Hi melody, thanks for your reply. What did you do or eat that make your fsh go down? I am also going for short protocol next round with 450 dosage and I don't think the doc has the intention to check my fsh again for the cycle.
You got great yield and quality of eggs! Are you in your 2ww or already had your bfp?
Hi bb blues, which hospital are u at? Perhaps u can chat more with your doctor to discuss further?
Anyway, just for your knowledge, I did 450 Gonal, 20 suprefact, 20 saizen. Saizen is a growth hormone.
I did absolutely nothing different, think it's one of those hormones that fluctuate monthly.
I just had my beta today, Preggy!!! Yay!

I am from NUH and I don't think they monitor FSH. I also had saizen before but sad to said it did not help in my case.

Bbliss, do you feel any itchiness down there? It is quite unusual to have yellow discharge. Better check with the clinic.

Is it common to feel symptoms during the tww? I dont have any significant symptoms as of yet and am getting a little jittery. I know I shldnt dwell too much on the symptoms but I can't help it.

hazel, not everyone has symptoms leh...i dun hav any except bloatedness on the last few days...everyone is diff..so juz relax and create a soothing envir for ur embies..jia you! goodluck!

actually I dun have any symptons except suffering from OHSS. no spotting, no backache, no sore boobs

Thanks dream&Audrey. I guess I'm just being too impatient. I will try to relax and not think too much into it. I'm on my 5dp5dt tdy. Praying hard for my little one to stick and be strong!

Just suddenly thot of it and thot of sharing wiht u gers...there is this myth of about getting preg if we share confinement food with preg ladies...my gf told me and she said she has seen successes...perhaps is a coincidence...before i succeed on this cycle in aug, this gf was celebrating her baby's full mth in may...so i went and had 2 bowls of the pig throtter with vinegar...is a confinement food and i like it...so if u hav frens on confinement, no harm trying...

My sis in law just delivered and my colleagues also told me to eat her confinement food on her bed. Haha but I didn't. Then ytd was the 12th day of her confinement and the confinement nanny sent us a pot of vinegar pig trotters. So I ate cos I figured can get some baby dusts from her food. Hahah well no harm trying.

Yes, hazel! i also read abt eating confinement food on her bed on 12th day...but i feel to pai sei to ask my fren as her hubby will be at home..later, he thot i am mad... but it was nice of her to later suggest eating her confinement food...and she purposely took out a whole pot together with other food...so that no one will find it weird i am eating her food...think she has other frens trying to conceive too...

Yawn... I just returned from my ER at KKH. They did 6 today and I was the 4th. I was praying & hoping for more than 10 ... I was so nervous throughout !! The aesthetic needle in my left hand was so so painful .. The theatre so cold .. And I actually woke up in the middle of the procedure! After that the aesthetician top up more drugs I guess cos I got knocked out again.
Dr Sadhana retrieved 21 from me today!! I hope most are matured and fertilized .. At least its a good start. Dr Loh only got 6 out of me the last round ... God bless me

ur quality better than mine! mine out of 38, 32 matured but only 18 fertilized. mine quality not fantastic
Hi makino, wah..so nice to have so many to retrieved. Went to do my scan today. Need to go back tmr again as the doc today wants the follicles to grow bigger. Most properly will be sat or mon doing the ER. Feeling bloated now. Plus tired.. Have been to the hospital daily.. Very shiong.

my ER harvested 38 but I was mentally prepared to have such numbers cos day 5 stim already 30 & my dosage was brought down immediately. 21 is a good number.... u just need 1 good embryo to be a mummy!!

Makino, did you see what the doc was doing when you woke in the midst of the procedure? Painful? Did you talk?
Sorry, this is the first time I heard patient wake in in the midst of the procedure..

Dreamirene, I love the pig trotter with vinegar. I have been taking it from friend's confinement. But after so many years, I am still here, hoping for my first one leh.

