1 box has 30 packs. I box is $106. Did you jaw drop? My jaw dropped when I first knew the price and resisted to buy it but it really help very much. So I pay through my nose for me. (all the coins dropped down from my nose.. I need a pail...hahaha)
 


my frens understand but not my boss..

When i scan on monday n see no hb, i already heartbroken n dr say scan again on wed..so i msg my boss told him i on 2 days urgent leave as i m not in the best of mood to work cos at the risk of miscarriages, he replied me ok
then last nite, he insist to meet me this morning cos of a deal, i said i can't, i m seeing dr. n he replied me in email that if i can't meet then he will pass the deal to other.i was so angry, i replied him at this critical moment, u mean there is no colleague to help me??? then he dare not reply me. but after this incident, i realised how selfish he was...i nvr see such inconsiderate boss in my life before. he really lost my respect n drive to work for him ...

99% bosses want profit they dun care if we hv our own troubles. In their opinion, they think they pay us and we must get the work done.
 
chrisl, he is just a normal mgr only. even my x mgr will aso ask me how m i after my fibroid removal surgery whether will affect having bb in future or not..he nothing at all..

n he calls for meeting tmr, i dun even want to reply his invite now..i will just submit my mc

Chrisl, I am very lazy.. lunch time I just boil noodles. Add in fish and a few stalk of veg. Or buy mix veg with chicken or fish or egg to eat.

I took 2 to 4 half boiled eggs only at the later stage of the stim because I was too lazy to make and also I depend on Immunocal lor.

Mei2, doc said i might have acid reflux that resulted in my cough so cannot take chocolate. As such I choose strawberry flavour. Chocolate is my favourite though. I think they should work the same bah. Is chocolate more heaty?

Sss, not sure too heaty onot but just go ahead to buy just now.. small tin to try out 1st coz i not a milk powder person :p and oso bought the heat pack! Haa will use it later too to warm tummy abit..

Miracle is happening to us after 8 years of TTC#2!!!


TTC due to fertility issues are not an easy task for all ladies here. KUDOS to all of us!!! I had tried 8 years for the 1st child (first IVF/ICSI at the end of 8th years) and another 8 years with the 2nd(3 fresh/1 FET). I thought I had given up in 2010 after anotherfailed IVF. I am glad I gave myself another chance to try again.

Mei2: i very scared for u....cos i am not sure if can use heatpad...do u see Dr Zou? If so, just get a hot water bag from her...she sells it at $5...othewise , mayb just get a bottle of warm water n put at the area...not sure if heatpad will be too hot...cos Dr Zou did mention not hot water but just warm...u est hor...
 
Dream- Thank you!!! ^^ I am very grateful to have only one child. I told my hubby that we should stop after the IVF in 2010. I don't know when I will break down or go crazy after another failed IVF. Then this year, the government gave a higher subsidy and my hubby aunties and my MIL encourage us to try saying the GOD saw a vision that many babies are coming. (BTW, they are christian but we are not) At the same time, my 8 years old girl never once stop to request for another sister or brother. Thus, we decided to try ONCE again which maybe it's the only one time that we can afford. We didn't choose a well known IVF doctor but I believed Dr Sadhana being the Director of KKIVF centre should be able to do a good job too. Another advantage with her is we do not need to queue do long for the first appointment nor wait too long for her appointment.

Anyway, I still feel unsecured about this pregnancy. My lower abdominal is feeling tight always. I am wondering is it normal. Btw, NUH Ivfers are given progesterone jab and KKH is only giving progesterone pills?

I'm from nuh n after bfp I have support jab twice weekly, oral pills & remain the same support for vagina inserts during 2ww!
 
Dear sisters, have been a silent reader for this thread.

May I ask for those undergoing and/or went thru FET, wat are some preparation works did u all do and wat are some foods u all eat to prepare/ beef up e chances for FET?

Congrat jasmin! We decide to try ivf too as my 6yo boy wanted a sibling since 2 years ago :p can request for jabs instead of insert the next visit?
 
Lavender- wah.. I am only given the oral dydrogesterone pill to be taken twice a day for one mth sttarting from tomorrow. Then I left one day progesterone suppositories. Hmm, indeed very different...
 
Mei2- .. In France, we are given a med called progesterone retard which we need to jab ourselves once a week for 3 month. Singapore doesn't have it. Anyway, progesterone jab in Sg so troublesome, cannot do by ourselves and need to go down twice a week. Seriously, jab is more painful as it is oil based. But the oral progesterone is not strong and good enough??

Congrats! Don't worry too much about the supports.. I see it has been fine for the other bfp ladies from kkh.. I'm from nuh and indeed we're given more supports.. But my doc told me it's actually optional and not compulsory, just that they hope to help us get thru this period with the added supports.. I know of some ladies who actually reject supports cos they feel it's artificial hormones and their pregnancy went well.. Don't worry ya..

