My gal is now 7.75kg at 6 mths...
Time flies..she's now so big.
Wonder if u gals having the problem with bb pee less? My gal now like only wet 4-5 diapers a day. She takes water but not very much..how to make her drink more without getting a sweet tooth?
Huniepot, ur gal eat 5 scoops of cereal! What scoop do u use?
My gal also eat cereal but somehow it doesn't extend the time for her next feed. What is wrong? I feed her too little solids?

Tell u a joke, ytd my nephew commented that my boi is greedy. Say my boi see food he is very happy coz' can eat and eat.. but He (My nephew) see food and he feels unhappy coz' he HAVE to eat and eat.

Your stamina very good sia.. can watch until so late.. maybe i put my words across wrongly, i don't really mean i neglect him. Usually I watch while he is sleeping but I feel guilty because those times can be put to better use to do something for him eg. preparing flash cards, make food puree, wash his clothes etc..

Haha, ya lor my hb also say he very pei fu me. I can watch till 3am, wake up at 8.30am take care of Isaac till 9 pm plus which by then my boi already snoring away. And I still can carry on my serial show. Hahaa yesterday he only watch 2 series and then he went to snore.
Oh stuffs har.. me very lucky and blessed with maid at this point of moment so most of the cleaning work is done by her. As for flash card, I did not do for him.. I bought those nice pictures with educational purpose and paste all over the wall. So I just carry him there and sit with him edu him while playing. But on the hand I didnt want to pressure him into knowing stuffs and let him grow healthy bb with his own wisdom. As for other stuffs, purree.. Umm.. I prefer fresh food.. so if I would to prepare, I would prepare fresh if not, no purree.. or from bottle purree. Lazy mommy hahahahaha

Update ... XT turned so fast today that she dropped off frm my sis's bed. Thank goodness, she didn't cry till my dad carried her. Hmmm.. okay, she is trying to catch my dad's attention that she has fallen off.
She was turning quite okay yesterday. All starting left side. To her tummy then again to her back.. then to tummy then to back... Warned my mom yesterday nite.. but didn't expect she turned so fast today. My mom still watched her from kitchen every few minutes le.

I give my bb mostly HT cereal or bottled puree.. he really like the puree ley..wish i know how to cook.. i gonna start porridge this weekend, what can i add inside the porridge huh?
For the HT cereal, my auntie always mix it in his milk which i think is no good lor cos now if don't put cereal he don't want to finish his milk..haiz..
For the flashcards, not pressurising bb to learn but pressurising myself to give my best to him lor.. whether he absorb or not is not really my priority but rather whether i put in the effort in the first place. Then i don't feel so guilty.

did anyone read the book How to Teach your Baby Maths by Janet Doman? I am reading it and its really "dry". My baby was quite interested in the book cos he took a bite of it and crumpled the cover..hahaha.. hopefully NLB won't come after me..

took leo to see pd again just now, we were given some other med and will have to monitor lor. he lost 0.5kg in less than a week! >o<
after a nice nap and some rice cereal, leo is happy again! he happily playing in his exersaucer and laughing at our silly antics so relieved
(haven't opened the HT cereal yet cos think i'll finish the heinz one i bought last time when the HT delivery was delayed)

fussiecat, i would advice u to thk twice before investing the bumbo. due to leo size.. i also wanted to get but due to the isaac fat thigh so give it up. u can consider renting one instead.

ya lor, juz started giving R porridge for dinner again. Actually had tried for a week when she was 4+ mths. But too bad she was not keen at all. Now she regains her interests. Able to finish 1/3 of our normal rice bowl. I has been giving her spinach + cod fish porridge.

I think the same way as you leh... I have 4 sets of flash cards but I hardly flash the cards to Amanda. Cos in a way, Im kinda considered working part-time but putting in full time hours.. feeling very guilty too.. whenever my parents are ay my place.. they will be the ones playing with her, while I go to her when she wants to drink milk.. while im sitting in front of the computer most of the time... and when my hubby comes home.. he will be the one to play with her while im sitting in front of the computer or relaxing at 1 corner... feel that im a lousy mum too.. yah.. im also thinking that i shld put in more efforts into her..... guilty guilty.. scared that she wont like me when she grows older..
BTW, have you gotten Mr Gu to teach you on the flash cards yet? Did he bring this other person along to ur place when he delivered the cards? I was super pissed off when he dropped by my place uninvited during my dinner time and brought this other person along without consulting me ( trying to promote their positive thinking class or something like tat), and still told my hubby then he had pre-arranged with me somemore, and that he was doing delivery when he was not... so I havent been asking him to come over to my place liao... dont feel comfortable with him anymore

Sorry girls, no more sushi for you because my boy is getting very sick. He got a very very bad cough, coughing like an old man, vomited very badly last night, today got himself a slight fever. Went to PD today and she said he got a virue in him. We suspect the fever was due to teething. His second tooth was out.

i don't think there's an 'ideal weight for 6mths', it's really up to individual babies. you can track your bb's growth using the growth chart at the back of the medical booklet. you can use it to monitor her growth rate to ensure she's not suddenly gaining too much weight or she's not gaining weight etc...

and since he is so sensative with my presence when he slps, i hardly pat him to slp nowadays. coz' me = comfort.
I always tell myself i cannot be so lazy.. but after a briany day.. i seriously cant make myself play with him much esp he is so active i cant really keep up.
Guess we mamas.. cannot feel guilty anymore!! we should hug them and pledge we will try to play with u as much. we will try to play with u la.. hahahaa

Hubby said i like to surf net so much, should start my own online biz, but then there are so many SAHMs who are selling clothes, i am wondering what else i can market.

One malay guy (an ex-nurse) who is also promoting about water purifier and a lady who wanted to learn about the cards too. This time, he left exactly 1 hr after teaching cos he said he only "lecture" 1 hr. I didn't contact him after he left.

It seems most bbs hv the same behaviour. recently my boy also likes to be carry and when i put him on mat or cot, he will cry and cry but i keep trying to put him down.

my boy is not finishing his milk too. i think it's becos he's sick and uncomfortable. he's taking only 120-150ml from his usual 180ml. he got 2 bottom teeth and i can see one top tooth coming out soon... anyone brush bb's teeth already?

Fussiecat, yes i have start brushing since he is abt 3 mths. PD adivce me to do that so his gums will be healthy. and it will create a good habit for bbs to like brushing teeth.
She also mentioned that seeing a dentist is very expensive so must take gd care of bb teeths. each time after a milk drink let them drink some water to rise off the milk in their mouth.
I face the same prob as u.. he insist me walk here walk there.. coz' my pil spoiled him. that's why i put him in walker with wheels alr.. let he himself ownself walk