Hi SSS, I was still abit drowsy but I opened my eyes, looked down & saw dr sadhana in front of me "there" .. Cannot see what she was doing .. It wasn't painful Just discomfort. For that split second, I was contemplating not telling them i was awake but ultimately i did. The aesthetician heard me then was frantically trying to make me sleep again. She was going like :"what u awake! You awake!" Haha. .. I was chatting with my friend who was an ex-nurse in KKH. She said they don dare give too high dosage in case patients sleep too long. Needless to say, I woke up in the theatre right after the procedure was over .. In fact I didn't get much rest cos they said I didn't have enough oxygen in my blood so the nurses were checking on me every now and then.. I had to take constant deep breathes.. But taking constant deep breathes makes me giddy so I was ultimately given the oxygen mask .. Procedure was at about 9.40am and went home 11:45am. And cos I had 21 eggs I had to take medication for 8 days. I just woke up from a 6hr nap and feeling abit nausea after taking the med..

Question: why do I get pain in both side of my ovaries when I'm doing a medicated cycle? Technically I shldnt be ovulating right?

Dreamirene, thanks for your encouragement. This is my 3rd FET. But it is 95% unlikely a bfp. I will be doing an earlier bt. I have spend $900plus for the insurance. 3FET x $900 = est $3000. GE really earn a lot of money from me.
As a person who is carrying the 3 embryos, I believe that no matter what, there is some symptoms that the embryos will tell you:"Hey, mom. I am still here!"
Ivf womens are more careful in carrying their embryos than a natural pregnant woman. It is natural to feel the symptoms. This is my thought.

It's normal to feel cramp and spotting the next day after ER. Are you over 37 years old? cos you can only transfer 3 if you are over 37 and fail one ivf cycle. When is your ET?

I understand how you feel but hey u mentioned 95% so there is still this 5% possible. You never know till BT date.

Yes i checked & i qualify. I'm 39 this year and this is my 2nd IVF .. I'm supposed to go back to KKH at 7:30am tomorrow for ET but nurse also said we will need to review with Dr first see if we going for blastocyst or not .. Depends on the quality of my eggs .. the last IVF i had 4 fertilized and were all grade 3 .. if we are doing 5d blastocyst then my ET will be Mon/Tues

sunstillshines, i know how dejected we can feel afte going through the cycles...but no matter wat...u hav to stay +++...... u never know till BT itself...like wat jumbo girl said, there is still a 5%....many times, things just happen within that 5% range and caught u offguard...since u hav already come a long way on this, y not stay ++ for the last lap and influence ur embies...they are still sticking with u and fighting along with u... jia you, ok!

Out of 21 ovum, only 8 are successfully fertilized. All these are via ICSI. Those via IVF (sperm to naturally penetrate egg) didn't make it. They were abnormal according to dr sadhana. Dr said since I had a record of embryos not surviving thaw, it is likely I'm one of those whose embryos just don't survive thaw. She said she dont suggest we freeze any and lose them in the process. She wants to blast all 8 embies yet the survival rate for 5d blastocyst is 30% .. Meaning we will be expecting just 2 or 3 of them by d5 .. And means I will only have (again) just one chance at fresh cycle. I had wanted to blast 5 and freeze 3 but what if all 5 or lessor than 2 make it to blastocyst .. I would have to forgo this cycle. S I agreed. Sigh .. I told her I'm resigned to it. If this is no good, she ain't going to see me anymore. But one good thing out of this is that the grades of my embies have improved. While I had only 4 @grade 3 during my 1st IVF, this time I have 3 @grade 3, 5 @grade 4. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They will check the embies next Monday .. If all are good, ET will be Tues. if the conditions of the embies ain't good, they will ET me on Mon.. Put them into the uterus before we lose them all.

All 3 transferred were grade 1.
I have 10 more frosties - grade 1 and 2 left. Scared of failures. Paid so much for insurance for nothing. I am comtemplating to request for blastocyst for all for next FET.
Makino, you see, grade 1 also does not mean success. Grade 1 does not equal strong. I may also end up with nothing more to transfer if I do blastocyst for my next FET.

SSS.........your BT is 26th aug .......Heng in there till it really cnfm by the dr. Don't give up .

Can I check how to know the grade for the embryo is good? The bigger the number or the smaller the number? Will be doing my trigger tonight, doing ER on Monday. Every step to the next procedure is a worry... Now worry will my eggs good quality? I know I just need to keep myself cool and stress free but sometime I can't help but worry.

Sorry to hear abt that sss. Keep your spirits up. I know it's easier said than done. But u still have frosties left so don't give up.
