counting down to end of working week. weekend is here again folks. have a great one. watching movie tomorrow and dinner feast with friends. hopefully they dont go places with lots of raw cooling food lol. have yet to break the pregnancy news to any friends.

1. BN Medela tendercare hydrogel pads retail $32.90, letting go at $20 incl normal mail. Soothes sore nipples during initial breastfeeding. Good to have at least one box on standby
2. Preloved Belly Bandit abdominal binder $15. Good condition except one small area of discolouration. Pics available on pm.
3. BN simple wishes hands free bra for hands free pumping. Retail $52.90, letting go at $38 with reg mail/$35 normal mail
4. BN set of 5 rompers for 0-3mth $12 incl normal mail
5. Preloved Pumpin Pal M size funnels at $20 per pair (retail $28.80) incl normal mail. Used less than 10 times, as size was wrong. Washed and sterilised.

Hmm If I rem correctly, after bfp, I see dr tan every 2 weeks till 3 months wor. My colleagues even ask why so frequent.

Lynncandy from trying to BfP through iui/ivf it took me 2 years. I didn wait long for natural to happen before I seek help. Doc actually doesn't want me to go ahead with all this treatment he still find we didn try naturally hard enough lol. But I insist to try iui if fail then ivf. Don't want to waste time. But you are really lucky to succeed with first time iui. The success rate is really low. Guess we both belongs to the didn bd at the right time every month :)

Meilingg I bought the elastic belly band at kiddy palace. They should place it near the maternity stuff (clothes, bra, panties etc) is not a must to buy but since early stage if tummy started to bloat can increase abit of waist size so to get new bottoms seems a bit waste of money. So the elastic band actually helps to secure your bottoms by increasing a few inch. Go and take a look the box will have picture where the model wear it on their pants.

Those who bfp under Dr Tan, do you intend to stick with dr tan or switch to other dr within kkh or pte gynae?
 
Hello sisters, is not a good day for me. I spotted bleeding and went to o&g. Currently was admitted to kkh as quite a lot of blood :(
 
@yue I bought it at choa Chu kang lot 1 kiddy palace. It's near the maternity wear section. It's packed in a box and If I remember correctly is $45. Comes in 4 extension piece and 3 Pieces of cloth.

@LynnCandy r u allright? You mean you stay over in ward? Praying for your beanie. Hope it's nothing serious just some stretching of womb due to growing beanie that is causing the red. Relax ya.

@nidellia I think back then dr tan not so busy guess now he cannot afford every patient see in two weeks interval. Hahaha so you are the lucky one. When I told my bro checkup 4 weeks later his first reaction it's too long I think better go two weeks interval to play safe. Maybe he heard a lot of story from friends who checkup too far apart with bad ending so that's why he advise find extra gynae outside just to check up. Thou it's extra cost but for ease of mind I guess it's better too.

iwantahealthbaby,my #1 under dr june tan.She is gentle but too busy, the waiting time could be very long. last time singleton first 2 trimester could see her as far as 5 week once. but in my 3rd trimester due to low amniotic fluid, i need to see her weekly. so her appt is schedule based on case to case ba...

i choose to stick back to kkh due to 2 reason, i have direct transport to kkh and not too far from my house. besides that i have discloid lupus, now seeing dr in nsc n ttsh, all 3 under singhealth and the database are shared. if i go private everytime need to request lab repory, so troublesome.
 
@sukif yes understand. Govt hospital still got some advantages and ease like for your case. So this time round have you decide on your gynae. I understand too dr June tan very busy. In fact when I try to aptm with her the nurse say just nice got a patient cancel so got a available slot next week. If not must wait till end month. So I guess after seeing her next week my next aptm most probably will be like what you mention 4-5weeks apart. Initially I wanted prof tee but nurse say he cannot accept my case he too busy already after checking with him.
 
I am warded. My beanie is currently fine but surrounding beanie don't know why got blood. I get to see beanie and they ever on the speaker to hear beanie's heartheart better and clearer than amc. They give me a jab too but as quite a lot of blood got to stay in hospital. Yesterday I watch very scarey movie think got to stop watching as maybe beanie is scare.
Well got to stay here and see how. Actually the 24hrs service is quite fast. I am glad at least beanie is now ok.

May I ask how much blood u see? Cover whole panty liner kind?
Did u get startle during the show?

