Heatherwhite, seems like you will ovulate late this month. CD16 for you today? Just curious, on average, which CD will you normally ovulate? I presume you are not taking BBT this month yeah?

Im 4DPO today and had a dip in my BBT.

Yes, today is my CD16 already. On average I will ovulate on CD16. I have not been plotting the temperature chart, but I do measure my BBT every morning. It is becoming a habit. My temperature for this cycle very odd. No trend, fluctuate up and down. I remember yesterday was 36.4 and today is 36.6C. Few days ago was 36.7. Sign, this is the trend I got this month.

Do you measure your LH this few days? Maybe you are like me, ovulating late? If following the size of the follicle, I will only ovulate on my CD 19 or 20!
 
Heatherwhite, maybe I should test opk again tonight. scary sia.. thinking that there's a possibility of ovulating late even though all the other trends seem to coincide with ovulation.. I think I better BD tonight.. My last BD was on Fri night! Had a huge fight with hubby over the weekend :p

Have you also been testing with opk these days? I think for my next cycle, better just alternate BD until 7 days before AF..
 
Heatherwhite, maybe at your next visit to Prof Wong, you can ask what size must the follicle be in order to proceed with IUI. Just to make sure that your $$ is worth the visit. And also you wanted to ask about ur DH's army rite? About after the washing etc, is it still worth to do the IUI etc. You can jot down your questions before seeing him so you won't forget when you see him.
 
My cousin who has 2 babies say OPK not so accurate. How she found out was she BD alternate days from CD10 until CD18 but still check OPK.

Both her babies' conception date was not according to the 'so called' O day as per OPK. I did not ask her the details though.

And I read that many research shows many women conceive during CD10-14days before O day. Alot of my friends says their conception date (as per gynae) is on CD10 or CD11.

Yes, I did test OPK this month too. I got fairly dark line on CD13, and my line become sl.lighter on CD14, then same intensity of line on CD15. I will continue measure to see what happen. This cycle is totally in a mess. sign...

Aiyo, not that I didn't prepare my questions. I personally feel that he is not very patient to listen to my questions. Actually, my hb feels the same too. He always in a rush, this make me feel sian to stop him from rushing also. haha... But he at least got sit down today, not like last Thursday! Straight away wanted to leave the room after he scanned me.
He had told me before, the follicle needs to grow to the size of 18mm before we can proceed. So hopefully my follicle can reach 18mm by Wed, then no need to keep scanning and scanning. Each scan cost me $90.95 (just for 2 mins?!).

To BD on CD11 was my mother's formula. But I think it don't works for me. I have tried her method to start BD on CD 11 then alternate till CD 16. No use leh. hehe... Maybe need to extend the window till CD20! Aiya, I think is the luck that's count.
The more we discuss, the more we find OPK not accurate. Haha! Ok lar, let's don't depend too much on those ovulation kits. We much try to BD more! Jia you gals!
 
Heatherwhite, your mummy is so 'hippy'! She even gave you tips on when to start BD-ing. heheh.. My MIL told me the 'unsafe' period is middle of the cycle but I told her, that period is considered as 'fertile' to me, not 'unsafe'.. hehehe.. Every cycle waiting for those few days..

yeah yeah.. i agree that the more we discuss, the more inaccurate all these methods become. Next cycle, let's remind one another to just BD alternate days!

Hehe... Yeah, my mother actually think the most fertile day is CD11! Cannot BD later then CD11, will miss the precious chance. haha... how I hope this is that simple as what she think.

Sign... Yesterday I was having very bad headache after woke up from my afternoon nap. I think probably is due to the hot weather. Then it was so bad that I feel very weak and feel nausea during my dinner time. I hope my MIL don't mistaken and think I am preggie. Sign... Even my HB is joking with me saying I look like having morning sickness! Sign... I really hope they don't mistaken anything!

wanted PM u instead but u didnt turn on the setting...hehe ya going straight into SO IUI..dun wan waste time on clomid as it is slower in stimulating follicles...since we are claiming so adopt a higher chance procedure

My doctor told me that the successful rate for SOIUI is same as IUI so no point trying. My doctor advised me to go directly to IVF instead of SOIUI.
 
tink all different doctors has different thoughts..wil just try one SO IUI..if fail,will give up ttc n blessed tat i have one kid whom i considered my miracle boy

You are brave to try SO-IUI straight away, cos need to self-jab. And I think the cost is definitely higher. But since you have no problem, why not try on natural IUI first? After all, what we need for the major ingredients are only one egg and one sperm. hehe...
But anyway, go with what your heart tells you. If you and your HB think this is the best method for you both to try then we will give you all our supports! Jia you!

