Hey RnRnr, so did they call? Or u decide to change gynae le?
 
@tupapa - coincidentally I jus called kkh for a first appt (set 23 feb) and they allocated Dr kim teng tan to me. Can share ur experience w her? I think both hubby n I are more comfy w a female doc end of the day. .. possible to chance to a private gynae if I don't comfy end of the day?

Whatever I heard are jus hearsay so not worth mentioning, wld rather hear from horse's mouth. . Lol

Yo Damahome, yes the nurse called ( i should have asked for her name). She told me that doctor wants to see me before my OSCAR scan:(
and she doesnt have other timing for me anymore (quite insits). So at last i booked on 27th Feb- see doc in Mt.A in morning , then noon proceed to NUH for Oscar scan...
Still feel bit not comfortable with their service..but ,will think most probly will just go on 27th and see how it goes.
Otherwise, i need to crack my head again to look for other gynae..:(:(

Mt .A needs to pay cash too?
I just heard from my colleague, Dr Esther ever get some "cases" before (about paying tax thingy).. Did you heard abt it ?
was it the reason why she asked patient to pay CASH only?

Just happened to received some negative feedbacks.. but try not to think abt it.Hope i make a good choice ,gal:)

I took when i see him at week 12th :)

U can opt for prenatal milk if you are worried abt nutrition intake.
I requested for samples from dumex and nestle.

Hi Melodyx,

Your gynae should be able to prescribe you some thing to help the situation. I used to have similar problems before my pregnancy and all GPs medication couldn't help.
But when I went to a gynae, she gave me one tablet and it eased the situation immediately. Though I can't be sure if it's antibiotics but worth a consultation.

I read online also that fungus infection won't harm the baby but play safe!

she's very straight forward. so don't expect things like "hi... how do u feel?" that kind of nice nice stuff. she's straight into "any nausea? any discharge? anything uncomfortable?" that kind of business stuff. expect appointments to be over in 10 min or less.

we just saw her today. EDD cannot be determined so next appointment then determine. did a scan but cos it's too early the scan is virginal and not on tummy... saw the little heartbeat and confirm to be single baby... too small to see much other than determine to be 6 week ++

Tupapa you mentioned this gynea was able to manage your wife's situation well with burst vessels etc. can you elaborate more on the experience? Thanks

my own experience: my girl is 3.4 kg at birth so she's quite big. as she came out, she probably burst a blood vessel in the womb thus there was a lot of blood and I heard dr Tan said that a blood vessel was ruptured. Dr Tan was very calm and just proceed to stitch up the blood vessel to stop the bleeding. the midwife is also very calm to assist in the stitch. when my girl came out the cord was also around her neck and Dr Tan just looped the cord out so that my girl can breathe.

what i hear about Dr Tan is that she's super experienced (ex-head of O&G of KKH) and she's very cautious. if she thinks something is not right she will refer for more scans or to the right doctor to confirm. she is also known to be "lucky" and able to have good results even with complicated pregnancies. if she thinks you need rest she will give lots of MCs to let you rest. these are all heard from my sis-in-law and bro-in-law who are both doctors themselves so it's reliable. my sis-in-law's 3 kids are all delivered by Dr Tan.

Just when I thought I do not have much MS symptoms, now at wk 10 ++, I have been feeling Super nauseous and the need to vomit but with no actual vomitus. Argh....
 
Hi all mummy-to-be, i'm currently 12weeks+ pregnant and EDD is 5 Sept 15. not much MS symptoms but keep feeling hungry and sleepy...

Hi there, I went at about early 7 week and did ultrasound scan. Saw the baby and even heard the heartbeat! Think it's better to check before 10 weeks. You can clarify any doubts or seek advice and act on the guidance earlier.

Hi. Sane.. but hor Yesterday night. . I did a home pregnancy test but couldn't see the two line. So is it means I m not pregnant or its because it's too early to test or I should test in the morning instead. .

Sometimes it could be v faint as still very early. Try clearblue 3 days later. :)
