2016/07 July babies

Mine is trained to sleep in extreme noise. Not purposely but she gone thru reno works at below neighbor's unit and now road construction which is major and loud.

I do place a bean pillow across her chest. Have you tried that before?

Fail. My house has got aircrafts zooming past. Swaddling and closing windows during sleep time is the only way to go right now.

I understand what it's like @KWL, mine is an extremely light sleeper, swaddling doesn't work, I will try to lie beside her, think my warmth and familiar smell probably conforts her. Will also play soft music, think that helps a bit.

Co-sleeping and white noise from noise do work. But I am looking at more sustainable methods that will allow the little one to sleep independently in the cot. Because I will be going back to work in 3 weeks time and I won't be ard to accompany during work days

Sleep on tummy might help but need to monitor.

@gan1972 can check how many pkt of fbm/ stock u prepared before going to work? I m getting worried that my supply will dip fast and stash not enough.
I didn't count the number of packet ...mine is a small eater, so average 400ml from frozen and rest from the pump I do morning and night, as of now she has drank about 7600 ml of frozen. The remaining stash at most can last me another week till next Friday.

Shld have tried stock more during my ml.....

As for baby fair, I got a pram! Is only $99!!! And only 4.3kg!! Damn happy. Was gonna get the Aprica one, $339 or 399, can't rem...just as I was about to pay I checked to see if bb can face me...omg cannot :( but ya, quite happy la, with the $ I saved can get other stuff.

Ran out of steam at 3pm. Did have a nice meet up and long chat with one other mummy from the watsapp grp, now got another daiso kaki lol.

Maybe returning tmrw to get more stuff since now I got stroller. Give my csec a chance to heal.

As for deals, I think the star deal today is the stroller liow. Also didn't hear other mummies day anything fantastic, they decided to get diapers online, they said fair prices don't best qoo10. So I dunno liow.

I did get a bamboo blanket and bamboo muslin swaddles, as well as more diaper covers.

I will pull out my nipples but she will suck tightly. If I pull it out totally she will not cry but cont to suckle her lips for a while so I'm really not sure if she is hungry.
As for startled baby, sleeping on tummy really helps. I guess our LO is ok to sleep on tummy since their neck is stronger n can turn on its own. You can try.

Actually yes diaper can get from qoo10 n it can be cheaper with coupon. But I got my momy poko from Amk ck. It's only $9 per pack previously though it increase its price to $9.50 recently.

Recently I went shopping with my mum and bought merries from ntuc. 2 for $39.90. And if you purchase more than $90, you get $15 ntuc voucher in return. Still got some free samples of cream

I bought 6 pkt at a go after checking with customer service that the vouchers are still in stock. Asked my mum to take care of baby. I lugged 6pkt of diapers Haha. Carry die me

Bubbles chut new pattern. She forcefully spits out her ridwind omg! Twice already she tried! So now after the initial stroke stroke gulp, I entice her to swallow sooner by placing my nipple close to her lips, not letting her latch til she gulps. Augh!

Went to the baby fair on Friday and shopped for 2 hours! Haha~ so happy finally get to slowly walk around all the stores. Some just look look some will see what kind of deals they have :)

Didn't get much since I still have 6 packs of M size diapers at home  hopefully can use them all before bb outsize them.

Got my boy a pair of shoes!!! I guess shoes are girls best friends and so is their kids! :D

Ahhhhhhh I want to go shopping!!! But really super diff to bring the kids along. The one way is to leave them at my mum place but no kaki to go shopping with me then.. Where is my shopping life?

Went kallang wave pt yesterday, bubbles refused to sleep!!! Stroller, wrap, hand carry...she just eye big big, and even tried to reach out and touch strangers next to us in the train OMG

AND TANTRUMS

Had to get off to soothe her a few times before continuing our journey.

But she did sleep 6 hrs straight after we got home!!!

Now I'm so buzzed from sleeping 4 hrs straight. Feel like going back to baby fair in the morning lol

Ambitious much.

Thanks! I m applying some of the techniques already. These two days are bad. Shortly after 1hr plus, baby will wake up once for first feeding. And it continues for the rest of the night every 1-2hr. Baby doesn't wake up to play and will sleep after nursing. Why ah?

Cannot be spurting all weeks long right?
I've read it can, esp at 3rd and 6th mth :(

Simi shoes! I thought of getting that socks/shoes hybrid, think it was a 1-for-1 deal, but like too early to buy haha!

On waking up at night, mine too, and it's never been like that. She's always gone right back to slp after feeding, but these two nights, omg, cannot slp, must carry in a certain position otherwise all hell breaks loose. Carry for two hours at least each time she wakes. Why???

I am getting that "carry in a certain position" during the day. In fact - now

Last week for me was like that. 3rd Month growth spurt, as warned by another mama who recently went through it.

