Hi i saw your post regarding adoption.. Can i just ask you how does adoption from oversea to sg works? I actually got an email from the US orphanage saying that theres a child up for adoption ..and this birth mom wants a private settlement ..and that i just need to forkout bout 3.7k sgd ..but can be paid installment..process takes abt a mnth or 2..the nanny will bring the child to sg..and the child will be handed to me even before the process ends...but im not sure what paperwork i need to get from them..do i need to engage a lawyer for this ? The lawyer is suppose to liaise with the orpahanage or only once baby is in sg then i engage a lawyer for all paperworks? I hope u can advise further . Thanks.
