Maintenance amount

Hi all, the usual practice in divorce cases is that the parent without the care & control has to pay for the child maintenance right? I would like to know how to derive at the amount to be paid as child maintenance? In the event where there is a dispute with the amount, what can be done?

usual case is lidat. unless he facing financial issue, or disability parents/siblings proven by judge.

amount depending on the declared expenses, both parties salary, and justification on the amount requested.

Both parents will need to pay for maintenance.
i.e Child’s expenditure - 3k
Mum’s salary - 4k
Dad’s salary - 6k.
So mum pays 40% of the child’s expenditure. Dad pays 60%.
Whoever gets the care n control will have to collect the percentage from that party.

If dispute, let judge decide

Yes. Both have to pay. And usually depend on both salary like what Eppy mentioned.
In the end, still final decision is the judge if there's any dispute or what
