Any mummy with newborn or soon-to-be mummy diagnosed with cancer? I have been diagnosed with aggressive cancer when my baby was not even 8 months old. I stopped breastfeeding abruptly to undergo intensive chemotherapy for half a year. It has been a difficult period as I have to be warded for a week long of chemo every 3 weeks. After discharge, I could not get close to my baby especially when he fall sick, as I have low immunity. I have lost much bonding time with mt baby and sadly I could not breastfeed him as long as I expected. Friends around me are in their prime time enjoying their newly formed family, while I am going through emotional roller coaster, and the deepest fear and uncertainties that I might not be able to watch my baby grow up. Sharing here to look for parents with similar situation. We can provide emotional support and share resources to better help ourselves.
