Btw, very high dose of stims is not always the best way to get good quality eggs, esp in your case of lower ovarian reserves. You could consider a different consultant. Every doc has their own experience and cocktail and it may not work with all patients.

Not sure if western doctor will comment on acupuncture. Is this ur first cycle?
Anyway I have BFP and BFN with acupuncture, and also had BFN and BFP without acupuncture. My sense it’s it doesn’t have much effect for me.

I feel that as Long you and have no regrets at the end on the day.. just follow your heart

Ya same for me. I have bfp with and without. But I think it wouldn’t be much use if u do it right around ur ivf cycle. Prob should start at least a couple of months b4...
 
Yes I did blood test. Which test will say of its cyst or follicles. Before I started I knew I got one cyst on right and one fibroid.

I know it feels like forever but sometimes HCG climbs a bit slower. Don’t give up hope yet.

Try to get some fresh air and get out of the house. The implant would have happened by now so some slow walking and fresh air will cheer you up. :)

Menses came today. No more hope.
 
Hi.. may i know anyone experience this before?

9DP5DT HCG: 164
11DP5DT HCG: 399
17DP5DT HCG: 7522

I have first transvaginal ultrasound on 17dp5dt which was on yesterday 04 dec, doc said the gestational sac is smaller than expected (he didnt measure), no yolk sac yet, and the implanted position is at the lower part of the uterus near to cervix.

He told me it is 50/50 chance, sometimes when's the embryo grow up it will move up and adjust the position.. the first things is have to see the yolk sac and heartbeat first, asked me to repeat HCG on thursday (19DP5DT) and scan on next tuesday.

I am so nervous and worried.. pls share with me if you have experience this, thanks.

Don’t be scared.. a lot of us went through the same thing.

I’m not with KKH so I can’t advise on the procedure. Maybe call KKIVF center for early BT?

After a failed fresh cycle, my doc will usually suggest to rest 2-3 cycles before starting another fresh cycle. I think that’s a good time ie after cny where the clinic is open and Doctors are back again.

I Guess u can be proactive to get the nurse to arrange an appt for u to see doctor Tan.

Just my 2 cents worth.. I myself also has Low AMH for my age. Hence high doses actually doesn’t work as the egg quality won’t be good. My 3rd fresh where the doc used the max dose, no embryos survived so I totally wasted that entire cycle.

For me, lower dosage of stim produced better quality blastocysts, though only have like 2-3.

You can discuss with Dr Tan and see how he can twinge the stimulation dosage for u.

Hi hopehope, don’t give up. Try to call this no ‭6394 1694‬ to arrange for early blood test. Nurse will arrange early BT if u tell them u saw blood. Cheer up!

For my no1, I had v. low beta (8.5) to start with and for both my pregnancies, I had low laying placenta where the implantation was very close to the cervix.
For a healthy pregnancy, our beta hcg should increase 10fold in a week.
Hang in there and wait for the next beta-hcg and scan.

Now Don't brood over the position of the implantation. Sometimes the placenta will move up towards when our uterus expands at the later stage of the pregnancy.
Its more important to have a healthy baby.

Meanwhile try to stay chill and continue talking to your beanie.

Your HCG level looks good. The embryo doesn’t move after implanted, but it’s more like the womb will expand and hence the subsequent placenta and all will be relatively not near the cervix.

Hi all, I am going for my second FET. My first fresh was a success and I remember my lining was 12mm at maybe CD 9 or 10. My lining for my first FET in April was only 8mm at maybe CD 9. This first FET ended up as a chemical. Today, at CD 9, my lining is only 7mm. What is the average lining for CD9? Any food I should eat to help improve the lining? Thank you.

Can i check anyone see Dr tan siew buoy? Where is her clinic located now? Is her medicine still brewing kind? Hows her waiting time? Cause i see her reviews are not recent.

I went there recently in October. Still in Upper Cross Street. Medicine still the brewing type. Waiting time was about 90 mins after my appointment time.
 
Hi, can i check how is your menses like first time after fresh ivf? Like for the past one day, the red/dark brown blood just come out bit by bit and not like my usual blood flow.

Hey Almond, is that so? No laaa...other than the blood tests like HIV with hubby, you don't need to undergo HSG again.

Did you emphasize that you are a return patient?

Yes leh... tho she did not say I need to do HSG but she said I need to consult doctor.

Good good if no need. More savings and less pain.

If my FETs fail, the next fresh should also not require these tests right...?

Ya, need to consult THH first..Choy! think of success, dun think of failure. No need, unless during the ultrasound scan, they saw something that requires further testing.
 
Can I check any mummies here take hypertension medication? I’m taking methyldopa 250mg. Not too sure I’m if I’m suitable to consume during my first trimester. Thank you

Hi dear

I have pre hypertension before preggy but no medication. And my doc is concerned so he refer to me see a cardio specialist which I’m given 3 x 250mg methyldopa per day since week 9.. in additional, im given aspirin from week 15 onwards.

I have my monthly appt with my cardio doc to monitor my condition.. once into 3rd trim, the visit will become once a week because BP expected to shoot up in last trim.

Maybe you like to speak to your dr about the plan so he can work on the best treatment to control BP.

Hi hellokittygirl, Thank you for your reply. I have been taking my methyldopa for 5 years. I just tested positive so not too sure I can continue taking for early pregnancy

I was told by my cardio doc that Methyldopa is the safest med for baby & mommy so I believe is pretty safe. But you can always check back with a gynae or cardio specialist to have a piece of mind.. :)

Oh ya ur doc is THH too... I wonder if I was one of the guinea pigs for this baby aspirin during ET. LOL. Other doctors usually recommend for preggers.

But i think it did help me. So I’m hoping the same for u too!

May not be necessary to so hsg as well. It all depends on ur dr. Did my 2nd fresh cycle in Oct. I went for the counselling again (that was abt 200 plus.) which I didn't need to so when I did my fet in 2017. Better to check with dr tan.

Hi it’s for people who have suffered miscarriages before. Has to do with some blood issue I think.

I didn’t do the test to confirm I have the issue but thh recommended I just take cos there’s no harm.

I read on internet that there’s controversy over taking aspirin during ET. But I trusted THH and took all the way till first tri is over.

I finished my day 5 scan today but realized had blood on probe and told doc. They told me continue stim. Did anyone else encounter this. Now still spotting.
