I still don't get it why lochia is considered dirty when I popped a baby and my hubby is the father of the child. Hee but of course there's always a part of tradition that will always stay and pass on to next generation.

Anyway during confinement and menses I will wear disposable undies.

Traditionally, ladies's undergarment consider "dirty". Pantang for Mens to walk pass it under it. During confinement, we having lochia. " Lai heng" so consider dirty Lo. Elderly want us to separately wash our clothes from them. For me, my mum do for confinement. Baby clothes wash separately. Mine machine wash togather with other adult clothes.

When I first got married I lived w my inlaws for 9months. When I wash my clothes (undergarments and all) with my husband my MIL also asked, "you all wash together?"

But she nv nag and I also indifferent act blur. I also duno what's wrong cos in my own home b4 marriage, my clothes also wash w my brother and my dad's. And also have to hang out for them to dry...

So weird that women want to belittle women... Tough cos that's how they r brought up haha!

Mostly 28days, some ladies book 40 days... I extended my CL for 3 days cos I need help over the weekend... Monday is her last day, sobs!!

Confinement package is standard 28days. You can always extend so long she is available.

As much as I hope my CL can be around to help after the 28days, we decide to end as that as we also look forward to bonding more with our bb and also clean up the whole house especially kitchen due to the heavy cooking. We are used to very little or light cooking.

Haha exact sediments about the kitchen ! And the fridge is a mess too.. Dun think will extend as want to bond with the princess before I return to work. Thinking of catering anther 14 days of confinement food so is like doing 40'days of confinement

Yup me c sect. Same day as u. My lochia 1st 2wks very light/ spotting. Then came heavy on days 10days until now. I start massage on 15days even more heavy. Clear out the old lining.

I thought if LO is pooping well it's a good thing? Is the poop watery? If not I think it's a good thing that LO is pooping well.

Redvel, i m a sucker for confinement food =p! actually can order normal tingkat meal much cheaper..
Emk I m 18 days post c section. Actually I tot frequent poop is ok. I m hopping mone poop more as she is having jaundice . Although she is on mostly ebm but she doesn't poop after every meal... Which makes me worry

My masseur very experience. She has been doing for almost 16yrs. She know where the point to massage. Her fee is reasonable. For Bukit batok area she charge 7sessions for abt $400. 1session abt 90mins.

My LO pooing not watery, just small pooping every 3 hours. My Cl worry the fm not suit him and cause him to keep pooping. I'm using Enfamil.

Hello, if you suspect baby is making noise when drinking due to difficulties in breathing, it may be because he has mucus at the back of his nose. You can use kids nasal spray to help him breath better and so he can drink and sleep better too. Nasal spray is basically salt water so it's safe even if baby swallows them. Hope it helps you

Hihi, just to share, I had csec too and my lochia lasted for 8 weeks. Heavy bright red then became pink and then brownish at the 6th week, stopped for 3 days and started flowing bright red again! Visited my gynae and he said I am ok just hormones reacting as I am ovulating again. However I read that seeing bring red again after it became brownish is not normal but not uncommon, so anything you feel not right, just pay a visit to your gynae

Hi Emk, that's totally fine dear~ my baby boy finishes 24pcs of diapers in 2 days when be was a newborn! Now he is 3months old every thing more stable! Hang in there, it will get better soon!

Is there any reasons why we should or should not use the pacifier? I didn't give pacifier to no1, now thinking if I should give to no2? If not, what are the compelling reasons?

I am thinking about this too. Some elderly say baby chewing on pacifier will affect their teething growing. But I don't believe. I guess many young parent think its unsightly? I introduced it to my baby boy at week 3 but he doesnt like it. Haha!

I will accumulate my clothes and machine wash it to avoid any unhappiness in CL and in-laws.

It's only been a week and my flow is quite light after I discharged from hospital.

when I'm staying with my in-laws, all the clothes are washed by the maid. I think she washed them separately. But I have since moved to my own house and I'll just washed them together. My hubby doesn't mind because we can save on the water I think it all depends on yourself. If you are comfortable with washing together, then it's fine.

