<font color="ff0000">Lantern</font>
My relatives hates me!
I suspect they want to drown me in super cheena ahbeng/ahlian hokkien kwa (music) and bright flashing lights.
one bought rae about 5 different lanterns, all with blinding lights and loud high pitch disco/hokkien music.
another bought rae a cheena lantern, with a Humongous lotus flower sitting right on top and when switch on, part of the lantern will rotate with flashing lights, flashing pictures of a 'serene lotus pond'. wah piang..the well-meaning relative insisted on buying for rae, and i insisted ""no thank you, she already has lanterns.....dont waste $$""
i lose the tug of war..cant argue with a wise senior relative. she meant well..so must respect..
-hb nearly bought another Barney lantern for rae last night but in the nick of time, was caught red-handed by me.... heng...
Ok..
-i managed to burst one of the inflatable lanterns (cos pump too hard in my ''enthusiasm'')
-inflate one Hello Kitty lantern for rae, who show zero interest ($#%^&*)
-as the lights in the HK lantern didnt work too well, had to inflate another one for rae who showed 5% interest.
-give one to my nephew, who was over the moon
-give one to my sister, who flatly decline, with buldging glaring eyes..... and passed it on to her neighbour immediately
-one still in wrapper.... no courage to open it.
-the lotus one fascinated rae for awhile cos of the rotating pictures.. now she insists it sits prominently on the coffee table!!
I will buy paper those traditional paper lanterns tonight for myself to preserve my sanity.
