Snowhite, like BabyCupid, I also emailed to Dr. Wong. She replies quite promptly actually. I have already given birth in July and had really enjoyed have her as my gynae. Will definitely go to her again for my second pregnancy.
 
yes, she's at ACJ women's clinic at TMC. I just visited her on Tues.

Hi ladies
I'm with Dr Wong as well and in me 22nd week..just need some advise on whether we need to book the doctor for our delivery, when we need to pay, when we need to book delivery room..etc...
I'm not sure what else I need to do at this point in time as I have done my detailed scan and signed up for antenatal class at TMC.
 
Hi sweetpea, i dun think we need to book the doctor cos when we sign up the package it means that automatically is that doctor delivering for us. As for the room, they will book for u when the time comes. They just booked for me this tuesday when i visited Dr wong. I'm at 29wks now.
 
what package? delivery? should be on that day is it? they didn't mention anything, to what i know is pay deposit on that day ($600) then they will send the bill to u (the remainings). the cost depends on how many bedded room u choose and natural birth,w or w/o epidural etc.
 
Cherish, ACJ does not conduct detailed scan. You have to do it at TMC.

Sweetpea/bebeyan, my hubby paid the $600 deposit when I was admitted to TMC for delivery.

If you are with Dr Wong then she will be the one doing delivery for you unless she is out of town. No need to book delivery room as that will be given when you are in labour.
Dr Wong will check with you how many bedder you want later..at 3rd trimester.ACJ will do the booking.
 
Cherish, are u referring to cost of hosp bills? U can always get it from the hosp where u wld be delivering. They do put it up on their websites.
 
Anyone's appointment normally set on weekend? How's the crowd like? i went twice on weekday according to schedule appt, have to wait around 15mins. Next visit schedule on weekend, hopefully waiting time will not be long...
 
Bel, I tried weekend appt before. I waited for around 30mins as there's alot of patients. So it depends on your luck...if the patients before you ask alot of questions then you have to wait longer.
 
Bebe, mid wife means the nurses at the observation room. Yes, only bottom part. Will shave 1st then later insert enema and ask you go toilet.
Yes, natural birth at TMC.

Btw, how long do u all wait on weekdays vs weekends?

My weekday appts range from 15mins to 1 hr.
 
Ellysia, I usually go on weekdays as I know weekends very crowded. Usually its 15mins to 30mins.

going for my 28th week check on 12 dec. by the time, the bb should have hit 1kg rite?

Haha my original EDD was also 1 Mar, then moved to 26 Feb. I should be 27 weeks today. Dunno how much baby weighs now. My next visit is 10 Dec by then should be 28 weeks 6 days.

my gynae is also Jocelyn. EDD is also 1Apr and brought forward to 31Mar.

So its only after 33 weeks then twice check ups monthly... Did u all sign up for ACJ package?
The prices has increased.

oh so good. I signed up at my 20th week as my Oscars test tat time show me at risky side of having a Down's bb. So i went for Amnio and waited 2 more weeks for result. tats y didn't sign up at 12th week, she also understands...

Having a bb is not cheap man.. Anyone know the updated rough total cost now for delivering at TMC (Mother + baby), stay at 2 bedded or 1 bedded room?

hi ladies,

wondering if dr.wong ask you if you have any preference for pd/anaesthetists? i just went for my checkup, she gave me admission letter...but i only realise later that in the letter have the name for pd/anaesthetists...i want to change for both coz already got recommendation from my friend...dunno if she's willing to arrange for my special request or not...
