can i ask if u r going to put it in bb room already or use as playard later? i m wondering if i need to buy n put one in bb room...bt not sure if its useful in tht way......*scratch head*

I have a handdown playpen which I use it for bb bed. But according to my friends bb won't stay in playpen n play for long cos too small.

They recommend me to buy the playyard or playpen which is place on the floor. U refer to the link I attached u will understand. They say bb can play there long and cos of bigger space. I bought 8 doors. The doors are detachable .
 
hihi ladies, was wondering whether we can eat GNC calcium complete (with Magnesium) during our 1st tri? I have bought it some time ago but not sure whether I can eat this now...can any ladies out here advise me? Thanks

How many you put before you sucessfully conceive? Singleton or Twins or even triplets :p On your first FET try? I have only 2 but if didn't manage to survive after I start D4 of next cycle. Time & Efforts even $$ is wasted in end.So I wonder Thaw embbies first or after I start the cycle.
And how many times checking the lining? How many days of leave after ET? MC or HL?
I need to schedule the dates well and don't wish to arouse any suspicious among my bosses & colleagues.
I need to consider and prepare the whole thing considering my financial and time (touchwood if I fail FET) because I want my son to have another sibiling. But due to my age, I must quickly get one or two babies otherwise too late I can't conceive anymore if I want to give myself more time.
I thought to myself always "Money later,can earn back and have babies first".
Stress.. sigh..

Do share with me what you think.

My sister has the LG playmat and the 8 pc detachable playyard. It's very useful and much bigger play area than playpen like fashion spree mentioned.

The material of the playmat is very good and easy to clean. When the young child cant sit up well and fall onto the playmat it's safe as the material of the playmat will like absorb the shock.

The only down side is its quite heavy if u wanna fold and keep it aside. The area within the playard can fit 2 seated adults and space for kids and toys

Once they are old enough to climb over the playard, the mat alone can still be used for lying down to drink milk and still play but without the borders.
 
my little joy, u can't thaw the embbies so early....kk will thaw the embbie the day before ur ET. For FET, kk initially told me only 1 day HL but they are flexible, u can let them know how many days u need on ET day. I took 9 days of HL for my FET. For number of scans, really depend on the growth of ur lining. I remembered i had 3 scans coz my lining didn't grow....i did my ET on D26 of my cycle if i remembered correctly.

I put in 3 embbies and am having 1 precious now. =)

Unfortunately you can't thaw the embies first. You have to go through the medication and checking of lining, and when your lining is thick enough, then they will thaw the embies and transfer on D2 or D3 after they thaw.

You can ask your doctor for the number of days MC you want, they will usually give you. Best to rest at home for the first 3-4 days after transfer cuz that's when the embies will attach to the lining.

My first FET failed, second one successful. They thawed 6, transfered 3, am expecting twins now.

hmm.. but I only have 2 frozen embies.How to have 2nd FET? sob.. You so fortunate to have a lot of embies.

So hard.. Going thru the medication and checking, then ready for FET and later receive news that 2 frozen embies didn't manage. In end, all the efforts esp time & $$ going down the drain overnight. Risky huh?

I guess I will hear what Dr SF loh say reagaring the above?
Though, I kept crossing fingers everyday that my 2 darlings must wait for me to get them at end.

I conceived my first bb thru fresh ivf cycle then did FET when my son was 25 months old. Thawed 2 and both survived and implanted. My twins are 5 months old now.

U hv to stop bf first then wait for 2 cycles before going for FET. Mine was a natural FET and my cycle was short. My FET was less than 1 month.

I discarded my remaining 9 frozen embies not long ago.

Ouch it pains me to see you disposing your remaining precious ones but I understand there is no choice.
As you have a lot no of embies, you could have no problem going for 2nd FET in case 1st failed.Maybe luckily the thawed 2 are stronger and can stick with you all the way. But look at me, I only have 2 left. Then how?
I wish to go for a natural FET but impossible to me as I have PCO problem.
I stop bf at 2.5mths already after birth because I am alone at home watching over bb 24hrs thus no chance to do EBF faithfully.
Dr Loh said he would see me after one year for FET ie. June 2011.
 
Dear Ladies

I have recently seen Dr SF Loh and have been recommended ICSI. My first counselling with the hospital is in Nov. He told me to go for the long agonist cycle coz I may have risk of hyperstimulation but I read online if you want to lower the risk, I should go the short antogonist cycle. I am so confused! Help!!
 
Ladies, do u have cravings for certain food during your first tri? I always hear ppl eating food they dun usually like to eat when they are preggy but for me, I am still eating the same food that I like. Btw I am week 5 now...

Think u still early for craving...usually week 6 onwards will get morning sickness...then you will start feeling the "change"...

For me, I used to like spicy food, now prefer light meals. Also no prawns...used to like prawn mee, hokkien mee.

