Hi to all,
At how many months can bb sit on a walker? My girl is 4 months old and her legs are so strong. Can feel the pain when she kicks me, usually when i let her sit on my lap she struggle and wanna stand up.
So hubby and i were contemplating whether to get her a walker..

i was at taka bb fair yesterday (yes, i couldn't wait till the weekend) Managed to get lots of clothes n other bb supplies! so shiok! love shopping for Leo!! also bot the avent disposable milk bags n accompanying feeding system. tried expressing n storing into the milk bags aledy, quite messy cos i not used to it yet... one of the bags was leaking!! sickening!! lost some precious BM!

I pay $10 for the rental fee for 1 wk. Then i will also need to pay the deposit. The deposit is the price of the carrier so it depends which model u choose fm the website. I choose the normal one so in total i pay $168 inclusive of the $10 rental fees.
If she is giving u a new piece to try (HSe run out of her 2nd hand pcs), u may just keep the carrier if u decided to purchase and no deposit will be refunded. Otherwise u just return her the carrier and get back yr deposit.

i realise a lot of the older generation (including my mom) always insist that babies are cold, i guess it really depends on yr baby. older aunties are always stopping me to ask why she's not wearing hat and booties when i go out. i stopped putting socks/booties on K at abt 1.5-2mths. nowadays i just bring along a light blanket wherever i go so i can cover her if the aircon is v strong. books always say you should dress your baby the same way you would dress, i think this is particularly relevant for our weather, why should the baby be all bundled up when i myself am wearing slippers and tank top??

I need some advice. I have a 2-month old baby. He spends most of his time sleeping. He wakes up at about 6 am for the morning feed. Then he goes to sleep for onr or two hours. After that, I would feed and shower him. At about 10 am, he's sleepy again. He would wake up two hours later for a feed then falling asleep again. I have to wake him up at about 4 pm because I don't want to disrupt his bedtime which is usually between 6 to 7 pm. Is it normal?

Tiffany, Isaac cries everytime he wants to slp.. so is normal i guess. I guess like what Jade says crying makes them sleep better.
sometimes i feel is Isaac dont want to slp but he has no choice coz' tired hahaha!!! so he will whine until he has no choice but slp. but nowadays i can est his timing so i will try to pat him and sing to him till he slp but still he will still cry for awhile.

Oh...ur darlings also so manja... I feel so tired lei, always have to rock and pacify him until he sleeps. not too sure how ur baby cry? mild or fierce? L very fierce, sometimes i wonder isit he feeling discomfort or wat? btw... does ur bb sleep thru after the cry? Thank god L does after tat. now 4mths liao, can start to relax abit, hb talk abt 2nd child liao... *faint*

Or maybe you can observe what helps your bb sleep better.
My girl likes to play with her hankerchief, so sometimes in order to end her crying, i'll give her the hanky and she'll snuggle her face into the hanky, hold it close to her face and very soon she sleep.

Tiffany, my bb is fierce!!! esp if he dont get the rock feeling he wants. my advice take turn lor, or esle u will go crazy. For my case, is me and my maid take turn coz' my hb only kws how to play but dunno how to pacify him haha!

Dont worry he is not discomfort, just that Lucas is use to the rock and pacify he gets it every night so he just want it to be in his way. My frd was teaching me just let him cry and when he gets tired he will slp. But for me, i feel pitch and heartache when he does that esp tears flowing so i will choose to rock & sing song to him.

sama sama, hb only knows how to play with him, duno how to pacify la. getting my "New" maid in this weekend, keep my fingers crossed again. Hopefully not a prob child again. L's temper so hot, dun think i can let the maid handle him lei... scare the maid cant take it, throw L on the floor. have to observe her for some time 1st.
Ya, last nite, duno wat he wants.. put him on my bed and 'complaint' to him.. "mummy very tired lei, wat do u want? blah blah blah... he eventually stopped crying. after awhile, he knocked out totally.. think he too tired fm the cry liao. In the day.. he dun sleep much, just 15-30mins, wake up liao... perhaps, over-exert and tired.

