This review is for our confinement nanny — we are so thankful to have had Aunty Lilian with us. As first-time young parents, we were anxious, but Aunty Lilian reassured us with her experience, patience, and loving care for our newborn. She was responsible and attentive, looking after our little one day and night without fail, ensuring that I had sufficient rest during this important recovery period. She always made sure that both mummy and baby were well taken care of.
Aunty is very knowledgeable — from newborn care (diaper changing, showering, feeding, burping) to herbs and confinement essentials. She even brewed fresh red date tea and prepared herbal baths for me every day. The food she cooked was usually to my liking, and she was receptive to feedback, always willing to make amendments when needed. I especially enjoyed the delicious meat dishes she prepared.
Although our only common language is Chinese and she is chatty and friendly, which made it easy to connect with her, communication was never a big issue thanks to her patience and willingness to guide us. Most importantly, she shared many helpful tips and advice, which gave us the confidence we needed as new parents.
