Hi Msh,
I have done 2 ICSI n 1 FET at kkh since begining of this year. Since u hv taken most of the test recently, kkh will not ask u to repeat the test. so in your case, it is not necessary to get a referral from polyclinic ( just like my case). As in my case, I have many friends who were successful with Dr Sheila Loh (head of kkivf)so I chose to see Dr Sheila Loh as a private patient(anyway as soon as u embark on yr ivf journey in kkh, there isn't any diff between private or subsidised patients).Conincedentally,I went on the 1st day of my period, after going thru my case, she suggested i start right away. immediately, she called the nurse manager and the chief embryologist to fit me into their schedule .my first appointment with her lasted 1 1/2 hr and it was on a new year's eve.so i went back the next day and started my scan and puregon injection.though my 1st ivf was not successful but i was still very comfortable with Dr Sheila Loh so i went back to her for my 2nd ivf. I must say she is very receptive to open discussion, i went in with tonnes of questions and she answered patiently, this appt lasted abt an hr. so for my 2nd ivf we tried a diff protocol. so it is not true that u hv to wait very long to start your ivf at kkh, look at me, i did 2 ivf n 1 fet all in 9mths.all these were done at my preferred timing. so if u want to start ivf , u should explain to the re yr situation, i guess they will try their best to comply. it will be good if u can see yr re soon so he/she can advise u on the protocol and when to embark in order to suit yr schedule. Hopefully this will help.
