So based on monkeyzai and yours, need to go for scan on CD1 & CD 13 and the transfer will be done on CD 20. Thanks, the timeline will be helpful for my planning.
Mind sharing what are your meds for tww? I'm thinking of asking for progesterone jabs instead of pills but not sure if he will allow. I find it difficult and inconvenient to insert the pills at workplace. Any suggestions?

If I remember correctly, my fresh cycle cost me abt $18 to $20k. One thing abt TFC billing is they are quite disorganized, always tell me forget to charge this or that the last round and made me pay weeks after. By then I can't remember clearly too if I had paid for the meds on my previous visit or not. Think it happened at least 4 times to me during my last fresh.

Mine is medicated FET. For me I didnt do a scan on CD1 cause doc already prescribed me with the medication ahead. Because I didn't get to proceed with the transfer right after ER due to OHSS. So I have my meds ready and I can start whenever I am ready for the FET. I actually rested for 2 cycles before I decided to start on the FET meds.
I have been on Progynova since CD3.. then after my consultation on CD13 doc prescribed additional meds.. Utrageston and cardiprin
Omg! But I heard very good review w SF Loh. People always sat with SF - it's a matter of time! So dear sista, Jia you!

I only went on scan at CD 13, intralipid infusion on CD14 and transfer will be on CD17 as my lining has hit 10.5 on CD 13.
During my previous cycle, I inserted pills during tww and only had progestrone jabs after bfp. Progesterone jabs are really painful though.

Very sorry to hear about your losses. Have you considered TCM to 安胎？can pm me if you need recommendation as I am seeing one now and I think he is good.
As for Dr Loh, I think it's good that he referred you to another specialist who might be able to follow up and help you further. I am sure he has exhausted the options to help.
I previously saw a specialist who didn't put me through the proper tests as she was not an expert in that area and I feel indirectly resulted in my loss.
If you have not tried TCM, I really feel you can consider. But do see Dr Mahesh as Dr Loh had suggested, to find out the problem. Only by knowing the problem, we can have a solution to it.

I spend abt 18k too. Although he has a ivf package, there are a lot of items not part of package eg most medication and jabs.

I think it really depends on the medicine dosage that you need and the number of eggs extracted.
Dr Loh basic IVF package is around $8k plus. But I ended up spending $18k because he extracted too many eggs from me and I had to pay a lot extra for the extra eggs extracted. If I am not wrong, his package only covers up to 15 eggs extracted.
I really didn't expect to spend so much because the additional cost for the eggs collection and ICSI came after my ER and since I didn't spend much on the injections, I thought I could spend max $12k on the entire IVF procedure.

It can range from 13 to 16k depending on medications. U can use Medisave but not govt grant.

i was with dr loh in 2014.
his package not cheap but he has good reviews.
his package was $800 excluding his supplements.
he help me to deliver and not cheap too. if i remember correctly his fees are $2000++. excluding stay at hospital.
he is man of few words because waiting time at his clinic is long. maybe at least 1 hour.
i will say his stitching is good. i gave birth naturally but still need to stitch up a little.
i dont need pain killers when i am home from delivery.
i also just had minor surgery done with him at thomson medical. in dec2016. the day after the surgery i went back home by myself. i live in the west.

He charge reasonably for consultation n scanning for a Pte senior dr. Stiching skill very good n he is also an experience surgeon in surgery for woman. Delivery he is one of the dr who is very experience in delivering twin n triplets.

Am planning to do IUI as we've been TTC for quite some time. But never done any checks before so not sure what's the issue.
I see a lot of good reviews for Dr. Loh =)
Prior to deciding which treatment suits us best, there's all the blood test, scan, sperm analysis etc .. anyone can kindly provide the breakdown for all these cost? As well as the cost for IUI too?
By the way, are all these claimable? I'm pretty confused as I read on some sites saying only IVF is claimable and some saying IUI is also claimable.
I wanted to go to Dr. Wendy Teo from Mount E Novena but couldn't find much review for infertility though but I know her charges are expensive and IUI not medisave claimable.

Hello qvalst,
I consulted Dr Loh few days back and he proposed me to try SO-IUI. I was informed by the nurses the total cost est is 2-3k. Hope this helps.

