BA,
now when i bring my dd out no need pram or sling, etc. she can just walk with me kuai-kuai holding my hand. i really feel aft she turned 2YO got a big difference in her behaviour leh. no more terrible 2's at all and when we go out she will always listen to me, so it's been really easy and fun bringing her out.

today for eg, we went out with my mum, dad and sis to those household shops at Joo Chiat, cause my sis wanna buy plates, bowls, glasses, cups, utensils, etc for her new home. then the whole shop full of glass & ceramic items, so i kept telling my dd must walk slowly, cannot run, and CANNOT touch anything. so she was very well-behaved and listened to me. then everytime she saw my sis touching the plates or picking them up, she will shout at my sis " Don't touch! Wait break!" haha!! so funny!!

btw, my dd stopped taking naps for abt 3 wks already leh! cause everyday she wakes up ard 10am+, then when i get her to nap, she will nap from ard 3.30pm to 5pm, then at night she will only sleep ard 11pm+, sometimes almost at midnight! so 3 wks back, i tried not letting her nap, esp if she wakes up past 10am, and i find she can tahan very well, not cranky at all. then at 9pm i will get her ready for bed, spongebath her & feed her milk, then read 1-2bks, then by 9.30pm or latest 10pm she knock out liao!

we've been on this routine for abt 3 wks now and it's working great! now the only thing is i gotta think of new ways of entertaining her every afternoon lor, cause she is up from 10am+ all the way to 9pm. probably the best solution is to bring her out go kai-kai ard 4pm, then just nice in the evening hubby can pick us up and we go home for dinner.

btw, i am thinking of asking you to get for me 2pcs of airtight containers from Taiwan (for me to put salt & sugar, since i cook everyday). i remember seeing the pics here somewhere. let me go look for it and i will post it here soon.

actually i was planning to go HK too in March next yr for my dd's b'day, wanna go for 4 nights and stay all 4 nights at Disneyland. i checked all the prices already. airtix for all 3 of us by Jetstar will be S$1000 and if by SQ will be S$1300. then the hotel rm in Disneyland will be ard S$1000 also, but if my parents come with us they will share the cost of the room, so we pay only S$500 for the rm.

but hubby said dunno whether we can go next yr or not, cause end of this yr/early next yr we renovating our new place, so gotta fork out money for that (as far as possible he wanna pay cash in full, don't wanna take reno loan), then he said dunno got enough cash leftover to pay for holiday to HK or not. he said maybe it's better we go in 2009 instead. so sad....

pardon me to say this,Breadbox is bulky and cant stack in the suitcase as it will crack.I really dont think BA can lug back 5 of them.

And for each adult passenger,the airline only allow 20kg or if you are lucky,25kg.. she has a toddler along too that airline doesnt give any weight allowances for.So BA's 25kg would have to share among with her dd..

I would say maybe should put the priority on what items you want her to try lug back for you so she can really try her best to do so instead of coming back disappointing everyone.

Those boxers,containers and coasters are easy storage as she can dump into the suitcase but breadbox comes in a box,hard cover tissue box also cant press inside the suitcase,not to mention water dispenser...and I dont think anyone would want them if it cracked or break during the transit right?

I hope I dont sounded offensive but I feel its rather impossible mission for her and she might feel paisay when she comes back 1 breadbox for this mummy and none for the other one...

Don't think the coasters will cost > $5.50 based on my experience. Unless you prefer to ship them back. The only problem is you may not be able to find so many.

I agree with Kelly. Sometimes it may not be the weight problem. It's the bulkiness. I had this problem when I went Japan. I had my dad and my DH to help. But we got to bring along the stroller and one big diaper bag for the whole day. Sometimes after shopping at one place, we have to go back to the hotel to put our stuff b4 we can proceed to another place.

Our problem that time was we didn't have enough hands to carry our stuff our shopping stuff everyday, not the baggage allowance (cos we have 140kg). When we move in and out of train stations or going up and down stairs, it was really very troublesome as we had to remove all plastic bags that were hung to the stroller.

Of course, this problem will be solved if free delivery services are provided.

Thanks for the understanding.Cos I feel as we making friends here.BA would loves to do other mummies a favour too.Sharing her 'trip' by helping others get the dream loot but she has a toddler and would be more or less like a blind bat in taipei since her dh would be working.

And I just heard from my friend that the hotel BA staying is not directly in Taipei city so meaning she has to do a little more travel in and out with her dd..

But I m sure she will still do her best to lug easy items for the mommies.Just dont put hope too high up,as I have mentioned,those items are bulky.

The reason why I said so is I dont want those on her list to be disappointed.

I do agreed with problem for your taking 5 breadbox back. So ignore my order for the breadbox. If can, i still want the 2 air tight containers. However, if still bulky, then prority goes to your regular buddy k. Most important you must have an enjoyable trip back k.
