I'm not very sure TCM can help with the block tubes. Previously I when to see this TCM at Marina Parade he told me if tube block there no way to unblock unless I do surgery. Maybe some TCM might have successful case ba.

I have the same problem as you. Both my tubes are block. My previous Gynae and Dr Tan HH suggested me to do Laps to unblock the tubes. I did my laps surgery last year dec. Dr Tan manage to unblock both tubes and ask me try natural for 3 months. 3 months pass and I'm still not pregnant. Did Ivf during July and not successful too. Will try again. Jia you!!

Ya, I went for TCS, they cant find both, so the Dr Yu Suling says likely its both blocked. Either unblock via some x ray procedure but she says no guarantee it will not fuse together again and based on age, I'm going 39 this yr, she says do IVF better. Guess if I try unblock n somehow fail or after that still cant conceive, I would missed the subsidy....so the apt to do counselling is in end Sep. I was thinking got any hope via TCM while waiting for IVF or not. Actually, I find it quite pointless to pay for Dr Yu, when all she does is see report and advice, shes not the one who did the TCS, so that doc just put in report cant find tubes, she just interpret as blocked. regret going sgh.

Did your doc told you how much chance with block tubes after doing IVF? I don't mean to make you sad. My doc did told me if I don't unblock my tubes the chances of doing Ivf is very low.

Hi,

Not sure if tcm can help unblock fallopian tubes. Probably unlikely, I guess. Probably need to go for lap. One of my best friends, she got 1 blocked tube, married for many year but then did not succeed in conceiving. She almost made up her mind to book to do first fresh cycle of IVF already last year (2014) after Chinese New Year, then went with her husband to Thailand or Bali (I cannot remember which one) for vacation, and miraculously, she conceived her daughter then. So if still got 1 blocked tubes, still there is hope. However, if there are 2, then I do not know.
 
the most important thing that I want to ask for those with experience, what are the do and don't (or must do and must not do) after embryo transfer?

my wife did her egg retrieval late last month and this month, she is ready to have embryo transfer. wish her and everyone of you here success and hope to hear good news soon!
 
Anyone here with low egg reserve for their age and able to conceive thru ivf? Just had a talk with my Dr.. N he gave me the option of using donor eggs as I have low egg reserve for my age..

She will see you once or every 3 weeks per month.. For me, my hubby and i are seeing her and cost abt 180 - 200..

Hi, I'm drinking Dr Zou ' s medicine too n I don't hv the constipation problem u mentioned. She did say their medication is a bit heaty cos it's very bu, so they actually added things to make us go toilet more regularly. I reacted to the medicine to nourish the eggs (before ovulation medicine ) n had to take half a pack or 1 pack each time instead of 2 packs.

Hi hi! Me! I've very low ovarian reserve and couldn't stimulate follicles. So each time I only get 3-4 follicles out of which only 2 eggs and 1 fertilized and transferred. I had my first IVF in 2009 and managed to conceive with 1 embryo transfer and delivered my gal in 2010. I started again the IVF journey in 2013 nov but couldn't get any follicles. I tried 4 times since 2013 nov but each time had to abort the cycle due to no follicles growth... Finally on my 5th try, I managed to get 4 follicles with 1 fertilized embryo and transferred. I was lucky again to get a BFP. Going to deliver my boy this nov.
So dun give up. Although it can be demoralizing to not seeing any follicles growth in each scan, I guess we have to keep trying. I've tried many variations of stimulation drugs and finally found that Elonva suits me and stimulated my follicles growth the best... So you have to keep trying too.
Donor eggs in spore is not easy to find. Drs always give this option to couples who had multiple failure of IVF but seriously I think it's easier said than done.

My hb did it during our first round of IUI and it wasn't the best experience for me. I guess he must be pretty upset that he can't reduce my sufferings. I feel there's no need for both of us to take on the 'pain' (physical pain on tummy for me and heartache for him).
So... i decided to take on the jabs on my own.

No, she didn't. so I no point try ivf? Dr Tan HH from KKH ? Full name Dr Tan Heng Hao? Shd I just make apt ask for second opinion from Dr Tan, since this Dr Yu didn't say anything and I didn't know about the link between block tubes and ivf....like pay so much but not informed by the doc, dunno pay for what, waste time waste money.

