Thank you sunflower. Dunno why but my emotions are like roller coaster rides these few days.... not sure if it's the hormones acting up. I'll be starting stimulation sometime early May.

Thanks Baby for your reply. I've actually been on TCM for a few years now to improve my immunity and it did help my follicles to grow to optimum size for ovulation. Before that my follicles do not grow big enough.... not sure if any of you has that problem.
Kymmie, prior to our IVF attempts, we tried IUI (I think close to 4 times over a few years) despite the hospital's recommendaiton to head straight to IVF, cos we wanted to go for the cheaper option first. Back then the diagnosis was perhaps I wasn't ovulating although I was having my menses on the dot every month and the sperm prognosis was similar to that of your hubby's. No reason was given for the failure, except that perhaps my eggs were not good enough.
I dun see any harm in trying IUI if you really wish to now, just dun try too many times like we did as it's costly too. .... but on hind sight I think we should have gone straight to IVF, while I was still in my mid-30s, and if there was any problem w me, it would have been better for me to address it back then while I was younger and the chances would have been better, even if it's small.That's what Dr Loh said to me pertaining having a endometriosis surgery in when I was 35 instead of now.

Itjabi, I did my polyps op in Feb. 1 month before I started IVF.
Serene, I told Dr Loh that for thw whole IVF process, only the high dosage of puregon I cannot tahan. Too painful for me and he say no choice. If you can, try to exercise more frequently before you start your puregon injection.
WK Yoo, BT is a must when undergoing IVF. So not my choice to take or not. But I am fine with injection for BT as I don't find it painful. So far based on my existing results, the main problems I have now is 1 blocked tube & high FSH. The rest of my results seem fine as I am ovulating well with regular mense. At this stage, my mentality is I won't keep continuing with IVF if still no god news after maybe another 2-3 tries. Cos it is for me to take long leave, even for 1 week MC.
juju78, it really depends on individuals. Having baby may be my top few priorities now but not my top priority yet. Somemore I am the type who cannot tahan without a job. If have children, then quit job is fine. Time will be spent in taking care of the baby and it is worth it. But definitely a "no no" to quit job just to concentrate on IVF or baby planning. Cos I will never know when I will strike. Better to have a job to keep myself occupied
I believe you got tell your boss you are going for IVF right? I think if I were to tell my boss, he will understand too. But I am not comfortable letting my colleagues, including my boss know that I am going through IVF as there will be stress when the cycle failed. Everyone will keep asking one after another non-stop.. No point give myself unnecessary stress. Peace at work is the best *wink wink*

Hazel, so far for my previous visits to Dr LC Cheng at thomson, he mentioned that my follicles grow well to good sizes for ovulation. He also mentioned that the shape of my uterus is good, lining is good also.. So I thought only problem is my blocked tube. But now that I understand on FSH, I think I don't have many follicles last time during scanning. And I also don't know if my eggs are good or not also. Think difficult to know the quality of the eggs.

just came back from work at 1130pm jus now, wat a busy day today and somehow became a bit disorientated after a long long HL since 5/3..
and guess wat i had done sth in my workplace was i asked my colleagues to take blood for me, and i went to A&E dept to register my name in order to get a dr's order to order HCG BT for me.. reason is i wan to find out whether my hcg level had went down completely or not after the last friday drop.... and 1 hr later, the A&E dr went up and look for me and told me my hcg result is less than 25 liao which i do have a good relief...
so my next plan is to wait after my AF report tis month and start to embark lose weight program in May till august..

The one in Hougang also many young couples seeing her and my mil recommended say she is very gd with fertility, but me and hb find her very traditional thinking and not very open with ivf. She's quite nice and charges are much cheaper than Dr Zou just tat she dun do acupucture tats why i switch doc lor.

Altho i dun have blocked tube but my left tube is scarred cos 3yrs ago they did a incision on it to remove the foetus it it (ectopic pregnancy) and also with my serious endo condition and scarring tissue tats also one of the reason why dr loh recommended ivf as he finds that iui and so-iui is a waste of time and $$$.

Maybe you can try to take couple of mths of unpaid leaves? This may also be another alternative and will lessen your stress level on what excuse to give to your boss. However, it will also depend on the company.
For me, I've finally pick up my courage to inform my direct boss that I wanted to request for 1 yr unpaid leaves to try babies. Currently, pending for approval from HOD and HR.
I've failed IVF last mth and have made my 1st visit to Dr Zou yesterday night. I plan to tiao my body before trying again.

