March 2023

International Women’s Day in Singapore – Eat, Shop, and Support IWD 2023 today!

Frankly, we don’t need a day to tell us that women deserve more. We know that. But it’s still good to have a day to remind the rest of the world about that, right? And if there’s female-centred fun to go along with it? Why not? To clarify, we’re not complaining. So gather your gal pals, your boss babes, your femme squad, your soul sistahs, and go all out to celebrate yourselves this IWD 2023. You’re certainly worth it. Happy International Women’s Day!

Apple Watch Series 8

If you have periods, count yourself fortunate. That’s because menstrual cycles, messy as they can get, are windows to our health. As Dr. Sumbul Desai, Apple’s Vice President of Health notes, they can even lead to the detection of many conditions, both gynecologic and systemic. That’s why, if you are using and iPhone and Apple Watch, you should use your Cycle Tracking feature and empower yourself to better understand this aspect of your health. (And if you don’t have the Apple Watch yet… IWD 2023 gift to self, perhaps?)

What’s more, the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra also have new features such as temperature readings and ovulation estimates. While these are not meant to replace official medical analyses, they are incredibly helpful for women who are trying to conceive. If they seem to be mindblowingly accurate, that’s thanks to the Apple Women’s Health Study. This was conducted with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) to improve understanding of menstrual cycles and their relation to health conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and infertility. The best part? You’ll be notified if your cycle deviates, when your fertile window is coming up, and even your predicted period start date, so you’re always ready for babymaking, or Aunt Flo.
