hi rostrum, prof didnt comment it cos my previous test was done at KKH and now this yr is done at NUH.. I checked both reports, both of them are very different (in numbers)

chocolate: what is ur FSH reading? how's u D5 scan today? good number of follicles?

chocolate when was ur 1st scan after lucrin? how come my is scheduled at day 18 and not day 14?

oh.. am not that scared of the needles though i hv low threshold for pain.. so injecting myself shld not be a problem..
 
U gals v good!!! Not scared of jabs..I m still tinking whether to pay extra for nearby GP to jab for me or not? Of cos tt will cost extra few hundred bucks thru out the IVF procedure...esp IVF itself already costs a bomb....guess shd ask dh to jab for me...get him involved better..so he noe wat is going on...

Tt is fast....bt I m doing wif NUH....and I dun tink nurses will inform us our BT results over the fone..I tink an appt wif the gynae is necessary...

Yah, i am scheduled to do natural FET in november. But when i went to Dr zou. She says i am not ovulating.. i am getting worried. Does anybody know whether i can change to chemical FET ?...... I really don't want to cancel my cycle.
 
rostrum: I am not sure if it is for the better, my estradiol levels in 2008 was 68 pmol/L and recently my levels have increased to 145pmol/L.. doubled! Report should be out within days...or if requested expedited, can be out within the same day.

Hazel: my fsh is 3.3 IU/L...reduced from 4.8 previously.
 
Hi Hazel, sorry I can't really help you with your questions here as I started on suprefact rather than lurcin. I was scheduled on D14 of 50iu of suprefact.

Hi rostrum, are you on 1st ivf attempt too? I think getting DH to help jab has pros and cons. I keep my DH away from seeing me do jabs as it makes me more stressed with him watching or even getting him to do it. I think it is best to do one time under nurse supervision, or at least get DH to be there with nurse to help you jab, especially if both of you are not familiar with needles.

rostrum: you can check with NUH to see if you can ask the nurses to jab for you daily.. but it will be troublesome for u cos u will need to travel to NUH everyday.. I know in KKH, the nurses can do it for you if u agree to travel to KKH every morning.. but again, this was before government grant was approved. Nowadays, KKH very busy.. so they might not want to help since resources are limited
 
Hi Bunny, I think I am a quiet patient. It didn't cross my mind to ask for readings!

I saw the scan screen, not very visible little pockets. That's why dosage increase I think. I've seen the sac-like pictures before on my own ovaries last round, so it is still a long way i think.
 
rostrum, my hubby is scared of needles!! i can prick myself when i test my blood sugar.. not a problem.. but hubby always freak out.

i think i jab myself better. let him jab me worse

bunny, i tot my FSH reading is good.. urs are so much better!
 
bunny, am starting lucrin at day 21. i asked the nurse why some start early at D16, was told it coz these patients also take oral medicine in addition to jabs.. so they start earlier at D16.
 
hi rostrum,

try to get your hubby to go with you during the collection of the jabs. the nurse will do a demo and your hubby can start the first jab for u under the nurse's guidance.
 
chocolate: maybe you can ask the nurse for the information the next time u have the scans... just a suggestion.. cos if u know that the follicles are smaller some ladies here take more chicken essences to improve the sizes... also from the scans, you will know estimated number of follicles during OR..

hi ladies, i feel horrible this morning.. i am guessing my OHSS is back after removing the bag to drain fluid.. the fluid is making me bloated again...

i read OHSS can last 8-12 weeks after a positive pregnancy..

i am feeling miserable

From wat I understand, different labs has different range of readings. So not to worry too much....Prof shd be
able to provide u wif more insight of the results and alert u if it is not satisfactory...

Yr FSH is pretty low...envy envy!!!

I cannot travel to NUH everyday for the jabs as I m working...I guess to do it myself or get the GPs to help cos
they are opened till nite time...Bt I still hope to get dh to do the job...hahahahahahaha...

Yes, this is going to be my very 1st attempt...my purpose of getting dh to help bcos I wan to get him involved and
not to let him hv the tinking tt this journey is v easy...I might sound calculative...bt I wan him to understand the
troubles and suffers tt I hv went thru and he will be more attentive and understanding....My dh is v forgetful one..so
must remind him constantly..

My queue is Feb10 so gotta wait till then. Any advice on when should I do bloodtest? Nearer Feb10 or should I do it earlier? I m thinking of going for ivf end of the yr but dun think there will be any slot..
 
hi judebabe, are you with kk? if yes, just go to see them as scheduled. with menses or not.the nurses will then let you know if you proceed with natural or artificial cycle. Dun worry.

As for Dr Zou, much as i appreciate the comforting conversation with her. i solely relied on kkivf during my fet round, just relaxed and bfp with triplets too.

For the ladies looking for alternatives to brazil nuts, you can try Blackmores pre-conception conceive well gold (multivitamins). It has selenium in it too. However, need to switch to pregnancy vitamins once you conceive.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words.....just wanted to let off some steam but feeling better now.

Now started to worry that my AF will start during the coming holidays and that I will miss my D2 test! That's me....always worry about this and that and give myself more stress...haiz. For KKIVF, is it true that we can get the test result in the afternoon if we test in the morning?

Thanks, I already have the habit to wear slippers at home as the aircon is on once I reach home (I cannot take the heat!!!) and the floor can be quite cold. Recently have started wearing socks to bed too.

Usually my BTT is quite accurate. If temp drops, my AF will be reporting soon... But I think I will stop taking once my IVF starts as it will give me additional stress.

I actually wanted to do my IVF wif KKH....partly the queue is next year Feb and partly of other reasons...tts y I switch to do my cycle wif NUH now...
I just went for my BT today...and the CD2/3 BT next week...Hmm...I wld tink tt do the BT nearer to the date wld be better as our hormones chgs every mth...Bt I understand the validity of the BT for KKH is 1 year..so they might ask u to it anytime...
For NUH is different, they wld prefer us to do it nearer to the start of cycle...

For my case, my AF will also report once bbt drop....bt I stop taking for many mths le...I find tt it is less stressful for me and I can slp better w/o worrying tt I hv to pop the thermometer into my mouth once I open my eyes...
Personally I tink a BT wld be more accurate than bbt....
Wat u need to do now is to relax and stop worrying....I m also like u....a worrisome..bt I hv tried to take things easier now especially when I m going to embark on the cycle soon..

Jude, blood test results are out within a few hrs at Kkivf. Yesterday, I did d2 test at 3pm, 5pm the nurse called me leow. Coz I asked her to follow my case for me. As I bought the Lucrin before the results are out!

Yesterday at Kkivf centre, it was hard warming to hear the nurses calling the patients to inform them abt the BT reSULTS. ALL pOSITIVE N MORE THAN 1000 HCG

Din noe tt CD20-22 test need to draw 4 tubes of my blood!!! OMG! I oni noe it when the nurse poke in the needle....and I still joke wif her...I need to replenish my blood by eating a lot of pork liver tonite...hahahahahaha....

Im embarking on fet this cycle.. Failed my fresh cycle in june.. May i know more on yr fet? U did fresh cycle but did not suceed so do fet? Yr triplets are non identical triplets meaning 3 embryos transferred all implanted? Cos my dr also gng to transfer 3 embryos for my fet since my fresh cycle with 2 trasferred did not make me preggy...

i'll be at kk at 8am... gd luck to both of us and hope we can proceed to stage 2 then...
