O yes...distance cycle buddies...hehe.
Let us support one another during the process.
As this is the first time doing and hearing so many ladies experience....not sure i will be able to take the stress or not.

D3 Blood test is to test for Follicle Stimulating Hormones

superfac is the down-stimulating hormone injections u need to inject urself w on D21 of ur menses to stop ur natural ovulation.

nuh uses superfac, kkh uses puregon (tis i not sure)

I have try for 9 years liao, in between got conceived naturally 2 time by misscarrige, last misscarriage is 3 years ago, fr there til now no news so doctor refer us to IVF

hope somone can help me wif this. If my last AF was 13/5, will it arrive promptly on 13/6 if the IVF procedure is not a success?

suprefact is the same as lucrin... it's hormone suppressing injections before u start on puregon which is the follicles stimulating hormone... both are different drugs..

eskimobaby, do you have any idea how long I need to jab with Lucrin? I am on BCP because I got irregular mense. then I started lucrin on day 16 and will be going back to kkh for blood test on day 14 of lucrin.

usually lucrin is for 14 days... then u'll do ur blood test.. if ur hormones are sufficiently suppressed, u'll start on puregon the next day.. if not u still continue with lucrin for another week... but even during puregon u'll still need to continue to inject lucrin but in lower dosage..
 
Nicole-I think not necessary as under IVF, we will be given progesterone support so AF may come later if it is BFN (after stopping the progesterone support). Of course some of them AF come when having progesterone support.
 
Yes u will still have af while on the supression drugs.. This af is to clear lining from the previous ovulation.. Dr says if no af.. Then must test for pregnancy..

As for puregon, it depends on individual on how many days.. Have to see how well u respond to the drug.. Some on 12 days.. Some on only 7 days..

Im on my 3rd day of puregon.. Just ate 3 egg whites.. Later must drink chicken ecessence..

Gals, when on puregon.. Drink one bottle everyday or alt day?

Im not drinking any milk.. But got drink soya bean milk.. Is i ok?
 
Baby79-Maybe I will join you and be your cycle buddy. I thin my AF will report..got some feeling..but I am on higher dosage so envy you only need to jab 200iu.

I think if you don't feel heaty you can continue to drink the every day as for saya bean milk maybe try to avoid as I read Saya is a rich source of phyto-oestrogens so have mild conrtraceptive properties...

Boon Boon is right. AF may not be coming when you are on progesterone support. My AF came 2 days after I stopped all support.
 
lingling22-I think anytime is fine. But not bee too late. Personally I think maybe morning till day time is the best ..
 
ya....today is the 4th day...this is my 1st cycle so I am not sure wat is the whole procedure...But I am on BCP as well and I heard that BCP will make your mense come on time on day 28-30. is it true?
 
meow, I find the lucrin self jab quite ok...its not very painful and not much side effect...but I heard the 2nd stage jab is very scary......alot of side effects
 
lingling22-I can't asnwer your q. You mean you have injected Lucrin for 4 days already?
I only know under normal long protocol, AF will report after few days of Lucrin injection. And the patient has to continue to inject lucrin until ultrosound scan and BT to seee if there are any follicular cysts and to measure oestrodiol level.

I was also on Pregnyl and did not dare to do HPT at home as I was afraid it won't give the accurate results since Pregnyl has HCG in it. As I could not take the wait, requested DR for earlier test. Did the BT d14 after 2-day ET. But some sisters (like Serene) are much more daring and still did the HPT 4-day after last pregnyl (if I remember correctly!)

Just enjoy the second week. It is really a dreadful week trying to read all these signals. very torturing! Try to watch some DVDs, read some magazines, play some computer games and post here!