Get a second opinion. Dr Tan HH is from KKH. You have the X-ray with you right? Bring along. The chance will be higher after you unblock the tubes then go for Ivf. Don't give up!

no xray, I did tubal contrast sonogram, only a piece of paper that say the dr cant find the tubes...:( very upset....so I just call kkh ask for him right? no need refer from poly clinic...how long u waited to see him first time?

If i were u.. i will ask for hsg at a different hospital. Hsg is different from tcs although is similar in nature. Hsg also check for block tube. Only if u confirm block tubes then u are in a better position to decide ur next step
 
Done! made apt w Dr Tan 8 Sept. Yup realised HSG different from TCS, probably better to tell whether blocked tubes then TCS which is using ultrasound see. Hopefully, I get a clearer pic of what is wrong and what is the next steps. So much money spent even before starting anything! I calculated, already close to $1000 at SGH so far. TCS was $400+! Now see Dr Tan is going to be $132 for first appt.

Great! Maybe Dr Tan will suggest you to do HSG as they can see clearly. Dr Tan is under private rate. Good luck!

Hi tsf 0205, I dont know whether it works for me well for me or not as i really strike under her hands when doing this round of IVF but i had a miscarriage but im still quite confident with her meds la..

As for male inferility, my hubby also taking and there is a improvement too.

Alot of ladies told me that since i can get pregnant thru ivf now is to tackle on how to hold the pregnancy. Sometimes i feel so tired and want to give up as like obstacles keep coming on the way. Im preparing my body for the next final 3rd cycle which hopefully i can last thruout the 9 mths.
I cant imagine if the last cycle fails what am i going to do next...

In 2010 I removed left ovary dermoid cyst 4cm under dr loh. 2012 I got 3 blood cyst 2 cm each on right Ovary. 2014 before my 2nd ivf I removed one cyst at kkh by Dr tan HH. He said the other 2 cannot remove. 2nd ivf bfp but mc. In Dec 2014 I went for another lap to remove remaining 2 cysts at raffles hospital. 3rd ivf was this yr Apr bfp but mc.

Hi I going too, I fax it, got a success sent slip，I don't think they will reply as it jus said got first come first serve on seating.the registration time on actual day is 1pm.

Top up this reply, I jus opened my letter mailed from KKH, is a payment acknowledgment which means they have received my payment for the talk. See u all there on tat day.

Just to rant. I went to a similar talk by Thomson Fertility Centre a month ago. I won a fertility test package from TFC then but when I called to use it, their manager said I can only use if I want to do IVF with them. I am already a TFC patient but only for second opinion. Since they know I won't go for IVF treatment with them, they hesitate to let me do the test..:mad:

Why the other 2 Dr Tan dun remove for you? I also underwent 3 ops to remove blood cyst. The first one was 10cm. That time dun have keyhole surgery. Last 2 times is keyholes. It was really scary. I hate to be 'forced' to sleep.

Sorry to hear about your mc. Are you seeing any tcm now? Will you be going for ivf again?

Maybe you all can check out nuh got one dept specialised in taking care of preg women who difficult to hold their pregnancy? I heard my friend talk about it. Cos she mc 3 times. And found this dept at nuh. Finally she gave birth to her #1.

Ya I heard of it also. But my embryos are in kkh. Tats y on dilemma. They said different lab conditions are not optimal for embryo thawing. So I got scared. I am yet to hear a success story of sisters who transferred embryos anf succeeded. Dilemma and don't knw what to do.

@mesara, finish the embryos first in KKH, after tat then decide whether to go Nuh if really necessary, got tried Tcm?

Hi I aso taking Her med to regulate my hay wire Mense cycle n found to b earlier than usual,hope is the med n acupuncture had taken effect and prepare for my coming FET, don't give up n keep trying...

This dept is you preg liao then go see them. Not ivf. Maybe call up and see what they said. No harm. Find out more details.

I got friend mc 4 times in a row and finally have 4 kids after that. But she din go to this nuh dept.

Dun give up. As long as still got eggs must try.