I've finally went to see Dr Zou yesterday with my hubby. According to her, I will never conceive natually or IUI. IVF is our only chance. She has also mentioned that i'm only 33 this yr and it is quite a rare case when i told her that my doc said that my eggs are aging and need to do IVF within these 2 yrs. If not, I will run out of eggs soon.
The acupuncture is different from what we did in Raffles Hospital. I've done about almost 1 hr acupunture (front & back).
I will go back again on Wed evening to do acupunture.

Hi babydremzy,
Yes, your menses will go abit haywire as the hormones is still in your body. It has not totally flush out yet. If you have been injecting the crinone gel and if it does not absorb properly during 2ww, you may also experience a lump of it coming out if you exert too much strength when u da pian.

eh, i only cry when i am sad/scare, not when i am happy... i am anxious b4 the scan, i scared the dr told me something no good... i think we will always be anxious / worried until we see the bb f2f cos IVF baby is more fragile and of course very precious!

Normally purgeon they can push max up to 2 weeks to increase the size of the eggs.. they will give normal dosage until the last 4 days they will boost up the level of purgeon. If the Doc as IVF side say cannot, you can ask them to seek Dr Loh's advise on the spot. You can choose to boost further if still within the 2 weeks frame. Normally I will ask them to seek Dr Loh's advise then decide. Cause the IVF side after 1 week, if your egg still about 13-15mm, they will ask you to abort.. that's what happen to my first cycle. My second cycle I insisted to ask Dr Loh and I continue and manage to take our 4 eggs.. give it a shot...
Now resting feeling quite weak. Seeing the TCM next week as menses stop liao...tio body back first then see Dr loh the following week to ask all I want to ask...

just to share, my gynae recommended us to go IVF straight and not IUI after 3-4 cycles of unsuccessful clomid because my left tube could not be unblocked tho my septum has been removed successfully + my hubby sperm quality not so good. she said usually if the problem lies only on one party, IUI will be recommended... for our case, it will be a waste of $$

After ur menses have ended u may consider taking 八珍 to "tio" ur body as it consists of 8 kinds of herbs such as dang gui etc. U can buy it from as Eu Yan Seng or neighbourhood medical halls. U can add an egg and maybe meat/chicken to brew together. It's suppose to be very gd as it helps to strengthen our body and makeup for all the blood loss.

But my friend changed to see the TCM at Hougang after she managed to conceive her 1st child as the TCM at Novena always super long wait. And she got pregnant 2 times after seeing TCM at hougang for few years liao to tiao her body. Now she got 3 children liao. I think hougang one is also good. My friend got ask me to consider seeing the hougang one also but I never try.
But my friend changed to see the TCM at Hougang after she managed to conceive her 1st child as the TCM at Novena always super long wait. And she got pregnant 2 times after seeing TCM at hougang for few years liao to tiao her body. Now she got 3 children liao. I think hougang one is also good. My friend got ask me to consider seeing the hougang one also but I never try.
Chris, I don't know how the hougang TCM works but my friend has been taking taking herbs for years with her. No accup done for her case. She conceived naturally after seeing these 2 TCM. Very lucky for her as gynae has confirmed that she is unable to conceive naturally. So sometimes I fel that TCM is good.. very confusing also.. I think really depends on individuals' baby luck.

Therefore, I guess it depends on case to case basis. You may want to find out with Dr what's went wrong in the IVF if the Dr is able to tell you. Then you may want to access from there how and when to embark on the next IVF.

NesNes, don't lose hope with all the -ve remarks. My friend also very upset when the gynae told her she is unable to conceive at all. But after seeing TCM for a few years, she got 3 children now. So keep your hope high.
I think staying away from work is good for baby making. At least no stress from work while trying. But I am not as courage as you. Although I thought of resigning my job to concentrate on baby making, but I don't have the courage to do so. I cannot imagine myself staying at home everyday, very bored and no income.

Initially, I don't have the courage too. I've been considering for about 2 weeks after the failed IVF late last mth. Same like you, I'm afraid that after resigning my job, there is no guarantee that I will conceive. No job no baby in the end. During 2ww, i felt so bored and can't keep still in bed. I've started moving around house after 2 days (ET) and feeling bored after 4th day. I feel heart pain for the lost of my income too. Need to change my lifestyle for this 1 yr if company approved as expenses will continue while income has stopped.
BTW, I've also told my boss yesterday only...suddenly dying to have babies thought that made me plick my courage to inform her of my request.
