Yea... we are still seeing both TCM doc. In fact, we started IVF in Dec/Jan 07 but unfortunately have to terminate it halfway due to not responsing well to the stim jabs. So you see, life is such that we can't really plan so much; my HB is ready when I am not. Would like to start again in Mar/Apr 07. Hope that I will have better luck.

My gynea had suggested that I go thru SO-IUI but warned me of the possibility of multiple birth.

She said that in the event I want to terminate 1 of the bb (if its triplets), then she will recommend me to go overseas for this procedure as its not legal in Singapore yet.

Did any of your gynea mention about this to you?

Anyone succeed with SO-IUI and end up with twins or triplets?

Yr gynae is rite tt there is a risk of multiple birth for SO-IUI, my gynae told me tt too. If after med n injection u got too many follicles they may ask u to abort the whole process or convert to IVF. I ever did IUI wif 5 days clomid + 1 injection to trigger release of eggs, ended up wif abt 5 follicles, but at that time my previous gynae din warn me the risk of multiple preg and went ahead did IUI for me...when i think back now, in a way I'm relief no multiple preg...was ignorant last time thought that was normal IUI but actually similar to SO-IUI except no daily injections.

Did you conceive successfully with IUI?

My gynea said that if she finds that I over-ovulate (ie 4 or more follicles), then we'll have to abort the process and start again on next cycle, as its dangerous to continue on.

Since your current gynea highlighted the risk of multiple birth, then did he suggest what can you do if you end have having more than twins?

I have just done my HSG last weekend. Gynea wants me to consider carefully before embarking on the SO-IUI journey.

Mine is a male and female factor. How about you?
