I'm actually quite eager to introduce solid to her. But since pd said so then I wait lor. As for breastfeeding, I will try to continue as long as I can. Can't believe that I have breastfed her for 5mth already. Although I supplement 1 or 2 feed a day, I think it is quite an achievement.

. time really flies, i remember marvelling at my friends who told me that they breastfed for 6mths - 1yr, and now i'm almost there too!!

solids - i totally understand your eagerness!! i actually told myself that i should wait till K is 6mths to start solids but i was too excited after visiting the supermarket and reading abt all the other mommies' feeding stories. but if yr PD has advised you to wait, it's prob better to listen to him/her.

I think a main reason why your PD asks you to start solids after 6 months is cos your gal is of smaller size, better for them to get full nutrition from milk.

Feeling disappointed about the cloth book, so went to view Gymboree and Old Navy websites. Got sales going on ... very tempting! Gymboree's clothes are so sweet - i mean for girls lah....din see the boys'.

Hi Jumbo,

The other time, you mentioned that Mustela prodts can be found in Singapore and you are using one of their moisturiser for Nix, so I thought I'd ask you... do you know if these 2 are sold in Singapore, and how much are they approximately?

Drugstore.com are selling them for US$13 (for the cleanser) and $17 (moisturiser), and I thought they are abit steep... are they cheaper in Singapore? would you know? Thanks!

Koalarie, in honest is very hard to explain to you..coz' every mama got different view haha. okay put it short, Gymboree has good equipments and things for children.

BUT i personally find the instructor standard is pretty sub-standard. so i didnt really like the class. Apart, i find the class like very short and by the time it really warm up for the little ones, the class has end.

In terms of teacher, i'll prefer bNc. In terms of equipments, i prefer Gymboree.

I agree with mom yam. when i went in, i was quite impressed by the facilities. but the instructor wasn't very engaging, gave me the impression that she was a trainee or something. Maybe the BNC teacher too good, so now my standard very high. For the kind of activities that we experienced ytdy, i felt that the classroom space was too small and the class time was too short.

my bb still slp lei..hahaha but then he was so excited the whole day coz' he can go kai kai with mummy.. so he didnt slp from morn. in the end he slp during the class. hahahaha silly boy.

Rach, i really appreciate the effort. at least i get to see how the place work. i thk we can try tanglin one instead of serangoon garden. Both of my good frds little ones are base in Tanglin and they are happy with the service.

i am thinking of going down to try a class at tanglin mall tomorrow but that all depends whether i'm sleepy or not!! for the past 2 nights, K has woken up 2-3 times because she flips and gets startled, then last night at 5am when she woke up she wanted to play!! poor sleepy mommy

My girl have just master the art of flipping on Sat. She has been flipping the whole of yesterday. Refuse to sleep until 2am. 1st thing this morning when she woke up is flip. Haiz.... I so sleepy!!!

btw, Keith is teething liao....last night he keep biting my nipple while I nurse him...then I saw his little tooth is coming out leh....

The villa is the one next to Nirwana Resort right. My friend suggested there oso ...how much u pay huh and how many nights u going. 3D2N? yesterday saw in papers that cruise oso having promotion..so tempted to go but need to apply 3 days leave if I'm going. so still considering.

me have not told my PIL or my mum about this short holiday...but I oso dont care lah. I want to bring him go where is my business right...dont have to get approval from them.

Keith is very very sentitive to new environment and new voices. shan nao jin leh...but u bring him go kai kai...he very very happy. he very huay kar!
 
any baby out there sleep so much that u became worried huh....Keith is really a good sleeper leh. 1 day he sleeps about 15 to 16 hrs a day...too much or not huh...

15-16hrs sounds ok i think, i wish K would sleep more!! at the moment, she isn't sleeping thru the night anymore cos of the flipping problem i mentioned and in the day, she takes v short naps (15-30mins each) only.
 
YY sleeps around 10.30pm for 12hours (with 2 feeding breaks) and in the day, she hardly sleep at all in the day. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to make her take 2 naps of 15-20mins from the time she wakes up to the time she ZZZZ for the day.

That's is the average hours of sleep for babies around this age. But each baby is different. Some need more sleep and some less.

My boy sleeps around 14-15 hours a day, with around 3 naps totally 4 hours, and night sleep around 11 hours. He sleeps at 7.30pm... which is very early according to Singapore standards, but it's a norm in the US

And it's only after he sleeps that I get to cook and have time with my hubby!

i won't be going tomorrow. rang them up and spoke to someone briefly, the 1130 class i want to go for tm mainly has bbs from 8 - 13mths, so i'd rather attend a session with bbs of a similar age. the lady on the phone told me they are trying to start a class for younger bbs on tues 1030am in the next few wks, so if anyone's interested pls let me know. you can drop in at anyone of their ongoing classes for a trial at $25. their 'village' programme is suitable for NB-18mths according to the website. kindermusik programmes are available at many other childcare centres and nursery schools, check their website for convenient locations.

Heehee...I find it cute coz of the tree lor. Somemore can double up as a shade. Jayden was trying to squeeze himself under the tree for shade as it was a hot day!
