Now I headache cos dun noe which one to choose. My boy currently with GUG, I would like to move him out from there to go to MMI. But not sure which one really good. I went this morning to MMI in upper Thomson, they have changed location again, now only 2 students morning from 0830hrs to 1030hrs, n no class yet for other slots as not enough students. Very pathetic lei. Then went over to the one at sin ming centre. Full for the 1030 slot which I wan, need to waitlist till next term to see how. Ratio is good, max 10 toddlers only.
Went also to the one in Bishan, United Montessori, chaotics....... so many kids but not enough teachers to oversea them, very messy.
I am not looking for childcare for him, I would like to enrol him in enrichment for 2 to 3 hours a day to occupy him.
Please help me.

Think there's Character Montessori in AMK. Not very sure as I've not checked it out personally.

She just wanted me to sign up! All she wanted was $$$. She was rather pushy and attitude changed when I told her I needed to go home and think abt it before signing up. Perhaps, MMI is too commercialised. Kids were left to play on their own when I went up to 2nd level. Overall, I like the clean and big environment. But lack of outdoor activities for kids and the horrible service from the adminstrator. The enrolment there is rather poor, I am not sure why. But I didn't like the way the kids are handled and the way the adminstrator handle parents. Kekeke... maybe I was too fussy.
If you are really keen in Montessori program, I highly recommend Montessori for Children at Novena area. Thumbs up! Do go for a visit there if the location is fine for u. Their program is 3hr daily. =)

ya no longer in that building liao, it is now in the upstairs shophouse next to that. N the building change to sth like little bambis.
I found the character montessori website, but the lady in charge left, so I will call again tomorrow as they have the two hours programme for 18m to 2yrs, so will check out. Thanks.

Hi Funny: Coz, a frd started her dd at 18mths old at full day CC in July. Till now, she was sick for almost half the time. Thus, I have 2nd thoughts of sending her at 18mths old in Jan07.
To me, Shichida activities r quite tedious. A lot of home training to do. But I feel it's a gd exposure for kids. =)
Fees is $780 for a 12 week term, once a wk, 1hr 15 mins. No long queue leh. I managed to get a slot easily.

My boy attends the bilingual weekend class. It's a 2 hr lessons. The lesson includes, free playtime, story telling, art & craft, sing-along, activity time, snack time. My boy always enjoy the art & craft and activity time. It's not bad, just that some teachers are more enthuastics than others. For instance, my boy's class - the chinese teachers are more interesting than the english teachers.
This is his 2nd term with JG, but I don't intend to continue to for a 3rd term. Want to try something else.

Is there a bilingual toddlers group ? currently i am in the babes group suppose to go todds next term but they do not have any slots for me for the time that i want ie 9.30am so next term will still stick to babes group. My next door is for toddlers but I dun see any chinese program leh.
Most monte starts at 2.5 yrs unless you are in those monte CC.

I went to Blossom Monte at Serangoon Garden this morning to check out. Nice environment. The teacher ratio for 18m-2yrs playgroup is good 1:5 and their room has their own toilets. The youngest there now is 21m and all already potty trained. I am so impressed. One con is though the centre is montessori based, the school will not start montessori for the children till they are 2.5yrs. Hence I am not keen, but leaving my option open. You might wan to go and see. If you are looking at that area, you can check out also amazing star montessori at Farleigh Ave. I have not checked out myself but recommended by my friend.

Funny, Yesterday when I bought my boy for GUG class, I paid for the new term in Oct 06 and informed the receptionist that I would like to go for the Parent n Toddlers (bilingual) for the new term 1 in Jan 07, opting for Sun 0930hrs cos Sat dun have 0930class. They will let me noe if have slot for me. So you might wan to go and book. Dun have so many time slots to choose from.

Funny n Wei Lin, Looks like we staying nearby?? Not far from each other? Me at AMK. Yes Funny, GUG is convenient for me too. Find JG not convenient. Wei Lin, what about Newton Kindy since can accept 18m n only 3 times a week? I m thinking of that. Wanted to go now today, but boy having bad cough due to haze, hence brought him to doc,so will go another day. Let's hunt for a place for our kids......... i agreed... so so headache....

Wei Lin, That is what I have in mind..... to start him with newton kindy in Jan, then switch to Marymount kindy in Jan 2008 cos nearer to my place. Have u been to Newton Kindy? How is it? From the web, looks not bad. Now not sure when can pop in cos he has got fever in the evening. Hopefully can go down n see on Friday as the lady asks me to go n see on the days where there is class so I can see for myself if I like.

Wei Lin, my boy older than your gal 2 mths. He is May 05 baby so turning 18m in Nov. N your gal will turn 18m in Jan 07? The lady on the phone told me that yes must accompany your kid for first 6 mths, but if your kid is ready and independent, do not need you, then can be earlier, the teacher will access. Ya if enrol, then our kids will be same class