Anybody treated by Dr Loh with the fallopian tube issue and got pregnant?
Ivf is trial and error. Usually first cycle will give dr an idea of how well u respond to the med n subsequently adjust to improve better. No harm going for another dr but do bring your medical result. I find dr Loh a very good and experience dr.
Ya hence I wonder if the problem is with me.. demoralized that I failed twice under him .

i am currently with Dr SF Loh.
seeking help from him because i am not able to get pregnant with no2.
we tried for almost 1 year before going to him.
then he recommended me to go remove my cysts, which i did in Dec last year.
now coming to the 7th month after removing my cysts so we visited him again today to say it's still not successful.
during our consultation today, he forgot i had surgery with him (lol?)
then he said we should continue to try naturally then visit him again 2 months later if still no news.
($200+ gone lol)
at this moment he seems to be confident that we can strike naturally.
he is also more concern about my fertility status because he did not check my hubby so far.
he said if my period comes next month, i should do a check on my hormones.
but hubby was curious about himself so he asked if his sperm quality would affect.
then dr loh said then let's so SA
(just by that question? lol)

Personally I don't have positive experience with Dr Loh SF. I was a patient of his. However, I do have immune related issues which caused me to keep on miscarrying before 8th week mark.
I would say Dr Loh did not have professional ethics, that is only my opinion. During my last pregnancy back in May 2015, when I had vaginal bleeding at 1 a.m. and went to Thomson Medical Centre their 24 hours clinic, their nurse called him, and guessed what he told the nurse. Just gave me Progesterone injection and he would see me the next day.
Then when I saw him the next day, he was like, I always liked to scare him and my hubby with my pregnancies (I was pregnant a few times before but never carried to full-term) as if it was my fault.
Then after multiple miscarriages when my hubby asked him how, he encouraged us to go for surrogacy in India. My hubby asked him if that is legal, to which he replied: "Well, if you shoot a gun in the person in charge of the surrogacy agency".
Luckily I managed to get help from Prof Choolani Mahesh through another mummy who got similar issue as me in this forum, and I am really glad of that.
Now still taking a break from ttc, as my only biological mum (my dad passed away 10 years ago) unexpectedly passed away in end of May last year.

Through Prof Choolani Mahesh, I found out that I had natural killer cell issues and a bit of sticky blood.
I was TTC my 2nd one for many years before I thought of IVF. I went to SF Loh after reading many success stories about him. After all he was head of KK IVF before going to TFC.
But my impression of him is he is an Ah Beng. If you don't mind his mannerisms and sarcasm and want results, then just to bear with it. He can say things like sperm quality KNS. Very frank but unprofessional way of phrasing. So just take what he says with a pinch of salt or humour.
After a fresh and frozen transfer, I finally conceived and am now in my 14th week. But during the early weeks, when I had spotting, I called the clinic, they just told me to go down for a hormone jab to stabilize the pregnancy. It was the nurse who administered it and I didn't even get to see Dr Loh. Anyway also need to pay to see him and he is usually very quick to wave you off. So I just took it as it was an prayed. Finally when everything stabilized, I immediately switched back to my original gynae as she is more caring and sensitive.
So in summary, Dr Loh is effective and did the transfer well, relatively painless as compared to what I read about some other people's experience. But just have to be able to withstand his kind of 'jokes' and way of speaking.

ironically, i do not have any other doctors in mind yet.
because my friends told me doctors have high IQ so it's not surprising that their EQ is...
my friends did recommend me another specialist but they told me to beware because she is cold as ice
they even say maybe all the botox etc she can't smile

1. If my current gynae is under TMC, do I need to get referred by her or can I call Thomson Fertility Centre straight to make appt? My current gynae's stance is we should still try naturally but I would like to be more proactive because we have tried for more than a year and I'm coming to 34, so thinking of getting a 2nd opinion.
2. Any discount if already seeing gynae under TMC?
3. Can we go back to our usual gynae after getting preggy or do we need to stick to Dr Loh for him to monitor? Hubby prefers a female gynae to care for me. any recom for female doc to do IUI, if not Dr Loh?
4. How are his IUI's rate of success, mostly positive stories here?

Yes u can go back to your own gynae. It's your choice. However if high risk or multiple pregnancy best to stick with dr Loh.
You can choose dr Marianne his partner in the clinic.
Iui n ivf have success n failure stories. Some ppl are lucky to strike at first try others take a few tries to succeed. U need to be mentally strong when embark on this journey. Dr Loh is a good and experience dr.
U need chemistry with the dr u choose so go for consultation before decide.
