maybe really good news le AF don't come is always a possibility that u are preggie that time when u went back to gyne for review, did gyne happen to scan for u?Ya that is what i read leh. if got go up and stays up is good.

pooh, when u come back SG, all u need to do to try their service is dropped them an email, ask what u like to find out eg cost and processes, leave ur contact details. they will get back to you in 1-3 working days.
for the past many years I am always with pte gynae, coz like many I don't like govt hospitals, need to wait etc. but its the same at pte I still have to WAITTTTT. of coz I went to NUH becoz of my recurrent loss. but from there I found out the nurses there are very nice, really nice and concern, drs are patient too. I don't get to see my pte gynae so long and spend so much time but I SPEND more. haha but given a choice I have been with my gynae for so long I do want to go back to him, but with my condition and I decided to stay with NUH.
PLUS I didn't know subsidized patient can really GAIN a lot more. the cost savings can use to buy future baby stuff! haahhaha one scan is only S$30 (shd be subsidized rate), which is more than half the price I pay at pte.
I also heard a lot abt KKH, esp ladies who did ivf at kkh then transfer to nuh, they prefer NUH much better (these are what I heard). if u go in as pte patient in NUH, everything will be expedited, much faster. but I decide to continue using this benefit that I have hahaha might as well. only when I pregnant and stable, then convert to pte then can choose fix gynae I think.

Good morning! Not sure if it's cos of AF coming soon that's causing me to be cranky but I am feeling quite blue (almost wanted to cry on the bus just now).
Just embarked on my TTC road having stopped my OCPs in end December. Tested twice BFN but no sign of my AF coming after my withdrawal bleed on 2 Jan.
Was suggesting to hb last night that I do a series of tests to rule out prolactinoma, PCOS, endometriosis etc etc before we seriously TTC. I told him that it's like checking the race car before the F1 race starts. You don't want to have a tyre falling out in the middle of the race do you? And if you know that the tyre isnt well fixed or if the tyre fixed isnt suitable, change the tyre. Hb was saying why not give my body more time to "wake up" cos it has been sleeping for 2 years.
I am however more keen to do a detailed check cos my menses was not regular to begin with and 10 years ago I consulted Dr WK Tan at TMC. My FSH/LH ratio was haywire and I had elevated levels of prolactin. However when the blood test was repeated, the hormone levels normalised and what she said was to leave things as they are cos I am not TTC (was a university freshman then). So during the past 10 years, my periods were kinda mad, sometimes it is 1 mth.. sometimes 1.5-2 mths.. sometimes 3, until I took OCPs 2 years ago cos we we started to xxxx then but we were not ready for babies then cos we were in the midst of planning for our wedding.
I am very keen on having clomid to stimulate my ovaries now (better if it's possible to just whack 200 mg to hyper stimulate though I doubt that is going to happen and I wonder if the doctor will tell me to go home and wait again), it's just like having ur hb shake u when it is time to wake up for work instead of letting u laze on the bed for 10 mins.. I hate my body. My ki siao menses never bugged me then cos I wasnt TTC and not having my period simply just meant my hormones were mad (cos we weren't even sexually active then) but now....as I told my hubby, I cannot afford to just live with an answer "Let it be". I want a clear proposal on how to solve the problem and make me pregnant fast. I am not going to waste 6 hours and a few hundred dollars to hear that kind of proposal cos even I can do that. I don't even need to see a doctor. And I dont want to waste so much time xxx-ing for R&R purposes. What's the point of doing it if it leads to nothing? I just want to be sure that there is nothing wrong beforehand and if there is, I want a clear proposal on how to solve the problem. E.g. if I am not ovulating properly, give me Clomid immediately. I don't know but I am just feeling very angry.

actually I kinda support how u are feeling. my friend tried 1.5 years in vain. to find out first was hubby prob, 2nd is her cyst issue. so now removed, wait for recovery then can try. the description abt F1 is very true. and minimally I advise to do papsmear. its impt especially if u are taking a serious approach abt ttc. that is to get pregnant asap and not giving urself 1 year to relax and try type.

ditto on "checking the car before racing"... i had the same thoughts... but hb dun want.. say v stressed... try natural for a couple of months first then see... i didn't go ahead coz i myself v lost on all these and have no personal gynae tt i've been visiting... so basic tests also gotta do alot of homework... so now wait and see a couple of months first lor... but if i had a choice like you, would probably go for it. even if the hb not willing to go, at least rule out factors on your side first

This is what I was thinking in view that my "history" is not great. I am currently not seeing any obgyn but I have shortlisted a few.
I wonder if I shld be seeing a normal obgyn or a fertility specialist right from the start?

Haha no lah some couples prefer to just relax and try first so that can strike easily with less stress. U shd just go to a normal Gynae. They can do most of the test u want. I support u to do all these.

Don't be angry! Guys are like that one la. At first my hub don't want to TTC one even, because he want to wait for a few years more then say. But I was like "Hellooooo women got time limit one leh! How to eng eng cheng cheng just wait??"
Just speak to your gynae on your side first. If the first round of clomid doesn't work then get him to do sperm analysis bah.

gammahedging, my history also not good... menses always haywire and very long (1.5-2 months). I went for normal gynae check and detected I got PCOS but he say can still try naturally so I track O and try naturally. I think it is good to go see gynae and just do routine check first and see how. If got no issue, since you just started TTC, can try naturally first. If got issue, they will tell you what else you need to do.

Ya loh ttc is very stressful. If time permits then can try without checking. But I kiasu once I decided to try I go do basic checks with Gynae Liao.yar tt's one reason my hb gave... he say later the tests add to the stress of TCC (when it can alreayd be v stressful)... so want to reduce the stress coz tt can be a factor in not conceiving too

You also #1 hor? having someone with experience will make alot of differenceCheck with your HR on the gynae MC issue! My HR very neow one, so I think most probably they don't accept.
It's based on your comfort level la... there're alot of well-known female gynaes too, don't have to pressure yourself into getting a male gynae!
Alot of my friends go to Dr Irene Chua.I didn't do hardcore research la, but from what my friend said, the amount she paid for a Glen E 4 bedder (for her #1) is about the same as Mt A single bedder (for her #2).

hope you have a hot water bottle nearby to ease it? and stay away from cold drinks/food... keeping your uterus constantly warm is not just good for AF/preggy, but for your health in general
