btw, i got a child meal tray almost identical to the one you posted above in BKK. found it at the household section of Tokyu Dept Store in Mahboonkrong. they had complete set, ie. tray, cups, bowls, lids for bowls, forks, spoons, soup spoons, chopsticks, etc. and had 3 different designs, but this design is the nicest, so i bought 2pcs each of tray, bowl, lid for bowl, & soup spoon.

too bad you don't have kids hor, cause if you have the Tokyu Dept Store carry the official Sanrio Hello Kitty range of clothing for girls. all VERY nice leh! i was drooling when i was there, but had to control myself, cause my dd got lots of clothes already. so in the end i just bought 1 pair of jeans and 2 tops for her.

i agree with shanshan also. i doubt you will be able to lug everything back with you, esp if they are bulky or heavy. cause you travelling by tigerair, and the baggage allowance is only 15kg per passenger, so that means you and hubby will get total of 30kg baggage allowance, which is not alot. hubby and i were already 7kg overweight, and that is after i REALLY controlled my spending leh. i had to resist the temptation of buying anything bulky/heavy, cause didn't want to pay too much excess baggage. i was also drooling over all the nice storage and picnic boxes at Central, but in the end didn't buy any. the only bulky item i bought was the dustbin, because it was so nice and my dd desperately needs a dustbin for her room. then when i packed, what i did was to put all the small items inside the dustbin, and put that dustbin in the luggage.

yes they have it at Tokyu Dept Store which is at Mahboonkrong. the household dept is on 4th floor, just where the supermarket is. they got 3 designs, but this one the nicest. i remember the price is less than S$10. very cheap and worth it. and it's VERY pretty! i like it alot!

Wah...Lani, so many things to see at MBK and central ah. U can remember which floor of MBK has what stuff? Any HK electrical items? Think acthia and me cheong these two places enough le. But she would want to go Tokyo dept store too cos got HK clothings for her gals. = )

Acthia, right hor? hehe....so our itenary would be Central, MBK and Tokyo within 8hrs! Wah...gg to be very challenging. We can only spend abt 2hrs plus at each place. I've checked Tiger airways. In Jul, only fly to has 5.88 tickets in the 0630 flight. For the nite flight it cost 19.90. So including taxes, one person is $143.87. Difference is ard $15. And I searched through whole month of Jul 07, there's only one day with such prices ie 18 Jul 07. It's a Wednesday. U confirm u can go? I can. If you want, I'll book today. = )

My trip to BKK is not confirmed yet cos till now my hubby still didn't tell my mum-in-law abt taking care of my DS for 3D2N. So see how....I'll fix my date on 11-13 May 07 so we can arrange to meet at BKK to do HK shopping together if can = )

surprisingly, i did not see any electrical items in BKK leh. i was looking out for a lamp also don't have. the sanrio corner in central is in the kids' dept, can't remember which floor, but you can't miss it lah.

ok, maybe tonight i take pics of the dustbin and all my HK loots and post here. it's different from the one they have at central, but i think the one at central also very very nice leh. central one is the step on kind, whereas mine is the flip top cover kind.

yes, when i was at central i saw alot of those storage boxes, all in different sizes. some items were already OOS, eg. the food warmer. and the wooden CD holder, CD file (the one msbrown bought) and HK A4 hard plastic folders all left last pc liao. the CD file that msbrown bought is VERY nice, so i took the last display pc, altho it was a bit dirty. go home can clean liao! they had a VERY nice wooden CD holder, but the front badly scratched, so i didn't get, altho it was last pc. very chealp leh, only ard S$12.

excess baggage airasia charged me 140baht per kg. i paid 980baht in excess baggage, so that's prob ard S$40.
