Slipped disc... physiotherapy?

A few months ago, I went to Ardmore Orthopaedics at Mount E because of a persistent lower back pain that turned out to be a slipped disc after doing MRI. Dr Ng gave me prescriptive meds for the pain, but he also suggested physiotherapy to better help with the pain and recovery. I've also read in some posts that physiotherapy and rehab exercises also help. Any experiences?

prescriptive
A condition which refers to a problem with a rubbery disc between the spinal bones.
This condition occurs when the soft centre of a spinal disc pushes through a crack in the tougher exterior casing. And it
can irritate nearby nerves and result in pain, numbness or weakness in an arm or leg.

Do you want a permenent cure for this condotion? Pm me

Few years ago, I injured my lower back in the midst of army exercise (reservist) in Taiwan. It had resulted in me not being able to push myself up from bed in the morning. The condition worsen when I touched down back in Singapore. My work was affected. I could not move my body up every morning and need to turn sideways and move a little by little. I could not stand for long due to the pain. I could seat down for meals but could not stand after that. I have to hold onto the tables to lift myself up little by little.

Did a google search frantically and lucky enough to chance upon a Chinese physician specialized in bone and muscular therapy. Immediately fix up an appointment. In short, all it took was just a couple of minutes as my lower backbones were totally out of alignment. I left the premises steadily and tried to run a little and all good. :) The only news that I have to accept is; I can only swim and brisk walk and nothing else for the rest of my life. No more intensive physical exercise. No more visit to the gym.

And did I mention it costs me less than 2 pieces of blue notes? :)

I've slip disc and its on L4 & L5. When I have a relapse, I can't walk and very difficult to get out of the bed and my leg will be numb with tingling sensation. Getting in and out of the car is a nightmare. My recent relapse I went to A&E to get a jab to relieve the pain. You can also get the Oppo Lumbar Support as I feel it helps to support when you sleep or walk. Other than pain-killers to manage the pain, physiotherapy does help, and you can also do some stretching at home as my physiotherapist taught me some techniques. I went for a few sessions and back to normal but once you have slip disc, you got to take care of your back. Avoid carrying heavy stuffs, try not to sit on a slouching posture etc.