I am better now. Going to Langkawi for a short trip this Thursday. Will be going for review meeting with Dr. in early July. then, will decide. Cheers

About BCP, it is supposed to make your AF more regular and have your menses 28-30 days after your last AF. But for my case, I waited and waited and after 10 days after my last pill, AF still did not show up. Instead, had to take some other medicine to induce my menses. But I was not taking lucrin. It was just to regulate my menses before starting IVF. So, if AF don't come on time, better check with Dr.
 
dream, do you mean that you did not have any lucrin while you still eating your bcp? which hospital are you going to? I am with Dr SF Loh, kkivf.

I was with Gleneagles. I guess different hospitals have different procedures so don't worry. Mine was short prtocole as well. So, went staight to puregon + lucrin after my AF reported.

Mostly bloatedness feelings. only had cramp once but most likely because I ate cold fruits. Also had constipation afer ET.

for puregon, it is difficult to predict the number of days. It depends on how you respond to the drugs. So, the number of days vary from person to person. For my case, I had 10 days of puregon.
 
Dear Boon,

I saw Dr Loh on Sat and will be going for a short protocol in Sep...Clomid and puregon injection then antagonist drug then ER and ET....will be within 2 weeks according to the nurse. Heard that you will be going for the short cycle too...is your protocol similar to mine?

Also, any difference between Puregon and Gonal-F? Has any of you ladies experience better result with one or the other? I have poor response to Puregon so just checking.

Went to buy the Brazil nuts and milk over the weekend. Got my nuts at Great world City Cold Storage $3.95 for 100g pack. I bought fresh milk as not too keen with powdered milk....is Ensure or Anmum (in a box) nicer? As for the eggs, we should discard the yolk rite? Can I take it hardboil? Stomach cannot take half boil eggs. Going to try the diet since going to try naturally till Sep...hoping for a miracle.

Keeping my fingers and toes cross for you. I know that it is boring but try to rest...hubby was just complaining that maybe my previous cycle failed bec I was moving around too much and working too hard (I was working from home)...too much stress.

Jude-Yes, I will be on short protocol. But only puregon le..no clomid. Why clomid with puregon?

As for Puregon and Gonal-F, they serve the same function. But Gonal-F is more ex compare to Puregon. It is really depend on individual. If you only tried once then it is hard to tell you are poor response to that one..eg I remember Develyn case, she said she was poor response to Puregon but the 2 cycle, the response was too well until OHSS ...

Did the doctor tell you how many iu will be given to you? BTW, how old are you? Sorry recently too forgetful..
 
Jude-sorry only answered your Q halfway. Thought finish liao. If you can't take half boil, it is ok. In fact, since we don't take the egg yolk it is good not to take half boil right so that you will feel full after eating 2 eggs...

I was drinking Ensure milk just now. I think the taste is ok. As i try to drink hot or warm water only so ensure milk is easy for me to make..

Diet and exercise are important too for fertility issue.

Thanks. I am also excited for you! I guess you will start any time from now! AF reported? Do you need for BT again on day 2? or Dr has already given you the medicine? My dosage was also high at 375 iu. I think due to our age, dosage is higher. Otherwise, try to have the injections in the evening (if you can) so that you can sleep afterwards! Puregon will really make you tired and sleepy...I had mine in the morning and I was a zombie at the office!

Thanks for your advice. I am 36+....and a high FSH of 10.

Not sure why include clomid but maybe bec seem I react better to clomid than puregon. will start on clomid on day 3 then puregon on day 5 onwards about 300 iu. Have gone thro two cycle with puregon with poor response. First cycle did not even have viable embryo for ET. Second cycle I only had 3 eggs retrieved and only 1 grade 2 embryo transferred.

Dr Loh started me with some multivitamin and I am waiting for a new drug DHEA (not available yet). I just made appointment to start my accpuncture with Dr Zou. Will be beefing up my exercise regime...yoga and gym and tennis weekly.

Forgot about the cold drink issue....will have to go get the powder milk, maybe strawberry or chocolate...don't like the plain ones.

Thanks for sharing your story. I was also on short protocole but only given puregon + suprefact. no clomid. I also have PCOS. Seems like I need to exercise to improve my health + egg quality!
