(Any concern with legs widely open with baby carriers)

Need some advice here. Im very keen to get a baby carrier like ergo or beco. But my mum was telling me that its not good for my daughter to open her legs so wide while being carried in the carrier. My daughter is 5 mths now.

Any comments?

this 'wide open legs' is supposedly good for the babies as it supports a natural sitting position while we're carrying them, as compared to those carriers that let baby dangle from e crotch, with e legs dangling. u try to imagine urself, im sure 'sitting' on a pouch is better than u hanging on ur crotch rite?

also, ergo n beco has those waist belt which doesnt put a strain on ur shoulders as it distributes baby's weight evenly between ur shoulders & hips.

think ur bb 5 mths gd enuf to use e carrier alr. if younger babies usually they wont spread e legs apart or have to use e infant insert. that said, of cos we try to limit e duration of time bb spends in e carrier la. too much of something is nvr good rite?

hope that helps!
