i can only go on weekends too. Just called up GUG - their weekend classes are already fully booked so can't take in trialers unless on weekday leh.... sigh.

Ethel - JG stands for Julia Gabriel. Sadly, they do not offer trials .... they have a waitlist too. can download regn form online and fax details to them to be put on the waitlist. gotta wait at least 3 to 6 months!

yaya.. cindy and ger really alike!! i start to laugh when i read this sentence of yrs.. "the happiest time for her is when they play "i love you" song and kiss goodbye to each other..." cos ger is the same too!!!! actually is ger likes the singing part.. at zoophonics, she also brighten up when the teacher sings.. so my mum ask the teacher "can u bring forward the singing part to the start of the lesson instead of having it at the end of the lesson?"

actually is not the freedom to move abt that ger likes.. is more cos ger only feels comfy and interacts with chinese teachers.. and as what yuru said, most teachers at GUG are malay/caucasian.. ger dont feel so comfy lor..

Rae clamps up in class still after all these terms.... hardly a beep from her...
yet she loves going to her gug class and she will tell me what she learns that day.. strange kiddo.

weekday has mandarin session n teabreak. weekend i tik only certain am slots have them (not too sure though).
sometimes the arts/craft session are conducted in mandarin too!
they learn good table manners, good habits, basic courtesy during teabreak. snacks n drinks will be served during teabreak. they are to ask/decline politely. keep the plates/cups etc in the proper bin after that etc... so cute

i follow a certain teacher..we like her the most. shes good and firm with the kids and caregivers too:p
(rae was 'punished' recently cos she was roaming as usual n not paying attention.. her punishment? sit on the teacher's lap while she teaches. haha.. rae was the most attentive student for that short time.)

JG just called me. Got to pay S$25.25 to be put on waitlist! They say it's company policy. I am not prepared to pay them just to be on the waitlist.

I'm not particularly keen on GUG because of the location, but lach and yuru have been raving about it so much that i'm convinced!

How early / late can you place your booking?
Mine is 1 month advance booking, and the kiasu aunties usually start queuing at 7am for the popular dates eg christmas, new year etc!

i suggest sentosa..
i jus went there with my hubby n 2 boys,. its really hassle free.. for those who drive, jus drive in, park at the new undergrd carpark, its connected to most part of the island via bus or tram. there is a nice spot with those water fountain shooting out from the grd.. the kids can go get themselves wet there.. toilet facilities nearby..(enrance fee $2per adult n car)

at Macdonalds, kallang..
i can see if can chop one whole area then all the kids n play.. we can hv a huge bd cake with so many candles on it so all our kids can blow out their own candles..

-earlier dec better, not too near xmas.
-only if the date doesn't clash with a dec bb personal bday celebration. ( we want as many to be there rite?)
-personally, i prefer the kids to be 'caged up' so that we mums can talk/eat with peace of mind.
-whats the budget per pax? so that we can narrow down venues?
-if at a kind mummy's condo function rm. we need a clean up crew (aka our better halves n domestic helpers) else not fair to the mummy.
-entertainment? balls, balloons, bubbles will suffice! or we just get some washable markers n doodle on their faces! some kids are weary of mascots/clowns.

the first caged up place i can think of is the IKEA ball area.. they will all be caged up n number tagged..PLUS theres someone there to supervise when they play ball.. hahha
but we dun hv a place to sit n watch them climb..
how abt downtown east? i heard there is a ball area.. hv anyone seen the place?

yup. 2 small ball pits for tods n older kids.
the climbing/sliding dunno-wat-u-call-it mega thingy is fun but meant more for older kids. unless u want to climb in after them.
 
i am so excited over the party..
i can do the little goody bags (cost capped below $5)
and i can also order a huge Numeric 2 for all our kids..
lets do finger food.. like little cup jelly, tiny muffins, tiny etcs...
i will check with Legoland if they can give a gd rate for us to hold a party.. they hv all the jumbo blocks n a huge room so we can supervise our kids while we chat..
face painting will be fun..