Anyway, into my 3rd week of post pregnancy, a bit worried when my CL leaves and I have to handle LO myself

Mine doesn't poop 2-3 hours.... She is more like fm baby.... Her poo is normal bm baby poop.

I m using nuk bottles n teats.... Not sure if the teat hole is too big although it is stage 1 teat coz sometimes she drinks till like very 'chuan'

My bb initially was on nuk too. My CL also feedback she drinks until very long very chuan. CL was trying to figure out why that is so. She then tried to pull out just a little while bottle feeding. This is because my bb clenches quite hard thus biting into the smaller valve of the teat. That's why the milk couldn't flow out nicely. By pulling out a bit, problem solved. However I also went to buy Avent bottle. Seems like Avent is easier for my bb.

If u latch your baby at nite, there is no need to wake up especially to pump.

MOTN stands for middle of the night.

My boobs cannot sustain 5hrs, output drop, now I am back to 4hrly.

I usually pump out around 11-12plus at night and then pump out at 7am or direct latch ard 6 plus in the morning if hear bb cry next door. She is sleeping wif my CL in the night.

Ya, I also found that output drop and usually my boob will feel painful ard 7 in the morning.

Think I need to spread 4-5 hrs interval each time.

Yes, my LO poos 5 times today.. I also give bm and fm separate timings. According to CL is quite normal, cos bm helps in digestion. Nowadays I just direct latch on, so I don't know how much I have but usually night time can pump 60-80ml depends sometimes..

I have the same question as u...

Today I latch him and he only took one side. He drinks until milk flow out of the corner of his mouth. Then he purse his lips. I offered the other side but he refused to open his golden mouth.

So he was sleeping then he cried shortly and CL fed him ebm 90ml (usual feed is 80ml) cos I pumped as he did not clear my breasts... If this goes on I duno if I Shld latch or just EP...

Any advice wld be helpful, should I train him to latch exclusively instead?

It is the 2nd night in the row that Bubbles refuses to unlatch. The good news is it is also day 3, and I can see my output is increasing and turning milky. The bad is I can't go pee!!! The moment I put her down in the bassinet, she stirs and screams her head off. Initially I'd thought it was colic, but after burping, changing, re-latching etc she still just doesn't want to leave my side.

I'm fine with that but I really need a pee T.T

Different CLs have their own ways and one tip I was given is don't chat up or look into the eyes of your bb during feeding. Let your bb focus on the feed. By making teasing chat or looking into his eyes, it may stir his play mode, thus disrupting the feed.

I just forgot what CL told me and went to look right into the eyes of my bb while CL is feeding (wanted to check if my bb is ok as it is thundering loud). CL covered bb eyes with her hand. Hahah.

Her jaundice level was 162, they say is normal for now, so I figure, let her top up a bit, today when I go back i play catch up with pumping and latching and babywearing....

My bb also like to fall asleep while latching. Can only wake up after putting her down on the bed then she will start crying for milk again. Latch her on, she fell asleep again after like 5mins.

My PD said put some ruyi oil on your palms & rub. Then cupped your palms over your bb's tummy. Don't apply directly on bb.

Congrats, late the nurse do the work. U r paying the hopsital fee. . Catch up your sleep there. After come home, i have to do all the pumping n feeding of baby. No luxury to slee thru the night. At night ur breast will be enorged too.

I have not applied yet but for my elder I did, put a drop on my Palms rub the hands and cup our hands on the tummy....do this after bath
But I dun think I did that girl my elder when she is less than 1 month, think after full month

For number 2, I just kept trying to burp. My cl said baby has more wind with fm... I also notice she throws out more when drinking fm

You'll get the hang of the pump in no time.

I'm using medela freestyle which comes with handsfree straps to clip onto your nursing bra. Such a hassle to use omg. So i used a sports bra and cut two holes at the tits part. It's so much more easier this way.