Heatherwhite, do update us after your scan with Prof Wong today. I hope you can start BD-ing this weekend. Im 6dpo with no symptoms and no fantastic BBT but still keeping my fingers/toes crossed. Good luck to all of us here!

My follicle finally growth till 18.5mm this morning. I need to go back NUH clinic later to have the HCG injection. And proceed with the IUI on this Friday. But Prof. Wong will not be around on Friday. I will put under another doctor's care.

Heatherwhite, that's good news! I think you might be better off under another doctor since Prof Wong always looked so rush. You might feel more at ease with another doctor. Just one question, how would the doc know that you would O this Fri? Just from the size?

Ya, this is what I tell myself, maybe I have better luck with another doctor. In fact, I was a bit disappointed to know Prof. Wong will not be around tomorrow. This indeed the purpose of seeing under him.
I was given HCG jab yesterday evening. I think this jab is suppose to help my follicle to release the egg. So I guess they are estimating from this jab effect on the ovulating part.
HB and I actually has a question on this IUI. We were thinking if HB sperm's volume and morphology no good, can he store his good armies in advance, then accumulate his troop for the IUI? haha... Cos this will ensure his army volume is enough and is in good quality. Don't know got ppl doing this or not hor?

Good luck and all the best to you. Remember when I was going thru IVF, HB frozen his sperms in advance just in case on the actual day for the embroys transplant the qualilty is not so good. At least there is a backup.

Can the spermies combine and mix? The fresh one and the freeze one? Haha... Cos HB is worry his spermies no good, he was saying we should store his armies, then combine the power. haha... But I think since the doctor never suggest this method, I guess this should not be workable.

Just saw Dr. Tan on Tues. been with him for almost 7 months, still no result yet. Thinking to go for 1 more round of IVF but scared to go thru all the jabs again. Sign...

You visited Dr. Tan on Tuesday what time? I also went back on Tuesday! (and I left my yellow umbella in his clinic. haha!)
I am suppose to go back again today, but don't have time. Maybe will go tmr to get my post O medication.

When I left the clinic, it was still there. By now, mostly likely gone already. Maybe we meet each other there but don't know in person. Remember I also ever left my umbrella at Prof. Wong's Clinic, after 1 month it was still there.

Went with my HB. Have appt. 2molo also. After your IUI, u still can take the Post o. Med.???

girls..had my cd2 scan yest...not as gross as i tot so lah..hehe but did drip a bit on floor .lining was good,no cysts.the nurse jab me yest to demo to hub..and tis am hub turned doctor for the first time n jab me..just ant bites nia...so wil continue jab til scanning...happy for myself tat i have taken the first step..really shd have taken this step much much earlier!

Just sent my Hb sperm to the lab for washing this morning. Dont looks good on the volume. Now waiting for 10.30am to proceed w my iui. Feeling nervous, don't know how is it like. Somemore under new doctor. Yr gynea suggest yr Hb to freeze his sperm? How much is the cost? Can tell me more on this?

I am back from my IUI. Given a day MC to rest at home now. I think I was too nervous this morning, felt very tired after the IUI. Came back home and take a nap just now. Hehe...
Purplelace, the IUI was not painful as what I anticipated! In fact I don't feel any pain at all. The whole IUI process is very fast only takes about 5-10 min, and was done and I can left the clinic straight away.
And here come my long 2ww, PhyLee, this cycle we are far apart from each other. You are at 8dpo today already right? Taking Dr. Tan Post O? HB will be taking my Post O medicine for me later. Will start taking the medicine tmr. My BBT this morning is high at 37C already. I think my heaty body's heat is coming up.

Did you do a last scan of follicles today before you did IUI? Have you ovulated? Your BBT this morning seems like you have already ovulated?

Hubby and I went to see Dr Cheng at TMC today. We have made the decision to embark on ivf. Can I check whether anyone is on ivf here? Is it advisable to continue with TCM while going through ivf?

