Hi luv, thanks for your referral. I'll drop by Sonshine later this week.
Caramel, I totally concur with what you have said. It's been financially draining for me and my hubby and sometimes it seemed that we can only pay for basic EIPIC for my son. However, we continue to pray and believe that if God gift us a special person like my son, he would provide for him as well. And no sooner than we had that belief it kept us going and going. My dear mother turns up at my door with some savings when she heard that I wanted to rent out one room for some financial relief. Some months later, my husband got lucky and won some money at ToTo. We put all these into my son's therapy and continue to believe that there's light at the end of the tunnel. That's how we had the means of paying for his one year k4k and now ABA.
I totally understand the frustration going through with the daily grind with our special needs sons. I used to be very demanding with him and saw not much results. However, when I decide to work flexi hours and work together with my son in his therapies, I saw that my son really trying hard for himself, I began to understand that the best way of him learning is to walk together with him, encourage him when he gets frustrate and cheer him on when he improves. I see more results when I comforts him and less when I yell at him. It has made me a better person too. I sing Amazing Grace with my son every day
