Hello to all Mummies and mums-to-be!

This is my first pregancy and am currently at Week 11. I have scheduled for my OSCAR screening next week. My gynae is Dr Chia from Mount Elizabeth but I usually see her at the Edinburgh Clinic at CCK where she do her night consultation every Mondays.

Hi Pixie,

did you inform your previous gynae before you switched dr? I'm thinking whether to switch as well.
Hope your MS gets better. I was admitted to KKH over the weekend for dehydration and had red spotting.
Do ask your dr for medicines to cope with MS.
i didnt inform. only inform my current gynae of my previous gynae in case he needs to get my data from her.
my doc did ask me, but i do not want to take any medication at all. although it is "safe" for pregnancy, but no one guarantee 100% wont impact the babies. my gynae also told me best is dun take. unless i really want to take then he will prescribe. so i choose not to take

I see. I was admitted over the weekend at KKH due to dehydration and had fresh red spotting. Literally dripping blood like period. Was put on drip for 36hrs. Now back home and they gave me 5 medicines and 3 vitamins. You take care ya! Try sipping small amount of 100plus even if you no appetite to eat, that's what the nurse told me before I discharge.

Oh my gosh! Hope the red spotting goes away and never comes back!! Remember try not to bend or squat as much as possible. And rest rest rest! You are a princess this 9 months!

does any one know when the next appt should be fixed after the Oscar test?
is it one month later?
I think it's 3 weeks to 4 weeks later. Depending on when your gynae want to see u again. Ask your nurse? Usually they will advice and give u a few dates to choose. :)

i told my gynae that my MS is trigger either by some chemical / food smell or motion sickness. now i'm at home, im able to eat something as long as it doesnt have smell.

hmmn, cos I am going to be discharged by my current doc soon, cos he is a ivf specialist and does not do delivery. my last apt with him will be on 9 sep to do the Oscar test then I have to move on to normal gynae. but was wondering if I shld book now for a date or wait until after the test. just worried that I am not able to get an appt if the gynae is one of those popular ones.

I wonder if pregnant can still take chest x-ray.. cos I need to go for a medical appt for a new job, not sure if I wan to declare now since I am not yet pass the 1st tri.. haiz..
Chest xray usually cannot be done when you are preg. Usually when go for medical check up for job. You go for chest xray. They will ask when is your last menses. And are you pregnant.

Erm, they scanned and saw a 3rd waterbag but is empty. Now waiting for body to absorb. Hope everything will turn out fine.
Hi jeannie kong,

That was what happened to me too 2 months ago. But eventually I think the water bag was not absorbed and took my baby away. Now seeing tcm to tiao my body back to good health.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Take care dear!
Crossing my fingers now. I'll follow-up with my doctor to see what can be done.

Hi jeannie kong,

By then, if going by my last menstruation date, should be 9 weeks. However, ultrasound only showed 6 days and 1 week.

How many weeks are you now, Jeannie?

Hihi mummies to be,
I just confirmed my pregnancy with my gynae and found out that I'm 11 weeks+ now.
Just wondering if any mummies took the Panaroma test?

Hi jeannie kong,

That is good to know. So just another 3 to 4 weeks and you will pass the first trimester; and the pregnancy will be a lot more stable.

I heard from my gynae's senior nurse at Thomson Medical Centre that for pregnant women, developing water bag which cause bleeding is very common. However, everybody is different; so I suppose some of us will sail through it, and some of us will not make it.

should put on the same day then you wont need to travel up and down another time cos my doctor's apt is 1 hour after my scans and Oscar test.
my doc and test is done on different places... so no need same day...
my test is done at NUH
my doc clinic is at jurong point

coz his clinic does not have the high tech 4D scan to check the structures of the foetus.. he say the high tech 4D scan can see the fluid around the neck to check down symptom and any problems.

Hi ladies,
I am expecting my 3rd one, my eldest one is already 8 and 2rd one is 7. My edd given is 3 Apr, but I decided to join march grp coz doctor said very likely to be early. I took out my IUD in last yr Nov as we decided to have our 3rd one. I was conceived aft two cycles, however, is was an abnormal one and miscarriage on 1 May and did D&C in 2 May. The tissue was send for test and the miscarriage was due to Complete Molar Pregnency (CMP). I am suppose to wait for 6 mths aft the D&C for the next preg. However, gynae said is ok as long as the baby is a normal one. So now i am still kinda of worries... although, gynae said is a normal &healthy one... wonder to take oscar or harmony test.

What does complete molar pregnancy means?
Complete molar pregnancy. An egg with no genetic information is fertilized by a sperm. It does not develop into a fetus but continues to grow as a lump of abnormal tissue that looks a bit like a cluster of grapes and can fill the uterus.

I suspectthis got to do with the IUD. Coz i nv had any mense during the 4 yrs.

Hi all,
I am new here. 9 weeks now and edd is end Mar.

Can I know what vitamins are you all taking? My doctor only gave me folic acid.
I remember reading somewhere that taking prenatal vitamins is important but my doctor told me not necessary to take it, he said take it at a later part.
So confused and also afraid i'm not getting enough vitamins.

I'm prescribed duphaston (安胎药), folic acid & metoclopramide (for MS).

I do rem my colleague who has 2 kids tell me that first trimester is still too early to take those prenatal vitamins.
Oh ok thanks.. then i guess i shouldn't worry too much.
