10 Prenatal Pilates Classes in Singapore for Pregnancy Fitness and Conditioning

Pilates has become a popular workout in Singapore, with the addition of at least four new Pilates studios and classes in Singapore over the past year. Whether done on the mat or on a reformer, it can help practitioners achieve a long, lean, frame through strength-training exercises that sculpt the body. But Pilates is especially excellent for mums-to-be and new mums, Deborah Wong, director and senior instructor at Breathe Pilates tells us, because it focuses on the pelvic floor, diaphragm and abdominal muscles. “These are where we need the most help during pregnancy and postpartum,” the mother of two, who is also a fully licensed medical doctor, shared with us in an earlier article. With this in mind, we’ve compiled a list of prenatal Pilates classes in Singapore, where mums-to-be (and dads-to-be in one of them!) can strengthen mind and body throughout pregnancy, in preparation to welcome their little ones.

*The prenatal Pilates classes listed below are conducted on the reformer, unless otherwise specified.

** Always check with your obgyn and get an all clear to go ahead before beginning any kind of exercise during pregnancy.

Breathe Pilates

Sessions here focus on strengthening the pelvic floor and back muscles for a smooth pregnancy.
