Uniqueone,
I'm sorry if you're hurt by the list of weight. If mommies do not feel comfortable to share such particulars, you don't have to. Not all mommies will update their baby's weight here for me to compile. I'm sure those who do, do it willingly and with pleasure to share the development of their little ones.
I feel that people's remarks on your child are just a passing statement when they try to strike up a conversation and quite harmless, even if the person is rather tactless. You can't blame pple for passing such remarks 'cos we hold perception. When the PD guage the growth of the baby, he/she also gently refers to the statistics weight and height percentile, but may be considerate enough not to say those hurtful words such as "skinny" or "fat".
Don't put these remarks to heart. The size (height and weight)of our little one depends on genes as well as eating habits. Like you say, as long J is eating well and growing healthy, you know it!
So, is our baby's weight/height for competition? NO!!! When I summarise the heaviest baby / lightest baby, it wasn't an intention to create competition, superiority / inferiority. I'm sorry if I've offended....esp. Daphne, Leereiner, Tracy, 1sttimemum.
It's fine with me to do away with this list, hehehe...with thanks, saves my time