The whole toilet bowl was blood. Think more than the panty liner. See already I got shocked. Then I told my husband faster bring me to o&g. I think is the scary movie fault. As it was a blood scene show.
When I reach o&g and do the scan, the whole scan stick also blood.
I can't really sleep in the ward, now waiting for them to serve me breakfast as beanie is hungry already. Later Dr S will come.
 
:( doctor just came saying I got to stay in hospital for a few days to monitor. Pray hard beanie will be fine throughout.

Lynncandy did dr s even mention what could happen? Why suddenly will have blood surrounding beanie? But no pain right? Are you still bleeding now? Make sure doc attend to you regularly during the stay.

Hi Lynn Candy, hope u will be better soon. Can hear the heartbeat is a good sign liao. Take care, and be extra careful to move slowly when u are discharged.
 
Also don't know why. Just bleeding surround the beanie bag. Hope is a one off thing. But doctor say is common for some patients. Maybe beanie really got scare by the movie. Btw no pain.. Only go toilet see the blood then got a shocked.
After the jab the bleeding stop but still got to monitor. Think I always forget to eat duphaston at night. Now I got to take 3 times daily. Hopefully I can be discharge soon.

Lynn do u know how different is the cost btw kkh private and outsid private. I am considering kkh cuz of cost. But if outside is the same, maybe better, because more personal. Just had the experience of gg to KKH 24H O and G... Fast and generally ok, but I didn't reslly like it that I had to repeat all kinds of info to them, as if I have never gone to KKH before.

Yup think the extra duphsaton will help. I was also prescribed extra for bleeding. For myself I noticed the bleeding came after there was a lot of walking here and there and under the sun. So now on we just got to be more careful, don't stress, walk slowly. Take care ya. How's the ward food and all?
 
I am actually doing a search yesterday on outside doc but heard that the good ones still got to wait when visit them. Just that of course they are more personal. However due to the current incident, think I will stick to kkh as my records are here and Dr S knows my case. Most likely I cannot transfer out only until 1st trimester over.

Hehe hospital food is always so so but not bad they served pancake with maple syrup, sausage, apple juice and milo. Can choose from a list of menu. I choose all Western as no pork. Chinese dishes mostly got pork which beanie does not like. Haha my beanie still like fish burger.
 
Ya think u always forget the duphaston at night that might be the reason. Lucky dr say quite common means nothing usual. You be in good hands. If ward food sucks you can always get hubbs to get you delifrance ;)

Actually the food sounds not too bad. Haha wow ur beanie alr got preference huh! Ask ur hubby buy u fillet o fish!
 
Lynncandy, hope everything is ok with you!!!!! Glad that beanie is fine.

I also woke up with shock. But after reading your messages, mine is just small case. But when I was turning in bed, suddenly very warm then got blood clot came out. Just 1 pc about 10 cents to 20 cents size. Made sure it was just blood then I relax a bit.

I am just hoping that it is because of the v scan yesterday at 24hr clinic.
 
Kkh not bad. Tea time still got served red dates or ginger tea or others which can be choose from. Got Pandan cake to eat also.
Stay here is like sleep Wake up eat then sleep wake up eat again.
 
Glad that you are enjoying yourself there Lynn. Positive mind! Good! Today I weigh myself I gain 3kg. Feeling very fat. It's just 1st trimester and I cannot control the weight. Jialat
 
Iwantahealthybaby: as we have no nausea symptoms tends to gain a bit but hungry still must eat. Maybe just eat healthy food. Not fish burger and fries every meal haha. Although I did crave for fish burger but also seldom eat. My meals are mainly those fish soup with mee hoon and one a while will eat mixed rice but healthier dish selection.

Yah... i never seen so much red for this cycle until after the v scan. Still monitoring.

If it worsens then will go o&g.
 
Hi ladies, I am contemplating to change to private gynae. Any ideas when is the right time to move out of public hospital? NUH antenatal package starts from 22 weeks onwards. Just not sure how early I should move out to private gynae.
 
Bb_hc if your private gynae got package it's better to change earlier so you can make use of the package deal. If don't have I think anytime also can change. Guess nuh also scan you 3-4 weeks apart. As for private gynae you can chose 2 weeks scan once.
 
Can only take Up package after clear all test. Their package is 800. Doctor will decide when to see. So not every two weeks.
 
Today, the nurse mentions a lot of test, one before week 14 and another around week 20. Can enlighten me? It cost around 400 for the one before week 14. And another 130 for the one at week 20. Now not comfortable at abdomen. Sigh.

Heard from my colleague that bleeding during first trimester is qt common, but still better to check w doctor to be on safe side. Continue to rest and keep calm :)