But ya, along with growth spurt are the developmental leaps, so I just go with the flow and try to get as much sleep as I can. And mummy tummy time since she refuses to be apart from me.

I plan to sew some pre-walkers to get her used to the idea of shoes, she's only now barely accepting of socks lol

JTS, Leisure Park Kallang has a mothercare factory outlet!

Only $15 per set, limited options tho...but if u r in the area can drop by tokutokuya also on lvl 2!

Hi mummies, I wondering any fb group for baby carrier ? I wanna learn more about it, I plan to get a new carrier as my baby don't like my current one. Thanks

My baby neck become very firm since yesterday, he likes me to carry him facing front outward and rest his head n back on my chest but yesterday when I carry him, he head and back didn't rest against me and he can move his head to look around. Wow so amaze that they grow up so fast!

No prob! What are u planning to get?
Actually I shortlisted I angel and ergobaby 360 because my baby like to be carry front outward and he prefer a support on his butt. I notice when I roll a Muslim swaddle n put below the carrier he is ok with it but will make noise when he get hot. Just now glance through the fb group, hmmm front outward n hip seat is non ergonomic.. Sigh
Lenny lamb n Tula very nice but don't know my baby can accept it or not, where can try Tula ?

Yeah outward facing is not recommended...as for where to try, I think can try searching in group for key words "tula try"....I believe bumwear can try, at plaza sing and marina sq? Usually they have booths at baby fair, prices also better there.

I'm also looking between LL and Tula, but they v ex and I still like wraps. Just want to get an SSC more for hubby to use, and when I push the pram out...

I have an i-angel and in my opinion, i dont think it is suitable for young babies. That time i used it when my elder son can sit (aound 7mths & abv).

I am thinking of getting a 2nd hand tula cos it seems these soft structured carriers are better for young babies and petite mummies. But i saw pple selling preloved tulas at $200+ in carousell like not very worth while to get it.

@tuna very nice of you, thanks but I stay at Yishun :) ergobaby n Tula which one u prefer more ?

@starview not worth getting from casousell, I saw some seller selling it at $500 for second hand Tula... Hmm I assume is limited edition ? Haha anyway I saw this website selling at 200 plus for new one
http://www.kulily.com/baby-carriers-slings/

@snowfern bumwear.. I think ms square have if I never see wrongly, it's near my office haha ya very ex.. But for me as long as my baby willing to go in I will buy lo, if not I got tied down at home can't go shopping freely.

@emk if you don't mind coming to Tampines, I can lend you to try my tula :p Initially when i bought my first tula, I also didn't try and just buy because I like the design. Lucky my boy didn't reject sitting in it. If not wasted. HAHA~

@emk - the size of the ergo carrier is bigger (wider) Instructions state it's suitable for use from 6 mths. For my older kids, I went everywhere with them in it after 6 mths. Haven't used it on this bb yet.
Tula I bought 2 mths back. Instructions state suitable for use from 6.8 kg (smaller must use infant insert). I've been using without insert for past 1 mth becos my bb bui bui, wt-wise met requirement liao. Tula's material slightly thinner than ergo, and also offers a huge variety of beautiful designs (the reason why I couldn't resist the temptation!)
If u get ergo, I'm not sure if u can use it now. Better to try before buying.

@sarah haha tampines too far !!! Thanks
@tuna oh my baby 6.9kg btw Tula got two type is it ? Tula baby n Tula toddle. Tula baby can use up to how many kg? I see website they got a Tula mesh, will it be more cooler ? Haha

I didn't know got tula mesh! I was eyeing kinderpack also cos mesh plus it seems v good, a mama recommended manduca also, she say v durable and also mesh....haiz

Emk me stay at yishun (Ave 7). Can try my ergobaby!

I haven't been using it for maybe a month and tonight she seems to be fussy. can't put her down long. So decided to whip out the ergobaby tonight. How she has grown as don't need the rolled towel as her seat anymore. But she dislikes it now as it kind of limits her line of vision since she has been used to sitting up with her stable neck. Can see more. For past weeks she takes even more interest in her surroundings, eyes always very busy.

But then maybe tonight is not a good night to judge. Wait till her 心情better first on another day.

@emk - sorry sorry, tula suitable for use from 7-20 kg. Yes, tula comes in two sizes, standard and toddler. Not sure about the Tula toddler, should be able to take up to slightly heavier weight ba, but no way I'm gonna carry her in carrier when she's heavier than 18 kg! So the standard is enough for me. Tula mesh confirm cooler.

@sarah - you said your first Tula. Haha, how many u have liao? The designs are too tempting!

@snowfern - I was considering manduca also, but it has no design at all to speak of, and I'm a colour person, so I got Tula.

@snowfern manduca ???!!! No way ... It's very HOT!!! Hahaha I'm using manduca and it's quite heavy and hard to adjust. The material very thick leh ...
@redvel wow we are very close, me stay at avenue 11 :)
