Mel, you will have to carry on BF while intro solid to him. Solid at this stage he will only intake 10% of what u actually prepare for him. but u can still bf him all the way even till one year old if u still want. my colleague actually BF her son till 2 year old.

Hmm.. till now he is still at the stage dont want to drink coz' he simply not hungry. and making the situation worst he has "certain" position to feed him. Hiaz!

sleep lesser - no lei, mine slp a lot during night time. but he would prefer to be nurse till slp rather than bottle. usually now he will slp from 7.30 pm till abt 10 plus then i will nurse him till he slp. which will be 6.30am.

What i would suggest u is dont play with him at 9pm. ... try to pat him to slp which will take a much longer time for his habit to adjust again.
 


Tiffany, yes - i'm only BF during night time coz' my supply super duper low hee hee.. but since Isaac dont want to drink fomula before he slp then he will drink my milk lor.

Weaning, i've start when Issac is about 17 weeks with FrisoCream that was once a week. Then i slowly switch to EYS Brown rice add in Friso milk powder which now we feed him everyday.

Starting he dont kw how to "eat" coz' from birth till now using sucking method.. now at least he will sit there and open his mouth when we feed him. Actually is good, so that he wont be picky in food in future. I feed him also with Hienz organic bottle puree one week 2 bottles.

NO PAO SHENG... I've ask the EYS sales lady she say bb now too young.. best wait till they are about 7 mths onwards. So wait lor..

Lucas was on partial FM and BM in his earlier mths. he started on Friso, then changed to Enfa. He had terrible face rash while on Enfa, so i switched to Similac and he is ok. not too sure is urs due to FM?? wat FM u give her?

I noticed tat Lucas also sleeps lesser and drink lesser too... cant finish 150ml tat i prepared for him.

Lucas also has certain pattern/habit when he drinks. No one is allowed to talk when he is drinking, he gets fustrated.(be it bottle or latch on)Damn "Pa Dao". MIL said.."nvr seen such a bb b4"

I tried pao sheng on my ger before she went for her 3rd mth injection. She developed slight cough and phlegm after tat. So it is confirmed pao sheng is no no to her for the time being. Luckily the cough and phlegm go off fast on its own. After tat we fed her barley water and it was ok.

Mummies,

My ger's neck was very red yesterday because of milk leaking down and we couldn't clean properly at times because she has so much baby fats there. Anything i can apply on it to heal?

Tried hazeline. Works ok but wonder whether there is something else we can apply to hasten the healing process.

By the way, taka bb fair until when? What nice clothes are there? i am crazy over clothes for my ger too! Heehee..

taka fair until 27 aug. saw a lot of cheap clothing there.

I went there at 11am yesterday. There was almost nobody there and me and my friend had a great time. Go very early if u can to avoid the crowd.

Race C n mommies /w bbs /w eczema
Xuanting too was having tat sometime back on her face.

PD gave some steriod as well. It cleared. PD did inform us tat sometimes bb skin re quite delicate n get dried easily especially if in aircon. So she told us to try applying moisturing cream/ moisturing oil. Muz look 4 those fragnace free n some other things such tat it's bb safe. We got from her clinic a sample of the cream n ve been applying on n off during massaging her after her bath.

At times rashes does still break up on her face.. so we applied warm towel on her face. Not covering her nose though. After a while, the rashes died down.

Not sure... these are things that I've been doing. See if it works. Different bbs may vary. = p

BB crying at nite
Of late, Xuanting has been crying at night during her sleep.

Since Day 2 of Ghost Festival month. 've brought her to pray pray... but still like tat... I am "touching wood" that not becoz of tat.

I got to pick her up and carry her for quite awhile n then gave her water to drink before she went back to sleep.

Otherwise, she's relatively a happy bb in the daytime.
 
I am not sure leh coz i did not bring bb along... heehee!!! I went taka in the moring and bought lotsa of stuff too and after that go home than to Parkway... spend until pocket got hole liao

Heard about the ezcema too, please dun allow ur child to scratch as it will further roughen the skin and cause it to dry up, crack and bleed.

If ur child has dry skin, for ezcema, please use moisturizer diligently as it really help. I did use hazeline but it dry up my boy skins

I use Physiogel cream. It is good but exp. And after wiping it with water after feeding, aso need to apply moisturizer to retain the moist on the bb skin.

My gal recently develop cradle cap all over the scalp. Keep pulling hair n stretching face. wonder y so late then develop. How?

my boy oso sama, when feeding, must be total silent, once he hear some noise nia he will tilt his head up n look ard n refused to drink his milk liao...buay tahan..super kpo!
 
can't remember who was interested in the Evenflo exersauser but it's now at Taka fair this weekend at $199. See today's papers.

kk, can try calamine lotion at the neck. It's soothing for heat rashes and insect stings. I've applied to mozzie bites and the swell is down in 24hr. my gal's neck also got fatty layers, machiam no neck like that.

Maybe you can try Sebamed cradle cap shampoo or California Baby - Tea Tree and Lavender which is quite good for my boy. What i did is after washing his hair, i will wipe it dry and apply olive oil and after 1 week, its gone. You can try but i cannot assure you confirm can lah...

My bb also have the same problem when drinking milk, i cannot do other things while feeding him, must fully concentrate on him or else he will not drink at all.

As for moisturizer, i used california baby product and so far bb skin is quite good..... I am not trying to promote C.B but just feel that they are quite good and really never regret buying them thou they are abit ex.