Sorry to hear abt your loss.. Do have a mini confinement to build ur health back.. I did mine for abt 2 wks last time.. If you need leave from work, just ask your doc for it.. Don't let your manager bother you..

Conceived the first one through Dr SF Loh on my 2nd FET (failed on 1st fresh cycle and miscarried on 1st FET).

Has been putting off this TTC thingy for quite some time.. Now with the better subsidy/grant .. I've decided to try again ..

Think FET no need to take egg whites lah just normal red bean soup and beef for lining (if you hv lining problems) else more lax than fresh cycle.

I engaged natal essential confinement catering. They can start delivering once they received your call. One day notice is required only. Ignore your boss. If your boss is so heartless no point working hard for him. Yeah baby more impt than work. I learnt that work wise, we can catch up at later stage of our life.we have a time clock in our body if we pass 40, than less likely to get preggie. I learnt a lot in another thread with Chrisl, Bbliss , Hazel, Kimmy, Catherine they all.
 
watever it is, we are starting to accept it..though still sad but we can only keep telling ourself, she leaves us so that she won't born to suffer or make us as parents suffer as well..

mil still go guanyin temple ytd to qiu qian. she said the road to be parents for us is difficult but as long we are persistent, we will reach it.after tat my hsb feels more relief..

tik my brother n sil will bring my godson to my hse visit me tonight. last nite over the phone, he so sweet n said I love u , makes me want to cry more..

I don’t know how to comfort you… but just to tell you to take your time to heal, and try again. Regarding your manager, please ignore such people… As long as we know our priorities, what’s the worst that could happen? Find another job… that’s all… Take it easy okay? Don’t let your boss add in to your stress.

To all the sisters here... I would like to seek advice whether anyone of you here with hyper-thyroidism have done IVF before? I stopped my hyper-thyroidism medication P.T.U because I am allergic to the medication, and after few weeks, the symptoms of hyperthyroidism (tiredness, heart palpitations etc) are back. If I change to another medication C.A.R.B, it is not safe for pregnancy, when we initially plan to start IVF in June. Can someone please advise whether:
1. Should I proceed with IVF regardless the symptoms without C.A.R.B?
2. Should I eat the other medication C.A.R.B despite the risks to the baby if my IVF is successful?

Would really appreciate the sisters’ advice here. Thanks.
 
Cheeka, it is better to get the hyperthyroidism cleared before embarking the ivf. Thyroidism can cause miscarriages...

I think you should ask your gynae for advise since you are allergy to PTU. Another way is to speak to an andocrinolgist.
 
Sunshtillshines: Thanks for replying... really give me strength for now... If I wait till hyper-thyroidism is cleared... I will be "too old"... Sigh... Im at a lost of what to do next.
 
Cheeka, don't wait anymore go to see an ivf gynae and see what he says.

Are you taking CARB now? or PTU? Please do not take seaweed or seafood - avoid all food that contain iodine, including supplements. Conceivewell has iodine.

Sunstillshines: I was taking P.T.U. Stopped because of allergy. Now, I am not taking anything... have not been taking anything for several weeks, but I feel the symptoms coming back. I forgot that Conceivewell has iodine! I know I have to go back to do blood test to confirm that my Hyper is back.

Cheeka, although I dun know abt the drugs and your medicial background, but like what SSS mentioned, the best answer will be from a IVF specialist.

Dolly gal and dreambear - after 7 years of trying for my first child, we went to see a fortune teller. He told us we will NEVER have any children. He even said he will chop down his head and let us sit if we ever have it. He also said it is useless to adopt child as well as the child will never live long. In conclusion, we will have no children in our life unless miracle happen.

Thank GOD!!! Miracle really happened but we told our friend to keep a secret from this fortune teller. We don need his head..haha.

Have faith in yourself, have faith in our body, have faith in God. Keep on praying and believe one day you will get what you have asked. Hugs
 
dollygal, at least guan yin say u have it... mine was a few fortune tellers say I will be childless n even if have only 1 but difficult to raise up... when I hear those words my heart sank. now I'm embarking on ivf is I want to give myself a last try whether succeed or fail at least I have given my best.

ignore ur boss, I seen too many of such bosses in my previous work place. change a new job when u hv recovered ur health.
 
mei2,dreambear, embrologist called. 30 were matured. 20 are fertilized. She will update me tomorrow about the growth rate. Like competition right? Like pre qualification, qualification, qua-final, finals... *sweat*... the number is getting smaller and smaller.
 
dollygal, Jasmine and fantasydm, frankly speaking, after hearing and seeing so much, I wonder shd I just go ahead and adopt. But then, adopt also may not be that easy. Well, now then i realised that it was a mth tdy after i failed my 2nd fresh. I kind of cooled down and think what do i really want and how long can i wait. Maybe my 3rd fresh will be my last try, for NOW. Then I will go to adopt liao. No point and not fair for my DH and my mum to wait forever and my dh is no longer young.

SSS, 20 is such a HUGH figure to me lor. My 2nd day AFC dun even go beyond 16