L used to have rash on his face too, after applying Steroid cream, prescribed by PD, no more liao... understand tat rash can be due to heat or milk rash. Is she on FM or BM?

my Leo also got rash on face. it's a very common problem, comes and goes till one yr old. on my grandma's advice, i use hazeline snow. it works! just slather on bb's face after bath and before bed
my pd wanted to prescribe steroid cream but told me to continue with hazeline snow after i told her i'm using that. cheap and good!

Tiffany, ya the other method we use on him is that day time dont let him slp so much, keep playing with him. when it reach 7 pm he will cry for awhile then he will knock out till abt 11 pm drink milk and slp till 6.30am. but then i realise my bb is a day time bb, morn he will be very cheerful and play. Night time he will cry and slp. Grrgghhh

of late, Ryan also has this habit of crying b4 he sleep leh.. then sometimes he'll blah blah (complaint) for very long.. machiam a long winded old woman then he fall to sleep.. aiyoh..like dat how to bring him out..so pai sey to create a fuss outside..then i gotta stuck @ home liao lor.. sianz sianz

I'm Race(fr May 's thread), my boy had rashes on his face. Initially very bad, aft applying cream (fr PD)it bcomes better,however,rashes on & off all the time,his face bcome very rough. His always use hand to rub his face (i think it's bcoz of rashes itchyness)
Really hav no idea to help him...

Yep. L also day time boy. Morning, veryvery gd mood, will smile & smile to me when he opens his eyes. nite lei...cry & cry to sleep. he can one moment cry until like he is in great pain, once he stop, its like nothing has happened... always tell hb, L "xiao" one!

my pd was going to prescribe the steroid cream (actually 1% steroid only, but still!) but she told me to go ahead with hazeline snow since it is working. i'm not confortable with putting on steroid cream on my boy's face. he rubs his face occasionally only, so i reckon it's not itchy. sometimes he scratches his ears too, like a puppy! but no rashes around the ears... so i concluded he's just scratching for the sake of scratching!

i went crazy over the cheap clothes. cos my boy's outgrowing his clothes so fast, i'm running out of those every day clothes for him to wear.

My hubby is very good, he will carry him, rock him for a while , put him in the cot while he's still whimpering, then pat him, sayang him, whisper to him, then Leo will just coo for a while and fall asleep himself. My hubby told me we must train Leo to soothe himself to sleep.

Yes.. the rash Lucas had was eczema. recently, his neck also has some reddish rash, i believe its heat rash.. i just apply anti-septic cream, and its cleared by next day.

mom_yam - yes he is 4 mths liao but i intend to TBF for 6 mths coz he has so many allegies leh....i afraid intro solid will affect his intake of BM and thus reduce the antibodies.
how long did Issac stay in such a phase? did he also seem to sleep lesser? last time J will have last feed at 9 and KO b4 10pm but now he refuse to nurse at 9 and eyes big big till 10pm....but mummy going to KO liao.
how long did Issac stay in such a phase? did he also seem to sleep lesser? last time J will have last feed at 9 and KO b4 10pm but now he refuse to nurse at 9 and eyes big big till 10pm....but mummy going to KO liao.

are u still BFding? wat is the reason u intro solid so early? checked with PD, she recommend to intro at 5+mths lei...however, my mum told me not to start too late either, if not, will be difficult to wean off. Will need ur advise when i start to intro solid. i also supporter of EuYangSang product. btw... u add pao sheng to the brown rice?

fussiecat, we use hazeline snow also. but it still come and go.
we wipe her face very frequently also. cos scare it's milk rash. but she likes to put her hands in her mouth then the saliva will be on her face.

Went to taka bb fair yesterday, so many toys I feel like buying for KJ. I might go there again for a second time.
KJ also lost a bit of interest in his milk. But I thought this was due to distraction in the surrounding. I could hardly feed him in taka nursing room because they got very pretty wall paper there. However, he will drink his milk in compasspoint nursing room because the wall are painted all white with nothing on it.