Maybe you can try to feed bb using spoon and see if bb want to drink anot... That's what my PD teach me.

my boy got no rash behind his ears leh, i guess he's just scratching to show frustration cos he always does that when he starts to fuss.

my boy also like to suck his fingers then spread his saliva all over his face. we have to keep wiping his chin , around mouth area and his hands. so boh pian, we accept that the rash will come and go, but we diligently apply hazeline snow so that it won't be so bad. actually i see that his condition is improving. the rashes are not as bad as when he was 2mths old.

re Drinking less milk
Yes, i notice he's drinking less too, can stretch abt 4-5 hrs instead of 3 hrs. My hubby wants to increase the qty cos he scared bb not getting enough nutrition, but i'm hesitant cos bb's not demanding more milk at all. Think will wait to hear from pd. i oso plan to TBF till 6mths, if can go beyond, i will continue.

I noticed my bb drinking more quantity but at a longer interval these days..he has been drinking abt 170ml at a 4-5hrly interval..not too sure abt his weight now though but will b bringing him for his 4mth injection next wk

Ivec will b gg for his 1st haircut.in fact now..sighh..pity i'm working & couldn't c it 'live' but luckily, hub will b videoing this down..wonder why must b during 4th mth then can cut hair hor..
 
please update. Keziah is 6.3kg 64cm long at 4 mths.
Hiaz wonder y she is still so light when drinking 160ml at intervals of 2.5-3h. Stressing my ms esp when I am now working n freezer is on super low near zero stock.

Isaac magic stomach has last from 6.30 am till 1 pm. when he starts to be hungry we made the usual 3 oz milk for him but he only drink down 2 oz or 1.5oz.

when it reach to 4 pm, he will drink 3 oz down.. but during that time is super hard to catch his feeding timing. Always very different timing, sometime he will be good boy and drink at times no means no.

I've tried the spoon bottle from piegon too.. but mission failed.

Nope i didnt take fenugreek coz' i'm not eating very healthy either sooo... didnt want to give him the best milk.

As for teething, u can start to buy teething toys for him. & i also bought dentinox for Isaac and it seems to cool him down.

Or you can consider EYS - Bo Ying Compound. For that, i've applied half a bottle in the morn, say about 3 pm onwards i will rub dentinox on him gums.... that seems to help him less unhappy.

Incidentally, did u get the sling that u ask the other time?
 
Re: Rashes at neck
KK, my bb had this problem sometime at 2months cause he is fat *hee *hee. We had to make a conscientious effort to make sure his milk does not get trapped around his neck when he drinks. Also, we applied aloe vera daily and keep the area dry. After some time, the rashes went off. Even now, we still check his neck daily and whenever he drinks milk, we make sure it does not leak down to his neck.

Re: Crying @ Night
Koalarie, my bb also cried last nite, abt 10mins. Scary! He was sound asleep, then suddenly juz cried. My HB and I took turns to carry him, rock him, sayang him. Juz wouldn't stop. Tried to wake him up but refused. In the end, i managed to pacify him with milk. He ended sleeping with us on the bed. Told my mum this morning, she said bb probably having nightmare. Part of growing up! But muz carry him if he cries, assure him. This morning, back 2 normal liao.

really dunno is he teething or not as he only grouchy when it comes to nursing. must have a certain position and keeps latching on and off. yes he has teething toy but he not very keen. other than that he happily cooing and playing. aiyah...just have to accept that he is going thru a phase and tell myself to relax.

wah i didnt know EYS have so many things...i tot only have chinese herbs for old ppl.

havent got the sling...too bz to go down to shop and it is not avail online.

My left wrist is still very bad, in fact every morning is the worst... can feel that my bone is out of space and weak even to carry baby.. I am thinking to get refer letter to see x-ray coz i heard some mummy have to do operation on this problem. I am kind of scare.

Can anyone tell me how to descale my sterilizer with white vinegar??? Thanks.
 
1st time mum,
If you are using Pigeon Steriliser, Descaling: Pour 60ml white vinegar mixed with 60ml water into sterliser (remove the bottle holder/tray). Turn on sterliser for one complete cycle. wait for sterliser to cool down and then complete another cycle using only water.

Similar method could be used for other brands of steriliser too. Maybe the amount of liquid is not the same, just mix 50% vinegar with 50% water.

I from the June thread...my bb oso has rashes on the cheek..it seems abit hard n red n got dry skin peeling..so headache..dun koe how to make it gone.just went to the PD for his neck heat-rash 1 week ago n now the face got this rashes thingy..wonder can use the same cream anot..

1sttimemum//daphne--- where u get the aloe vera/california product har? i got ppl telling me to use the desitin nappy rashcream on the face as it containes aloevera..but hor my bb always rub the face n put the mittens into her mouth..

I bought from Market Place Bulk Purchase.. I dun think its safe to put desitin cream on the face if bb can rub and eat... maybe you can buy aloe vera and apply on it. Heard from some mummy its really good but i have not try so cannot commend.

Mel, haha ya is just a phase, that's where he will lose a little bit of his fats that he gains since birth. Sometimes is also teething that's why he dont want to be nurse. Isaac has once due to nose block, once due to the no milk phase, once due to teething. U can just observe see whether his gums are gaving any white substance and whether his silver runs like tap also he rubs his gums very hard. these are some signs that is is at the teething stage.

Just make sure he still poo poo daily and wee wee same as before then u r very safe.

Reanne weighs 7.6kgs n 64cm at 4th mth. Dr Koh mentioned she is big sized.:p Her poor Mommy, being so petite, has got to carry this ah pui.
