused by that or the medication....

So many of our tods getting phlegmy. My ger too. Hmm...how do you know if its serious? Like need to see doc and get medication sort. Cos I usually only bring my ger see doc when she has a fever that doesn't go away in 24hrs.

My ger's nose running like nobody's biz but cc never send her back leh. Her teacher must be busy wiping her nose everyday and not very gentle too cos somedays she'd come home looking like rudolf! Think they'll only send home if have fever.

Not sure about sheep shearing though, I was there last Aug, and walked arounds farms a lot.

Gym class is really great, her confidence literally exploded! Yesterday we brought her to Pasir Ris park, and I was sooooo impressed with the repertoire of stuff they have at the playground. She was playing stuff that 3-4 yr olds were playing and as usual, zero fear lah!

The best was when we were running on the tracks, she will shout "stop" and suddenly stopped. So I did the same to her, each time she ran and ran, I will shout "stop" and she will freeze there. All learnt from the gym one. And oh boy, she can recite all the objects linked to the 26 alphabets oledi ... hub and I are bowled over.

Next time we go park, we call you lah. And sms me anytime you wanna swing by my place, we go swimming.

G used to have sound in chest when sleeping. PD said got a bit of phlemg and if not careful will become athsma. Gave her Sabutomal every 6 hourly. I had to wake up at night to feed her faithfully. Other than that, she had no fever or running nose...

I'm also not working. Think your childcare's really playing it safe. My ger doesn't sleep in aircon, in fact our whole family doesn't unless weather really really hot. Aircon gives me stuffy nose too. As for vit, So far i've only given cod liver oil. Dun find it helpful too.

ER also started coughing and running nose started last Fri. He barely recovered for 2 weeks 8( Last Fri night, he coughed till he threw out his milk during last feed &amp; the poor boy burst into tears. His appetite went down and he wasn't willing to take milk (think scared will vomit out). Brought him to see doc on Sat morning.

Angeline: ER's temp also went up &amp; down the past few days hovering around 37, max 37.6. The pd said it's ok. Only feed medicine if temp is >37.5. He's been missing his PG for quite a no. of days too.

Joyful: ER has bee grinding his teeth for many many months too. Duno if it's normal ley.

Try Colostrums (bottle of powder) in GNC. My friend recommended me back saying that it is good for immune system. We mix it will a lil water and give her to eat … I brought the bottle from GNC last week. About S$78.00 but haven’t tried yet cos Kell is still on medication.

What did the doctor says? Yea, Kell has been throwing out his nite feeds these few nites and her eyes are teary whenever she coughs. Quite poor thing …. Pray hard that it will go away soon.

my ger was given zaditen at first too but no effect on her at all. According to pd, singulair supposed to be better &amp; more effective. She's been on it for abt 1 plus to 2 mths. Yes, so ex but the pd says if after the singulair cycle, no cough for the next 2 to 3 mths means can stop singulair.

i've frens who swear by it but i c their kids still getting sick pretty often &amp; phlegmy too...i've tried too on N but not much diff so i'm not raving abt it hahha
