Does anyone know do KKIVF use both catherer n ultrasound scan during ET or just catherer to put the embryo in?

Hi Melody, I just started my stim few days ago.. so far ok except feeling a lil emotional n moodswing. Today feel a bit tired. Occasionally there are mild cramps. But generally still manageable!

my period juz came this morning midnight so i called kkivf am i am to book, lucky manage to book. cause i was told by the staff the cutoff or date line must before 14/1/2016 for LMP. which is yst and i now 3 days early of my period
i doing so-iui under puregon protocol
day 1 onset mense
day 2- day 6 : FSH injection
day 7: ultrasound
day 8: FSH injection and etc...
anyone done that?

Im also for so iui with similar protocol...menses came 14/1/16 5pm.but i dun knw when their cut off date since dey haf blocked dates thus i just wait for february cycle den call dem up to start treatment...prolly get myself super healthy ready to maximise the chances of the procedure...

Mine she write on.paper for the cut off date. Maybe u wanna try call kkh ivf . Half day 8.30-12pm

Hi all, I am scheduled to go for ivf in Mar. JTS kkivf nurse just called to check when is my menses. Because Good Friday falls on 25 March so ladies whose menses falls on blockout period 1-15 Mar will have to change the cycle month.

It's not to be taken lightly - go to O&G to get a support jab and the doc may increase your dosage of duphaston.

you got to register and let the doc know you are spotting. She will do a scan for you and see the baby's heartbeat.
She will usually give you a jab. If she doesn't tell her you want a jab. The hormone jab.

Was wondering under the private scheme, how much does the hsg test and semen test cost?
Are these standard tests along with ultrasound scans and blood tests?
I only went for my first appointment today and I already spent a good $300 for first consultation, ultrasound scans, blood tests. Thought I should get a grip on the total costs so that I can decide to u-turn and go for polyclinic referral.

Maybe you can call up KKIVF to check on the costs. If cost is an issue, it's a good idea to go for polyclinic referral, but also mean you cannot choose doctors.

how much is the ivf?I'm with KKH Dr Tan. Seen him after Tri 1 and delivered my twins under him. IVF fertilization n procedure done by Dr Sadhana.

If u want a more personalised procedure like getting the same doc to do everything, u can try prof PC Wong from NUH. In KKIVF, only prescription, egg retrieval and embryo trf are done by my ivf specialist while the rest like scanning and consultation during ivf will not be done by residents in KKIVF. Hope this helps

Nope, it's only when your menses come then you need to call up KKIVF and the nurses will advise on when you go down to have your 1st ultrasound scan.

I dun understand your "going in early April" - have you done the necessary 1st consultation, blood test, video-watching, financial counseling? If not, then I assume your "going in early April" means the as mentioned.
Ya, when menses come, KKIVF will do the ultrasound scans and then advise you the jabs to grow your follicles. Once they reached desired size, your designated doc (THH) will do the egg retrieval for you, followed by embryo transfer.

yup, the first menses to come after your 1st appointment (counselling, video, blood test etc), you can officially start the cycle.

May I ask how many appointments does it take before once can start ivf proper i.e number of consultations for all the pre-ivf tests and counseling? Also, would Doctor advise against traveling during 2ww? Just wondering if that would help to take stress away from waiting.

Hi may i know is it a painful procedure when retrieving the egg?
you will be given GA and put to sleep. Only mild discomfort when you wake up.

hehehe, i quite like the feeling of being put under GA...the specific moment which you inhale the oxygen and you just drift to la-la land
First doc must put you on ivf schedule, there is usually a waiting period, abt 3 mths from 1st consultation. Then, you need to do some blood test and follow with a Counselling session before u can officially start ivf. And for 2ww, we usually don't travel. Most sisters will rest at home and eat well during this period.

Hi, you can expect scan and collect jabs, the nurse will teach you how to jab. Bring a cooler bag for the jabs.

Hi @bubbleblue1 ,sry fr the late reply. I went for e ultrasound scan on Tuesday. I reached about 8 plus and finished everything before 12pm. So estimated waiting time is about 2-3 hrs. I think probably need to take half a day for the first scan.
