Hi dear, can I check with you how's op? Eg staying with NICU and caring for the baby.
My baby is 5 months and so far just follow-up check ups. Prof Tan said next appointment in Aug and we will have to discuss and plan for the surgery.

My girl had the surgery in Aug. The surgeon is not Dr Nakao. But i met him in KKH and he also did see my girl during her stay after operation. Theres a 5yo girl that was at kkh as well, her surgeon was Dr Nakao. She had 3 surgeries under him. Spoke to Dr Nakao and hes very assuring and i would say understanding as well.

Hi, 1 of my twin boys is diagnosed with small VSD since birth but as e VSD is small, no medication or surgery is required other than annual review. Till now he is already 9 years old and since last year, doctor from KKH and pte specialist from Mt E started to offer option of surgery to prevent future heart valve complication.

Wanted to check if there are any mummies with children opted for surgery as similar age? If we were to opt for surgery, anything we need to take note? We are totally clueless and appreciate any advises or sharing

hi mummies, could you share hows your bb doing after vsd surgery? mine lo is 8w old now, detected vsd at birth. we are in nuh with dr chen ck, the pd cardio.
bb now is on tube feeding since week 5 due to v poor feeding...we are helping bb to gain weight to prepare for surgery..
we are yet to discuss the surgery coz dr is buying time for bb to grow, but high chance the surgery is required as the hole is large.
anyone could share how do u manage your work while waiting for surgery? ifc cant manage tube feeding and my husband do not consider helper/stranger staying with us.. so no maid no nanny for us.
how's the surgery recovery process and bb development post surgery?
