i think for the pitcher can't put hot water that's just been freshly boiled. maybe what you can do is allow the boiled water to cool down a bit until warm, then can transfer to pitcher. that's what i do lor.

Such pitchers can't take hot boiling water, unless ceramic. For plastic items, also not advisable.

I've got a similar from KK before and it can hold hot water of about 60-degrees. My maid will pour in the hot water from the electric thermos straight into it. But my electric thermos I always set it at 60 degrees only. But before I did this, I kind of "tempered" it. A trick I learned whilst working in the hotel. We will dung the new glass pitchers into 1 bucket cold water, then 1 bucket hot water. Repeat several times over. hot.. cold.. hot.. cold.. Dunno.. but this method seems to "toughen" the glass up. So I do this for most of my stuffs (plastics & glass) now too. hahahahah...