Yes, I did a scan before my IUI. The scan shows I have ovulated. I think probably last nite, cos I did feel some pain on my left ovary. Hope the timing is not too late. :/
Dr. Chew was good, at least he is more gentle with the v-scan. Actually, I don't dare to put too much hope on this cycle, really scare the disappointment later on. But I will stay positive lar. Leave it to fate, I hope I can 'kan kai' if my baby still not ready to join us yet.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you too! Hope a BFP there.

You are so brave to proceed with IVF! Will jia you for you! You can actually talk to both Dr. Cheng and Dr. Tan to see if it is ok to continue with TCM while doing IVF. I think acupuncture should be ok, but maybe not Dr. Tan chinese medication?

Thanks. Maybe I will talk to my gynea to work on the freezing of sperms if this cycle failed. Keep my fingers crossed. How's your jabs? Any side effect? When you need to go for v-scan check up?

I am taking Dr. Tan's ATY for this 2ww. Really hope can 'zhong xi he ping' and get positive results. Sigh... HB is on reservist for these 2 weeks too. We should know the result when he is back. haha... Hope this 2ww can pass faster.

just went for cd6 scan yest.ald small follicles coming out..3 appear to be bigger.. the purgeon jab is so wonderful ah...pray those bigger ones wil continue grow bigger...n those smaller ones...hmm....

no side effect for my jab...just some blue black cos hub is mongolian doctor haha

Wat is yr jab dosage? Yes, hope the 3 follicles will continue to grow big big. The rest remain small. Cos I heard we cannot have too many follicles in a cycle to prevent multiple pregnancy. Hope u have a smooth smooth process ahead.

hub went to freeze his sperms 3weeks before my CD2 scan..so CARE will freeze his sperms until IUI then thaw.. but it has to depend on where u do the IUI some hospitals they dun practise so better check wif them..tink freezing is to be on safe side.in case hub's soldiers not so well on actual IUI day bah

Happy to know both you and HB are ready for your next step. But there is still hope if AF haven report to you.
Er, if I were you. I will ask myself if I would like to seek second opinion on your current condition. If not, just go back to your current gynea to listen to what she/he has to suggest to you. If you feel like seeking second opinion, then you must do a search on which doctor you would like to see. The location is my concern tt time cos I know I need to make frequent visit for the tests or scannings cos I am planning to embark on IUI treatment. Do prepare yourself to re-do some of the tests if it was done some times ago too. In other words, if you seek new doctor, testes and monitoring may be needed before proceeding with any treatments. Discuss again with your HB and go with the way which both of you feel most comfortable with.

Good to do some research before you decide on who to see. As for whether I will recommend you to NUH or not ah. Hehe... Seriously, I don't know how to answer you appropriately... Yes and no? Okok... Maybe this is my comments why I chosen Prof. PC.Wong from NUH.

Firstly, I am really zooming in for location. This is my first consideration. As I know we need to travel to see the doctor very often. So to me, best is to choose somewhere which is most convenience for me. Previously, I was with TMC. I find it very inconvenience for me to go for review. It was quite far, and I need to apply half day leave, for the travel and waiting time. Therefore, I want to choose a convenience location, which will save you a lots of time and energy. Hehe... agree?

So NUH is my best choice, and I start looking for good fertility doctors in there. And apparently, Prof. Wong (head of the fertility department) is the best choice, and few of the forum friends are with him too. He is famous for IVF actually. Hehe... can see my intention? hehe... But touch wood lar, I hope I will get bfp before going into IVF.

Prof. PC Wong charges is like private, unless you want to go for other NUH doctors with referral letter. I heard the cost are quite different. Something about Prof. Wong, he is really a very experience doctor, straight to the point and with no nonsense. He really focus on the objectives. For instance, if you see him for follicle scanning, he will just comment on your follicle size. Haha... There is good and bad lar. I do find quite hard to ask him questions, cos he always seems very busy to me. But I believe those he don't mention to you is not important too. And I heard he will not let his patient on ovulation drug if you are able to ovulate on your own. So I was under natural IUI cycle with him. Good point is your body will not disturbs by those ovulation drug. But some other gynea believe more follicles = more chance for the sperm to target. A lots of saying actually. Initially, I was also doubtful on the successful rate for natural IUI. But now... Hehe...I choose to believe in only one thing! And that's fate! If meant to be yours it will be yours, just do our best will do!
