'Artistic' Photographs

Hi,

Am new to this forum while searching in the net for stuff.
Wonder if anyone into 'artistic' photos?

Like partial nude or even fully nude photos? What's your intake in taking such.

Reason for asking is, I received a 'red bomb' from a friend of mine, whereby she and her soon to be husband, took a nude photo (hugging with one another) on the wedding invitation email itself. My husband saw it and was quite interested in it. I too shared with him that a few of my friends in facebook, also posted partial nude photos of themself, while pregnant. It got my hubby more interested as well.
He asked me about it, and I'm in dilema. So wonder if anyone out there do have such experience that can share, or what's your opinion about taking such photos.

Well, it depend on one self.
Taking partial nude photos is getting common nowadays.
I have quite a number of friends into such as well.
For full nude, depending already. Some not that comfortable still.
But do know of a few whom took full nude before as well

At this era, such photos are ok. The society in general accept it. The extend of nudity will depend on your 'courage'.

If your husband is ok, you should go w it. When you looked back, you'll b amazed by the sheer courage u hv.

However, the use of these photo will have to b given a thought. As a wedding invitation say while one of you guys are working in a conservative industry (construction, etc esp tightly family-owned biz)... the lvl of nudity, may frown upon by your management. Hence may douse prospect?

However if you are working in an artistic, design env, etc (not exhaustive) eg. Designer, etc... it will b absolutely ok to do it.

Therefore, depends on your audience. All you need is audience that appreciate the art behind it.

As for self keep, by all means. You are young, got the body, flaunt it. You don't see aunty doing this, i think.

Thanks JL8118 and Mongkok for the reply

Mongkok,
Husband is ok. Just I'm still considering. True la. If look back, will feel courage that I did it.
Well, I'm not young anymore also, and more towards auntie le =D

These are called Boudoir Photography. My husband and I engaged a professional female photographer and the pictures turn out very tasteful and artistic, no sleaziness at all. We are very glad we went ahead right after wedding, before my body will start to change after carrying a child. We might get her to do another Boudoir shoot for us again when my belly is more visible.

Few friend also recommended me of one photographer. But not really comfortable to be taken by a male one.

Same here. I prefer female We didn't feel awkward with the lady photographer at all. Just PM you.

I too took it before with my wife. It was by a female photographer too, as my wife is more comfortable with a female than a male. For Kelvin Lim, he's quite good also. If not mistaken, he have a female assistant whom will accompany/assist you throughout the shoot. Just that his rates is quite high compare.