I was solo like u too, with no help except when my hubby is around. I almost gave up on bf too but lucky manage to continue until my son is about 22 months old. I direct latch coz I didn't get much from expressing. Now I am bf both my twins

I dun think i want to use all the embies. Ha! When I did my FET, I had zero expectation. I told myself I preggy then it's a bonus Lo. If not I am happy with 1 child. Never expect to be preggy with 2 babies. I didn't hv the chance to spend time lying down after ET. Life was as per normal. Housework, cooking, tc of my son, etc.

The survival of the embies is really luck. No one can predict if they will survive or not.

For me, I had 13 embies in total. Used 2 for fresh cycle, ended up in mc @ 8wks. Then did FET, thawed and put in 3, ended up in mc @ 5wks. Did FET 2nd time. Thawed 4, only 3 survived, so put in 3 but mc @ 6wks.

Then my final FET I had 4 embies left. During thawing stage 1 din survive. So I put in my last 3. And with God's grace I'm expecting triplets now at 26wks.

So it really depends. You never know which embies will be the gift or gifts

True, life goes on no matter whatever we face new or difficult situations everyday.

For my case, I leave my fate of FET to GOD. Just like I lost my other twin in 1st fresh cycle. Heartpain..

Meanwhile,what a relief to learn that your twins are ok now. Hope the same for both you and your hubby.

Of coz u r not a lousy mother. Motherhood is not abt bf only.

I think I left out the word "IF" I m preggy then it's a bonus. Actually I was prepare for a fail FET so I was bochap. Can even play Wiifit, drink cold tea.

Im finally back at home.. Just reached home only...
Actually the latest ctg still can detect contractions... Twice in 2hrs... But dr give me a go ahead to go home.. But i need to return to labour ward tml for another ctg check...

Im glad to be home... Have already stayed 5 days in hosp... Really v tiring...

Hopefully my contractions can stop... Pray....
 
Hi mummies, I hv a queries to make. Went for my detailed scan 2wks ago n my bb's tummy is 75%, is this norm? Does anyone experience tis b4? Tried not to think too much bt tis bt it keeps coming into my mind. Q worry tho. Do I nd to cut down on sum of my daily intake, like milk...etc. Is tis e cause of his big tummy?

Hi ladies,
My twins just arrived yesterday afternoon! Both are 2.52kg and the nurses said that it's very rare that both twins have the same weight at birth. They are doing quite well and both have Apgar score of 9.

I'm still on drip now as I vomited badly in the op theatre after the spinal block injection. But seeing the 2 cute babies makes everything worth it! My hubby was so touched to see the babies once they were out that he was tearing. So those going for C-section, try to opt for epidural so that you can see your babies once they are delivered. The feeling is amazing ;)

I'm working hard to latch on now. The boy simply refuse to suckle while the girl suckle very well. Will be getting the lactation consultant to come later. But my milk supply has not kicked in yet so I've requested to have a breast pump in my room for me to massage and pump every 3 hrs.

Bing, congrats! We are happy for you. Showed hubby your post. He said he will also cry if he see our newborn gal... after that, he touched my tummy.

Dont worry, the vomitting will go away soon... heh heh, so happy to hear that your little girl is suckling well. Just relax, i m sure your milk will kick in soon.

Do post pics in FB once you are discharged.. no hurry though... once again, congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats. Finally u get to hold ur twins in ur arm. Indeed it is a very touching moment when u see ur babies. For us ivf mummies, we been waiting for this day. Do rest well n speed recovery.

My turn on wed and I'm also eager to see my princess. Do update their pic in facebook to share with us.
 
Just faith, my doc didnt say anything. She juz lookd at my rpt n said tat bb is growing well. I didnt get e chance to ask her as I tot its norm. Bt aft looking thru at the rpt, now kept thinking is it really norm...
 
fashion spree, i went back to work last monday, dr loh didn't ask me rest at home, he just ask me dun stress. Last visit dr loh said bb is abit small in size but ok, guess coz she is putting on wt consistently. Will be seeing dr loh on 12 nov again. U got all things ready for ur bb's arrival?u must be looking forward to 3rd nov. =)

leapgirl, if doc didn't say anything means ur bb is fine, dun worry. Ur bb's tummy size is at the 75% would mean ur bb is chubby coz the doc will determine the wt of bb by measuring the tummy size an the thigh bone length. So dun worry ya. Chubby bbs are so cute!

Girls buying disposable undies, i just bot mine at guardian, their in house brand cotton disposable undies is having sale buy 2 get 1 free. Each packet is $3.95. I didn't open to see how's the material though but think cotton shld be ok.

Glad to hear that everything is fine. Remember don't stress. I think my bb grow well too cos been away from work for quite some time. Hence no stress cos at home do nothing. My job is quite stressful too as I'm in sales. Luckily my bedrest do help me get enough rest. Hope u are not so stress now.

Ya everything ready ,except breast pump n bindle not buy yet. Will buy after delivery. Ya now counting down to wed. Will update bb pic on facebook later . U have facebook acct?

I have also left the breast pump, buying later at kkh using the vouchure when i delivered
