IVF/ICSI Support Group

gan, accuputure is done consecutively a few days b4 ovulation. Stop when ovulate. I hv done b4. I can't take the pain which I feel is worse than all the ivf jabs.
 


gan, when u see dr loh, checked with him if there are areas that can be improved so that the chance of success is higher for FET. Coz there r medication available that we can take one...
 
gan, when I did accuputure, I go during my lunch hrs. Some ladies go after work. I dun really like the session. N is not cheap either, I pay abt 50bucks each time at xiarong
 
Hazel, as i am thinking of going to Dr Zou as I read in forum she is good, and she is at AMK, so i guess i will go after work.
 
GAN - yes, accu does improve lining and i did mine twice a week while i'm on stage 2 and 4 straight days b4 my ER ... my lining is greatly improved ... as for the pain level, it is not so painful as it is all in our mind .. while I'm my way there, I would always remind myself the objective is to increase the lining and the pain is minimal ... Doctor Zou also does accu during ovalution and she would also prescribe herbs for you ....
 
zaza, from day 2 till when? Wow.. Daily very siong. Xiarong does only during ovulation times n is already costly..

Yes, accuputure is supposed to improve medication. But there r medicine to take also to improve that.
 
Zaza u know how many eggs r fertilize? How many embryos u putting? How u feeling after ER? Ur nos r better then mine

Hazel - not all places are the same .. it does not mean that u do not like the session then others shld also follow .. it is up to individual ... I also go after work or weekend and she only charges $25/session.... lots of ladies had BFP under her care ....

mummy_wannabe - 11 are fertilise today and as I'm applying for the govt grant then I'm only putting in two embroyos .. I still have the bloated feeling but luckily I do not bleed ... still have difficulty walking and as much as possible I'm in bed .. went for accu today and it helps a lot ...
 
Zaza, thanks for the info, will go make appt with Dr Zou, want to increase my lining thickness for my FET.

Just realise that you are doing your ET on Thursday, all the best to you!

zaza, I Nv say others wun like. I am just saying I dun like coz is painful for me.. I also see Tcm for close to two yrs b4 going to ivf... Xiarong also has a no of successful case like dr zhou. Cld be just me that is unlucky...

mummy_wannabe - avoid cold stuffs from now all the way to 2ww .. I wanted to drink the cold drinks @ Doctor Zou and was scolded by her assistant as I'm suppose to be keeping my womb warm ... I learnt my lesson n had been drinking either warm or plain water

Yes, accuputure does help in lining. but a successful pregnancy has a lot of other factors n most we cant control. If dr cannot control. How can we? Not too long ago, a sister shared a story here on this.

End of the day, luck n fate r still very important. If u read other posts in other threads, u will come across sisters who conceive naturally even with blocked tubes.

How to explain? Of course, I agree, we still try everything within our means la.
 
Hazel, i guess for me i am going to try things which i didn't do during my fresh cycle, and hopefully I am more prepared for the FET.
 
Zaza 12mm was ur lining on ER (mon) day? Tats gd. Mine Sat 13mm already...hope it stays. Is this ur 1st ivf cycle? Take care rest more. Surprising i dun feel much afer ER.
 
hazel - yes, luck does plays a major role in a successful pregnancy but I also believe that if u really put ur heart and belief in God, he would hear ur prayers if u are really sincere in wanting a baby .. of course it is easier said than done but there is not harm trying ....

Another thing would be tactful, considerate and humble when handling other feelings .. I had read some of ur postings and not everyone could digest ur posting ... all of us are here to learn from each other and most of the sistas are pillars for each other ... I had formed strong strong bond with other seniors whom had graduated and currently are silent readers and the comment is still be considerate of others ... peace no war ...
 
mummy, if u surf the website, lining thickness is just 1 factor to ideal. The layer of the lining is also impt. Something like 3 layer or something, I read already can't remember anymore.

from wat I know the insurance we buy after ET is similar both in pte or public hosp but whether transferrable need to check. Actually the insurance cover quite minimally, up to 30 days stay n max is 54k irregardless of how many babies. I think this is like a group insurance so for individual insurance dun think there's any. I wanted to upgrade my healthcare insurance recently n now they tell me womb related conditions will be excluded due to my ohss. Luckily I'm already covered quite extensively so wat I wanted was just extra.
 
hihi, i'm new here. I'm on 1st IVF fresh cycle and will be doing my pregnancy BT on 17/dec. I'm so anxious and did HPT on my own and is POSITIVE.Can it be trusted cos some say we're on hormones pills and injection that may cos the HPT to error
 
i'm on Pregnyl, I tested 2 times today.both postive. my ER is 1/dec and ET is 3/dec. i have only 1 embro during ER but manage to survive ICSI.

Singapoh, thanks for your concern..still don't feel so good, esp after going into work to deal with a bunch of *shake head* people...almost wanted to vomit blood after 2 heavy meetings in the morning...my doc made me eat antibotics for the flu and blocked nose. I did told him that I'm preggy and whether I can not take the antibotics. But he said it wont affect my baby and ask me take so can recover...hubby aso asked me not to be over paranoid, jus listen to doc.......
 
libra, ur ivf not done at Kkh right? I did ER n ET same day as u... But my BT is 18th. When was ur last Pregnyl jab? Mine was sat.
 
it's great having to share my feelings here...i'm going back to work on friday. all my colleague knows i'm gg for ivf...do not know how to face them if the process fail.
 
I did my IVF in SGH. My Pregnyl is on 3/Dec, 5/Dec and 7/Dec respectively. Are you anxious to know the results. Is it your first fresh cycle? i'm 31 this year
 
libra, u r very blessed. I am older than u... Am 36. Ur HPT is accurate coz ur last Pregnyl is last monday. It is already 1 wk... So HCG is gone today already.

I am anxious but I can't test since my last Pregnyl was sat. So if HPT is positive I also dunno how accurate.

U get any symptoms?
 

no symptoms leh. a bit of Cramps...which i normally gets during mensus...quite scary at first i thought...But i'm still on Dydrogesterone(3times a day). could it be this medicine that causes it to be positive...i really pray hard to be positive. GOD pls help....
