We are so happy to have BFP during our pregnancy test. And now we just had our checkup with Dr Charles and it is confirmed that we are pregnant with our first cycle with him. Been to a lot of doctor and still cant believe we got it on our first try.

In 2012, I got pregnant on my 1st try on Plan A with Dr Charles Lim, but it ended up ectopic and we parted ways on an ugly note.
Yup, maybe you can consider 2nd opinion, like Tan Heng Hao from KKH or Loh Seong Feei from TMC.

I’m exploring Dr Roland Chieng. But have not had my first visit with him yet.
Anyway, I heard from his nurses that Dr Charles is retiring soon. No?

^ I think he will retire soon.. He told us that he is supposed to retire last July but since a lot of request he just extended his service..
How many failed trials did you have on plan A? Maybe you can consider plan B(IUI)?

I suggest if you want to go for IUI, I rather you head straight to IVF. Chances of success are higher.
But please, before you do anything, please get a clear-all regarding your womb and Fallopian tubes.

Can I check how is your experience with Dr Roland Chieng? I've heard good things about him. I went to see Dr Charles because 2 of my friends managed to conceive naturally under Plan A (metformin, duinum and injections) with him... So they recommended him to me. Hope you will have BFP soon too! perseverehard

Is anyone seeing Dr Charles Lim now too? I've seen Dr Joycelyn Wong and Dr Arthur Tseng previously, but none of them diagnosed me with PCO/PCOS... Dr Charles Lim diagnosed me with PCO based on my ultrasound scan results and my blood test results that showed high anti mullerian hormone... Anyone has similar experience too? I just started Metformin this week (Dr Lim prescribed this to improve my egg quality and he said good to keep eating during first trimester to prevent MC in first trimester too) and so far no side effects yet. Seems like almost all the patients who go to Charles Lim are given metformin. I was once his patient.Is anyone seeing Dr Charles Lim now too? I see, did metformin work for you? I've been TTC for 7 months now. Not sure if so far no success is due to PCO... Thinking of seeking a second opinion just to be safe...

I succeeded on his first try on Package A, I assumed his method works, but I ended up with an ectopic pregnancy because there was no initial scans on the tubes etc. The whole affair ended up messy and we nearly had to call in MOH for intervention.Thanks for the reply!

He is very assuring and you'll definitely be in good hands.

I did 4 rounds of plan A. Afterwhich, i did Plan B twice with him last year, costed me like $2.3-2.5K each round. Did not work for me
Would have spent more than $10K for the 6 rounds above with all the meds, vitamins and blood tests, though I did do a lot of blood tests externally in KL to save on that
However, i realise his scanning fee has increased recently, so might be slightly higher...
Hi, may I know if he’s the one who suggested you to Change from plan A to plan B or you are the one who asked for it? Currently at plan 2nd round .

Nope, I went elsewhere for IVF...
I asked to switch to Plan B since A was not working...then realised A or B makes not much difference
Hi ladies, pls do check your bills/invoices to make sure the nurse who issue them did not anyhow write and overcharge.
My bill was overcharge $175. For consultation, instead of $100, she wrote $150 which she overwrite on top of $100. And ultrasound scan suppose to be $25 and she wrote $75 then same as above. And there’s an amount of $75 which she charge me extra for the injection.
I usually don’t look at the bills as she always gives the invoice our next visit. This time round, my bill was close to $700 and start asking why on the consultation as ultrasound that i spotted suspicious. And she couldn’t give me a good reason on why she did that but just keep apologizing.
Was quite disappointing with Dr as he ask me what do I wanna do since she already apologized and refunded me the $? And he will decide what to do with her as she is his staff. Am not very satisfied with the way he conclude.
Anyway pls do check the invoices and ask them clearly on the charges ya.

I just graduated from Dr Lim! We did not regret our decision going to him a yr ago.
I remembered our first visit, I knew we can trust him and the chemistry is there.
In my opinion he is a patient and gentle fatherly figure Dr. He always answered our questions patiently and even if you call him on the phone or email, he will reply promptly.
Most importantly he always has very patient and helpful nurses. We love the nurses!
Most importantly we need to be patient and positive going through all the treatments. I did not thought of going up despite going thru all the Plans coz I believe in Dr!
