unfortunately, i just remember we might need to fetch my MIL from e airport that day.. not sure her flight details (she not sure herself), but i'll try to make it if her flight is at nite..

mom_yam, can i confirm later? and as for food, e only food i know how to prepare is instant noodles, so can i buy some stuff from supermarket, just tell me what's missing, and i'll get it..
 
btw, is there any bb here that belongs to the "high need" bb, just read the Mar07 Mother & bb, realise tt my ger meets every single criteria of a high need bb.. no wonder i feel so lousy as a mother.. thot that i sucks at wat i'm doing (alas!) then realise when some of my friends/ colleagues gave birth that my bb is really different from others? theirs is so well-behaved since birth.. while mine is so so demanding, demand feed every 2 hrs, routine change every day (so not call routine!) want to be carried all e time..and till now still wake up for feed at nite..

any mothers out there in same situation? imagine my bb got to rotate between 2 person.. mother/ MIL cuz 1 day, they dying already.. so need to break alternate day.. Mon/Wed/Fri - MIL.. Tues/Thurs -Mother, weekend n nite time myself.. so i most siong.. work plus nite duty, plus weekend duty.. sob sob!

btw, any bb still wake up for nite feed? i reading e "sleep session" in e M&B, but i dun think i can apply, cuz i let MIL & Mother take care of ger on alternate days, so hard to set a routine, plus her temper is one kind.. so can really fight all e way.. eg. she has not slept since 12pm today.. now, cannot take it, just fall asleep.. knowing her, she'll wake up soon.. and sleep at midnite.. AND STILL WAKE UP FOR NITE FEED.. dying!

So if i make it for e botantical garder trip.. u gals can just spot e darkest panda eyes around.. cuz that will be e week when my MIL goes for 1 week holiday, and i'll be helpless for the whole week..

really hope to make it for e outing.. cuz i've been reading e threads all e while, just always too tired to post, cuz of my princess.. so if i can make it.. i'll sure go! hehe!

my gal still night feed!! Maybe my bm not filling enough. :p she'll drink milk after 4-5 hours of sleep, usu will continue to sleep else she'll roll or flip around (we tend to ignore her) till she tired and sleep.

Decide to bring Ryan there this afternoon since he didn't want to nap in the afternoon..since i need to go n get Gu Ni hoon as well..when i was there..Gosh!! couldn't find the Pet Safari, till i ask the photo shop which is near the used to b Pet Safari Entrance..then i realised it shrank so much.. aiyoh..no fun @ all..Guess gotta go all the way to Mandai liao, thot can take short cut, for Pet Safari instead since it's near my place..Haiz..

my gal oso the same. if she slps at 10pm she'l wake up at 1am tossing and turning... then no choice gotta feed her again else she'l cry and cry... and she'll wake up again say 4 or 5am... sometimes so tired i'l just let her cry till she slps... but aren't they able to slp thru the nite now??? even if she's very tired during the day... i hope she'l slp thru the nite.. but i'm wrong.. *sigh*

Was thinking of Infant care too. But in Punggol only 1 infant care at the HDB estate. The rest need car to acces to them...

So need to find a job then can find a child care that is nearer to the working pl. But the prob is I can't go for interview... If only they allow me to bring bb along. Hee hee.

Talks abt Jab, I also want Riz to take the pneumococcal jab b4 he step into a infant care. I rather play safe.

Sleep Thru the nite

Always keep my finger cross that Riz can sleep thru the nite. But there are times he still wakes up. So we give him H20 to drink and carry him to sleep.

For the outing on 21 April, should be fine but can I confirm when it draws nearer to be on the safe side coz I usually have to teach till 12pm on Sat, so have to make arrangments to either have hubby pick me up with son and go from work (are most mummies' hubbies going?)or get someone to replace me so be free on that sat and bring him there on my own.

As for what to bring, initially thinking of pasta salad but like too much carbo already hor. Let me know if dun mind pasta salad or prefer something lighter. i will rack my brains again.

I'm interested in the Gymboree trial class at parkway. Maybe we can sign up together for the same day but need to look for the papers first.I hope my mum has not used it to wrap up her vegetables. Let me know if you manage to get one copy.

Recently, my boy also wakes up a number of times after I put him to sleep. Worst, I'm also co-sleeping with him in middle of night when he cries for his night feeds.

Wonder when he would really kick off this habit of 2x night feeds

The lady can reserve the Friday, 13th April 4.15pm slot for us.
Weekends very tough to get slot cos usually they're full on weekends.

Pls let me konw ur interest b4 i commit to the lady.

My son also wakes up several times a night, worse when teething. On a good day, he would get up 3 times and want to nurse. These few days dunno what come over him... won't go back to sleep after his last wake up at 4.30am! (sometimes 5.30am). My hubby is now out of the country and dearest mommy here has to work the next day!

RE: Sleeping thru the night

Now is payback time. My girl used to sleep through the night from 2 months till 9 months.. and her sleeping pattern turned haywire after she fell ill with diarrhoea and bronchitis.. she wakes up at least 2x a night.. and she sleeps at 1 to 2 am everyday.. wakes up means die die she wants milk.. she will cry the whole estate down if I leave the room for awhile if she hasnt gotten her milk yet.. and even in her half awake state, she will also scream in excitement if my hubby leaves the bed to change sleeping position with me, thinking that he is going to play with her..

No lah, I didn't find a new PT job, I actually converted from full-time to part-time in same job.

Wah, Amanda still sleeping so late at night? Did you try to change her routine already? Ask your hubby not to play with her during her sleep time. I can't imagine how tiring you are when she only get to sleep so late. If she can go to sleep earlier, at least you can have some quiet time to yourself at night.

Do you know Supernanny is currently showing at Arts Central every Thur 9pm? Although the targetted kids are older, but Supernanny advocate establishing a set of routines and consistency on the kids. One thing is all the caregivers should practice the same set of discipline, otherwise the kid would know who to turn to for misbehaviour

SLEEPIN THRU THE NITE
last nite bb Gab woke up and cried.. but i just left her crying and she did go back to slp aft a few toss and turns and screaming.. until this AM this ard 5 or 6am plus so i gave her milk and she slpt til 8plus AM... think i sud con't nt letting her suck on my breast wen she wakes up in the mid of the nite...

Sleeping Through:
So far my girl sleeping through, hopefully she won't change once i type on this. Cos every time i say something good about her, then she turn bad. That why can't post much about her. (Why so pantang hor!!!!! just curious)

Mummies Outing:
No problem for me as long as falls on weekday.

For mummies & bb outing, hopefully can join u all after October, when i bring my girl to sing. Cross finger my girl will behave in CC.

Alamak! It's a weekday! I try to take half day. Must also check with my hb on his schedule. Can allow both parents to go in?
 
Re: Sleeping Routine

This is what I do for my girl every night. Unless we are out. Timing will sometimes delay 1/2 hr.

8.30pm Starts to clean her then change into pyjamas.
9.00pm Drink milk
9.15pm Goes to the room and play for awhile. Slowly wind down.
9.30pm Off all the lights and close door.

She will doze off at about 9.45pm to 10pm till the next morning 6.30am.

Those that wakes up middle of nite for milk, do you girls give dinner to them? probably is the day time not enough intake or too active that makes them hungry.

kyla, my boy is also a high demand child.. i dont have a march Mother & bb do you mind stating what is the points being a high demand child?

petite, hmm.. i would prefer bb tagging along with me if i go for any outings. Unless the place is not a bb friendly place then i have no choice.

if is weekends i'm fine; weekdays u can count me out unless i can apply leave to meet you gals. U organise la.. then see anyone interested.

I am happy that my son NEEDS (pantang) milk at night. Which with a frd of mine's help i manage to get ride the NEEDS.

But on and off he will wakes up in the middle of the nite not wanting to go back to sleep (playtime). Example like last nite he wakes up middle of nite 3AM and refuse to leave the room with my maid unless i'm ard with him. He is only very sticky when it comes to slp, or when he needs my company which usually at night he would sticks to me. Not sure why also.. but once we are outside he seldom sticks to me when there are things for him to play. But he would wan me to carry him if he sees me in the car or he is in the pram. So if in the car, i have to keep silence ALL THE WAY or unless he slps. if he is in the pram i must be out of sight from him *faint* nowadays if i go supermarket with him, i will have to put him in front of me with the trolley. If not, he will cry and cry and cry pointing at me.
 
Yo mummies not a prob to confirm later stage. Is a causal outing so those who wants to come and with food indicated just do your best not to fly aeroplane. Coz' we can re-arrange the food with the mommies that can come.

Even mommies that decide to come last min, just bring something along will do.

I would really love have to more mommies flooding in, I will bring a floor mat along with me and those mommies afraid hot hot, can let yr child wear hat and a mini fan.

LOTS OF WATER TO BRING ALONG ... coz' there should be expensive if u buy from there. It would be nice to have daddies ard, if those daddies coming along prob can indicate on the nickname so we also can prepare the food accordingly as well.

Petite: if you are not doing bb food, let me know i can do some sandwinches for our darlings.

Hi Rach,

Only saw your post till now on Gmyboree trial. I too called up PP branch. We can join their existing class wed 1030am or Fri 415pm. 4.15pm time is better for Dylan's sleep routine but too bad next fri is holiday and 13 Apr is Dylan's actual birthday. am hoping that my husband can take leave on that day to bring him to zoo or sentosa. So if that fri is good for ou guys, go ahead without me. i will prob sign up for next wed class unless my husband is sure he can't take leave. Of course i will prefer to do class together.

If time is better for you, go ahead and join the 13 April trial. maybe i will end up going too on that day coz my husband quite bogged down with work recently, so might not be able to take leave. 1) can't be put down.. which is why we were perpetually carrying my ger for e 1st 3 mths.. till my MIL hand nerve damaged and got to go operation..

2) separation sensitive.. only wants me n MIL and no one else..
3) demanding.. when my ger wants attention, she DEMANDS INSTANT GRATIFICATION, or she'll let u know abt it LOUDLY..
4) frequent feeder.. my ger feeds every 2 hrs since birth.. and each time feed for an hr..
5) intense - everything e bb does is pronounced.. cries LOUDLY, feeds VORACIOUSLY, laughs with enormous gusto and protest powerfully..
6) sleep differently - this we all know.. difficult to fall asleep, awaken frequently
7) slow to wean
8) unpredictable - wat works to comfort e bb today will most likely not work tomorrow.. HOW TRUE!

And i bot my ger to the JWT gym in UE square.. quite fun, but think she a bit too young to know how to play all e stuff..

how much are the wipes? are they thick or thin?? i got NUK baby wipes at the bb fair at suntec... i thot they are good cos they are thick.. good for cleaning poo poo... i used to get pigeon wipes in the box ($18 plus)
